White.
As far as the eye can see. 'Where am I?' Clay looked around in bewilderment. 'I was picking up food from from McDonald's, then I...' He held his head from the minor headache he had. 'I can't remember much after that..'
Holding his head drew his attention to the edge of his sleeves, then to his entire body. 'My clothes are ripped and...bloodied? Did I get jumped or something and went crazy? Explains the white room, heha..' Since he was alone, he decided to strip down out of the uncomfortable clothes.
Now being naked, he started looking around for walls or cameras or something that proved he was atleast in a room. 'It's odd though. My body,..has it gotten stronger? Not only that...' He looked down and widened his left eye.
He took his contacts out then did the same with his right. 'Yeah, like I thought,...I can see perfectly fine. 20/20 vision or something? I could see so well that I saw through my contacts...'
He bawled and unbawled his fist, realizing he felt really energetic for some reason. Like someone high off drugs. 'I'm at my peak, aren't I? The hell did the doctors give me..?' He chuckled aloud before continuing his search, weirdly under the assumption that he was actually in some sort of hospital.
The search didn't last long as he seemingly heard a door close from behind, prompting him to look in unison.
It was then he saw a figure walking towards him. With his vision being repaired now, he could see that it was a young man with silver-white hair and golden colored pupils.
'He's...gorgeous. What a beautiful man..' The man smiled and stopped a few feet away from Clay. "Welcome....To Heavens Gate.." The man proclaimed. A surprised Clay cocked his head back with a confused outlook. "Come again? Ah, another crazy is in her as well. I see..."
Clay shrugged off what he said and turned back around. Shining bright light struck his face as a huge, golden gate was now in view. It's height, infinite. It's length as well. 'Wha-..?' Clay was at a lost for words. "Like I said,.."
The man coughed and Clay stood at attention. "Welcome, My Child, To Heavens Gates..." The memories of the accident came flooding back in, causing a sudden realization. 'Death? I'm dead?! I didn't think I'd actually die, crap... No, of course I did! I was hit by two vehicles for christ sakes!'
Facing the man in his mind would mean accepting that death and so he turned around. He was the first man in human history to have ever turned away from God in his presence. "I know you are scared, my child. But you don't have to be. For as I am here to protect you now.."
God came up and hugged Clay from behind. Clay tensed up from this and then, the waterworks. Though he couldn't see the face of God, feeling him was still all the same.
'I-I wanna go home~...'
He actually died.
That means he'll never get to see the faces of his family again. He assumed because of his research on immortality that he'd be able to control his emotion, but was completely wrong about that.
He was stupid enough to believe and think that, but now that he's actually experiencing it, tears like waterfalls kept leaving his face.
"My dear son,...do you perhaps...want another chance at life?"
His loud weeping died down as he wiped his face. "Whaaa...?" He dragged out while looking down. "A second chance. Do you wish to have it?" A second chance at life? Another chance to see his family again?
"Yes!"
He screamed out. "Pl-Please! I'll do anything! JuSt please, let me see them again! I-I can't be without them, I-.." God backed away and chuckled. "Clay, you are a good kid. Though fate decided to kill you, I'll bring you back to life, okay?"
The sincere God smiled. The smile was genuine and could replace the sun with how bright it was. It was that amazing and yet, "Why..?" God tilted his head.
"Why are you doing this? Why the hell would you go out of your way to bring some random human back to life? You must gain something out of this, right?"
And who's to say this was really God? Maybe it was all a dream? Right now, he's sleeping in his bed, not a care in the world. 'I know it's not true, but I can atleast think it for now...'
"Why, huh? Well, the truth is, I'm bored. Nothing can really satisfy me anymore, so I thought, 'how about I give some human a superpower to see how they use it in the real world?' Would you be a hero, A God(?), or maybe even a villain? I'm tired of being forced to see fake emotions from humans. I want to see the real you. The real creation I created."
'So he's bored and wants to see what humans are really like and not the false facade we all carry? In the end, I was just lucky, I guess..'
Clay nodded and said, "Okay, I get it. I'll be your little experiment, I guess.." God was pleased by such a answer, so much that his cheeks turned red.
"Okay, then! I've watched over you and saw that you research Immortality. Such a weird thing to do for your age. Anyways, I'll grant you something similar to that."
"Something similar...?" He thought as he finally wanted to turn around and get an even better look at the man. The man however was now gone and Clay just stood there with a confused daze. 'Yeah, maybe I really am crazy. This is all too weird to be true, hehe...'
After thinking that, a wave of drowsiness hit him, making him stumble forwards and onto his knees. 'Now I can really get some sleep. Finally~...' He smirked softly before his head hit the soft, white ground, now passed out.
God, watching this all while being invisible, frowned and thought, 'Not dying will prove to be a curse. You'll see...' He shook his head and snapped, everything disappearing including Clay.
