The old man

After killing the overgrown chicken, I decided to have a look around the huge environment.

If I'm being honest, it looked like the usual interpretation of Hell, full of fire. There was so much ash in the air I was constantly on the verge of suffocating, which wasn't very nice. I could see giant creatures moving in the distance that were as big and as wide as a mountain. Then again it may just have been mountains that I saw, oh well. There were tons of volcanoes as well and they were all active, I don't know how life has survived here.

My thoughts were interrupted when a flash of pain coursed through my body as my back was ripped open. Screaming out in pain, I turned to face the perpetrator and saw that it was a colossal shape of pure darkness and fire. It's sharp claws reflected the red fire on its back making it look terrifying. If I'm to estimate, I reckon it was about 5 times as large as me which wasn't great. I quickly used [Inspect] on it

How on earth is that a cub?! It's massive! If that's a cub then maybe the moving mountain I saw, was really a creature. That would be bad.

There is no way I can beat this monstrous beast, so I did the bravest thing. I ran

With no forest to hide in due to the fire everywhere, I ran towards the closest mountain to me. Even with my enhanced legs full of muscles, I was still only slightly faster than the massive monster chasing me. Even though I was running as fast as I could, the tiger cub looked like it was just playing with me and was jogging. That was not good.

As I neared the huge mountain, that now that I look at it, it is a volcano, I saw a small cave that would be way to big for the tiger cub to get in.

"Yes! I won't have to die today" I shouted to the tiger cub with a smile on my face. As I got closer to the cave, a slight chill passed through me but I needed safety, so I disregarded it. That may have been a mistake, because the closer I got the colder it got, eventually the tiger cub got serious and started chasing me at full speed.

With only a hundred metres till the cave, I picked up a rock and kept running. Just as I was about to enter, the tiger cub leapt, but I was ready. I saw it's shadow on the wall of the volcano, turned and pelted the rock at its face with all my strength. Thankfully, it went straight into the tiger cub's eye and stopped it in its track. I had made it into the cave.

For some reason, as soon as I entered the cave, the cold vanished and was replaced with a pleasant warmth. Deciding to explore the cave, I started to walk down it. After walking for about 50 metres, I found an old man just sitting on the ground.

"Um hello there, I'm luk- I'm Izroth" I said with a gentle smile on my face. As I continued to look at the man, I saw that he had a large metal chain attaching him to the wall and was extremely disheveled. He had large horns sprouting out of his head and red skin like mine, he also had sharp claws on the end of his fingers and snow white hair.

"Finally" the old man said with a manic smile on his face.

"I can leave", all of a sudden a spectral ghost of the man rushed towards and entered me.

"Hahaha I will take over your body and be free of the shackles those old demons put on me"

I could hear him say from within me.

"AAAHHHHHH!" I suddenly felt pain like no other as my head felt like it had been split open. In my other fights, the adrenaline stopped my wounds from hurting. But now the worst pain had overcome me, but I wasn't allowed to faint from the pain, something in the system stopped me.

With great pain, I could feel my bones and skin stretching, small horns pierced the top of my head. My fangs seemed to grow as well as my claws and it felt as if they were all being ripped out. But that contributed the smallest amount of pain, the pain from my head was much worse. I gripped my head in agony as my brain was forced to hold all the old mans memories.

I don't know how long I was curled up on the ground screaming, but it had finished.
