Chapter 28. Political

"Here I have a second stage beast core, sells at 30 bloodstones," Aurora spoke.

"31 here," a lady's voice came.

"33 here," another lady spoke. It seemed that the ladies were the ones in great need of points. They barely took these life endangering missions so it was better to trade of some bloodstones for points.

"35 here," the first lady spoke.

" Sells at 35 in the count of three, one... Two... Three. Its been decided, the rest will be sold at 35, now come get your core and offer payment," Aurora spoke and the lady came forward. The other lady who had bid at 33 also followed and bought two. In a moment all second stage had been sold out.

Everyone looked at the remaining ten third stage beast cores. The ones who were more dedicated to buy them were those of the first stage. If one of the first stage took a mission and brought a beast core of the third stage, they would receive 800 points. Those of the second stage would get 400 points. That was a lot.

"First third stage beast core, this is actually a fire affiliated core, first price is at 50," Aurora said raising the red beast core. It was larger than the rest. There was silence for a while but someone spoke up shocking everyone.

" 70," a male voice spoke. Everyone wondered who it was only to see that it was the mayor's son. He was in the first stage and he was the same one who had spoken up during the time Alaric had not carried a book. Everyone knew his intention. He was barely in need of points. He just wanted to impress Aurora.

"Sells at 70 in the..." Aurora was cut off as another male voice came.

"90," everyone looked at who had spoken. It was actually another guy who was the mayor's son from the next city. Bile City. The two were many girls' dream. The son of the Mayor of Origin city was a blonde haired guy standing at 6'1. He had brown eyes and was wearing a red male mage rob and black pants. He was also wearing black rubber shoes. His name was James. James Marquis. His father was called Damien Marquis. The other guy was 6' standing slightly shorter than James. He was the son of Mayor of Bile city. He had green hair and hazel eyes. His name was Matthew Borales. His father, Clinton Borales. Everyone knew of the history of Origin academy.

Origin academy was shared by three regions, Origin Region, Bile Region and Orange Region. These were the most powerful regions. During the creation of academies, it had been decided that the academy would be built in either of the three. The most likely regions being Bile Region. Everyone knew that Bile region was the most suitable region which was being located at the central of the three. Everyone expected it to be at the Bile Region but it was built in Origin Region. Everyone knew there was a foul play there and even the Orange region which had been content with Bile Region were not satisfied and this led to the separation of the three. When everyone saw Matthew speak up they knew that it was because of this enmity.

"Sells at 90 in the count of ..." She was cut off again. She could not help but laugh at her inside. She was loving where this was heading.

"100," a voice came up. Now everyone knew where this was heading. It was the son of the mayor of Orange city. Karl Marxe. His father Anthoney Marxe.

"Sells at 100 in the count ..." Aurora was cut off. [You may now be wondering about the identity of Aurora because not every beautiful girl need to be impressed. This is a brief summary.]

The entire continent was known as Aritze. Aritze continent was an Empire. The emperor's name was Abraham Aritze but saying his name was a taboo to anyone. The emperor was at least 200,000 years old. He had twelve sons and numerous daughters he least cared for. His twelve sons were ranked according to power. If a grandson became more powerful than either son, they would get the spot of the son. The first son was a supreme of middle stages and close to breaking through to the late stages. All sons were in the supreme stage and the first three were in the middle stages. The fourth and fifth were in the fourth stage and the rest were in the first to third stage. The fifth son was the youngest and he was coming to the top very fast. Everyone knew that he was likely to surpass all his brothers. His name was Engross Aritze. Engross Aritze was a father to five. He had two sons and three daughters. Aurora was the youngest. Aurora Aritze. This was to mean Alaric was in danger of execution if Aurora had decided to take action.

Being a princess meant being kept like a treasure to be used to increase one's power. She had come to get two male friends and this was a great breakthrough for a princess because very few men would ever dare approach her due to fear of her identity. The three guys were from a slightly small background but that did not mean that their families would not like to increase their power. A great pawn was standing infront of them. The best thing they could do for their fathers was making Aurora marry one of them. It seemed that her father would become a sovereign and also become the future emperor. They needed to make a connection one day through a marriage alliance. This was going to be their first time trying to impress her. Whoever bought it the highest would win. It was already a competition even without anyone telling them to.

