This thing seemed to be in a deep slumber. The massive suckers on its tentacles were covered with shining growths, twinkling as if they were alive and breathing.
What made Chen Jingzhai sharpen his eyes was the fact that beneath this giant octopus creature, there was an entrance to a dark cave, about half of a man's height.
The tentacles of the octopus were unable to reach into it, so all it could do was lean against the mouth of the cave.
