CHAPTER 5:THE FORBIDDEN CHAMBER.

Luckily for Rius, a year has went by ever since that accident. His life was still as peaceful as before. Except for the occasional cries of a baby resounding in the entire palace from time to time, all was fine.

"Uwaaaahhh..." Their youngest family memeber was hungry again. Her cries were heard as Rimilia was already next to her cradle. Picking up her baby daughter she fed her. "There There. Drink it slowly." Rimilia smiled staring at her little baby. She was so small and tiny. Her rainbow shades were darker than theirs. Her vessel was quite strong although it wasn't as overwhelming as Rius's own vessel.

"Waaawaaauaa....." Once she was done she turned away her little head as if implying that she has had enough milk.

Rimilia chuckled to herself. Her baby daughter was blowing her cheeks as if she were pouting. For a baby her reactions were quite intriguing.

"What is is, Risha? Did you not like it?" She pat her baby's back, trying to please her.

"Uwu!" Small toebean size fingers tapped Rimilia's cheek. The baby made a face as if she was annoyed.

"Okay okay. Mommy will put you down." She laughed as she placed her back in cradle. Rimilia noticed how her daughter let out a sigh of relief. Her facial gestures reminded Rimilia of Rius. When Rius was a baby, he would make gestures as if telling them to put him down or pick him up at his own demand.

If it were someone maybe they would find it peculiar but Rimilia was blinded by a mother's love. For her, her children were normal.

She rocked the cradle to try and put Risha back to sleep.

"She doesn't want to go back to sleep." Rius, who has just entered the room could tell that the baby was annoyed. From her facial expression to the look in her eyes, he could read Risha's face.

"Mom. How about we take her outside?" He suggested. The moment he mentioned going outside Risha turned her head towards them, her eyes begging them to pick her up. It was as if she understood them.

"...." Why did this feel like deja vu? Rimilia thought to herself. Both Rius and Risha were so much alike. The baby raised one of her hand, her index finger pointing towards Rimilia.

"..." Our Risha is definitely not normal. Rius thought to himself. She might be just like him, an adult reborn in the body of a baby. Did the god play with him when he said that his wish for a younger sister would be granted with time?

Well... "I hope the answer will come with time." He decided to not think about it for now.

The three pair of mother and children went out for a brisk walk. Risha perked up her neck towards the view of the amusement park, staring intently at it. The gold surrounding them didn't seem to interest her at all. Rius carefully observed his baby sister's reactions.

His eyes drooped for a second before he decided to ignore it for now.

Currently Father and his three older brothers were away from the island. Rius didn't knew where they went off to and nor did he wanted to know for now. If it was something that he should know, his family will tell him beforehand. Thanks to them being away he had discovered a secret chamber hidden inside the palace.

A mysterious chamber sealed off by multiple ancient spells.

Out of curiousity Rius had unlocked the spells. What he found inside was a secret room attached to a Library. He could tell that this was a forbidden room where he wasn't supposed to be. At first he was about to rummage around and explore the pile of books kept on the book shelves but after pondering about it for a bit he decided to ask for his parent's approval first.

So he has been trying to find an opportunity but because mother was easily irritated these days he was looking for the right time when his mother's mood would be the best.

Luckily after waiting and waiting the moment has finally arrived. Rius sighed in relief as he watched Rimilia humm lightly, with a bright smile attached to her beautiful face as she put sleeping Risha back into cradle. The baby has fallen asleep while they were on their way back to the palace. Even when she was placed into the cradle her eyes remained closed, not a single eye lash fluttering as her sleep deepened.

Once Mother and Rius left he brew her favourite tea for her. Then he sat down on the chair next to her.

Rimilia could tell. That her son was trying to win her favour. Surely he must desire something again. The last time he did this, he asked her if he could swim in the ocean. At that time Rius was only 4 so she refused telling him that he could try it next year. Occasionally Rius would now visit the ocean spending hours as he explored the sea.

"What is it this time?"

Rius jolted at her question. So she knows that I want something? He thought to himself. Rius then worked on his charm. His gaze turned from earnest to sweet as he fluttered his eyelashes twice. "Mom!" He exclaimed with blushing cheeks. "A few weeks ago I accidentally wandered into a secret room."

"Rius, that's the forbidden chamber."

"I didn't know." Rius replied in an innocent voice. Before mother could ask again he added hurriedly. "I didn't touch anything, mom. But I saw that room was full of reading material..."

Rimilia raised her brow at him. Now she knew what her darling son was up to.

With Shimmering eyes, looking so pitiful he finally made his request. "Can't I mommy?"

"....." Rius you are only five. That forbidden chamber is not for you to enter at your age. She thought to herself.

"Can't I mommy?" He looked at her with pleading eyes, squeezing both of his tiny hands together.

Rimilia sighed looking at her son's pleading eyes. Whenever he made this face it was hard for her to turn him down. Rius was extremely adorable. He had lovely soft cheeks that were tinted with a baby pink blush. His eyes were fanned by thick lashes. His skin was fair and shiny with wavy hair falling upto his shoulders. He was so adorable that he could be mistaken for a girl very easily.

"Ugh....." Rasheed, I think it wasn't you but me who should be careful not to spoil Rius in the future.

"Rius, that room is forbidden until you are eight."

Rius poured another cup of tea for his mother as he tried to persuade her. "Forbidden until Eight? Mommy.....but I am five already. Am I still not allowed?"

His eyes looked so pitifully lovely.

Ugh....my heart. "No. Rius. When you are of appropriate age you can enter the forbidden chamber anytime. But until then, you can't." Rimilia held back the urge to say yes as she repeated herself. She noticed the shine of excitement in his eyes drop down.

Rius was a bit disappointed. "Okay I understand." Thinking about it maybe he will sneak ins.... No. He shouldn't do that. Waiting until he turns eight wasn't that hard. So maybe he will wait for the time when he is allowed to enter and exit the chamber.

"....." Rimilia had to admit that this child's nature was very well mannered. He wasn't stubborn to the point of giving her a headache. Rahad and Raputa were quite hotheaded when compared to Rius. She took a sip of the tea. Seeing her son's disappointed face she couldn't help but want to cheer him up.

Rius saw his mother stand up. Then he heard her say "Come with me."

Rius was about to get down from the chair but before he could do so he was already embraced by his mother. She still carried him around like a baby. Lying obediently in his mother's arm he realised that they were entering another secret room.

"For now, you shall familiarise yourself with these first." Saying this Rimilia let down her darling son.

"Uwaaahhh!!" Rius exclaimed. His eyes were literally shooting out stars of happiness. The room he was in right now was filled with books. Hundreds and hundreds of books.

"MOMMYYYYYY!" Rius shouted happily.

Revealing a charming smile, he exclaimed loudly, pulling at his mother's clothes.

"THANK YOU MOMMY."

THUMP.

Rimilia's eyes widened a bit. She was charmed by her son's bright smile which was making her heartbeat squeeze. She chuckled at his reaction. Patting him on the head she replied in an indulging voice. "You are welcome dear."

While the Mother and Son duo was busy basking in joy, Risha's eyes flung wide open. She looked around to check if she was alone.

I can't believe I am still alive!!??!! She thought to herself.

She huffed and puffed to try and move her body but she was still a baby. After sometime she gave up. Looking at her own hands she sighed again.

I should be dead, shouldn't I?!?!