"I will buy all ten at 2 origin stones," James spoke and prople almost choked. That was a huge amount not many had with them. But that was to be expected as mayors son.

" What about 3," Karl said. Everyone who needed these third stage just gave up. They could only afford at most two origin stones. Even if they could afford, they could not try to enter. It was already a political competition.

" How about 4?" Matthew voiced out. The three had already stepped forward for everyone to see. Alaric and Rey had their jaws dropped. Origin stones?!

"10 here," everyone almost gorged their eyes out. What was happening? Was it even possible? Everyone made way for the guy marching forward. How was that possible? Their idols were all making their way forward. The guy who came forward was also from a powerful background. They knew a chance like this never came twice. They had to impress her infront of the crowd.

This guy was Zeddy Barnabas. Son of Tobby Barnabas. Tobby Barnabas was the mayor of Crypto city of the Crypto Region. Crypto city was a trade city. It was fit to say that it was the backbone of the economy of Aritze Empire. It was now four in war. Who was going to win though? The price had charged up high that everyone gave up immediately.

"20," James spoke. Well, shocked was not the word to describe the crowd. Exasperated.

"30," Karl said.

"40," Matthew said.

"50," Zeddy said. There was a slight pause there.

" 100," Matthew said. Pin drop silence. Everyone needed a chance to breath. Was that not too much?

"Sells at..."

"200," Zeddy said. Did they have that amount with them? That was just too much.

"Sells at 200 in the count of three, ..."

" 500," a new voice came.

Whoever spoke was probably a big shot. The others were probably not going to bid anymore. The guy appeared but no one was able to place him. He hade violet hair and eyes. They had not seen him before. The three looked at the new comer. Losing to a no name person was not in their place. They were going to fight to the end and win her favour. No one saw the change in expression of Aurora when she saw him. The guy winked at her and no one missed her looking away. When the four saw what happened they all spoke at one.

"1000," when everyone heard this, they stepped backwards. Even the guy just left with a big smile on his face like his goal had been achieved.

"Sold," Aurora spoke and the four were shocked. That amount meant they each had to pay 250 origin stones.

"But..." They all spoke unconsciously. Some started giggling and no one missed the smile on Aurora and the two guys behind them. Even if one was handsome, they were not hailed without background. The two could actually be said to be handsome than the four but the fourth guy seemed to surpass them all only losing to the guy with black hair and green eyes. His smile was the brightest.

"Do you all want to go against your words infront of all these people? What kind of nobles are you? It could be a shame..." Aurora spoke and this further increased the giggles from behind them. They all had a storage ring on their pinkies. When the four heard her words, they felt motivated. She was giving them a chance to prove themselves! They instantly rubbed their rings and from each came 250 origin stones. Those who had laughed blushed in shame. Could their parents provide them with such amount? And here they were laughing. They appeared as idiots. No one noted the two figures who had their tongues out like a dog that had seen meat. They both jumped and swam on the bloodstones. One with reddish black hair was even kissing them. No one noted the smile on Aurora when she saw their reaction. She came with the beast cores and gave three to each. Alaric removed two from his pocket and added them to Zeddy who had gotten one.

Aurora walked to Alaric who had sat up. She squatted and reached his level. He pinched her cheeks as he spoke animatedly.

"Our beautiful love Aurora. What would we do without you. Our small brains barely reach half of yours," Alaric continued but all she did was to smile as she slapped his hands away.

" We love you Aurora," Rey came forward and did the same. It was not that the two did not know what they were doing. They worked in sync and knew each other to the bone. There was no need to speak for them to understand each other. The four were all burning in rage. Were they just flirting with her infront of them? Were they part of her harem. That was not possible. Aurora flashed her ring and the stones disappeared. She had also understood what they were doing and she rubbed their hair as she stood up. She then took their hands and intertwined them at the elbows and walked away. Everyone stood in daze trying to understand what had happened.
