22: Namjoon

"Where's Zoey?" I asked Jimin as he entered the dining room without her hand in his. It's unnerving to say the least. Late last night, Jin-hyung filled me in about everything that's been happening in the last few days, and how he's helping her to save Jimin's life. He told me how she's simply not standing for it. Apparently she don't want to take humanities last bit of hope away by allowing the rainbow to vanish from their existence. He sat down with a heavy sigh and everyone looked at him in concern. "She seems rather tired today," he informed us. "Can I trust that you'll feed her when she exiles, Jin-hyung?" Jimin concludes. "I'm sure Monie will take good care of her. He and Jk will be staying behind today. We'll be back home in plenty of time to prepare dinner," Jin informed him casually. Jimin's eyes questioned the question that his vocals betrayed to do. "Only today and tomorrow. There's no errands to run in the days after tomorrow. You can spend as much time with her as you like then," Jin answered his unasked question. He shifted his eyes in my direction. "Don't worry, I'll make sure that she eats something," I said as I readied a plate for her. He nodded in approval. I can't really blame her, she's probably hiding in her room. This must be getting to her.

About an hour after they've left, she shuffled into the kitchen. I were busy cleaning the dishes. She pulled out a barstool and sat down on it. "Good morning. How are you feeling?" I asked but she didn't reply. I turned around and stared into her shocked expression. Guess Jin-hyung hadn't informed her about the day's change of plans. "Sorry, we haven't really acknowledged each other, had we? Call me Monie," I told her with a wide smile. "O... kay! Good morning Monie. Where's Jin?" As I expected. "He left me in charge after filling me in. Jin-hyung has a kind soul, but I guess that you already know that. He's taking your comfort in consideration, by making it as homely as possible," I stated as I put a plate and a glass of juice down in front of her. She thanked me with a broad smile. As soon as she finished, I took her dishes and cleaned it up. She caught me completely off guard with her act of kindness. She wrapped her arms around me and gave me a tight embrace. I'm completely bedazzled. "Seeing how it's going to happen one way or another, I thought it's best to get it over with," she said. A smile visible in her voice. I looked down at her comfortably form. She pulled away after a few seconds and sprinted away joyously. "See you later Monie. I'm going for a walk," she greeted. Leaving me behind speechless. Bewildered. My heart is melting.
