Estranged

I woke up the following day, I was so tired from crying all night that you could see the dried-up tears on the pillow and on my cheeks. I hurried to go take a quick shower, so I could have time for breakfast. After getting dress, I walked downstairs to toast some bread and pour a glass of orange juice for breakfast. I didn't want anything heavy since I wasn't really hungry, and I had a test. As I ate my food, it felt really lonely not having my mother. On the other hand, I knew that this living arrangement wasn't going to be for long. After, I cleaned up the table and grabbed my bag to head to school.

At school, it was weird not to see Jo Woon waiting for me outside the front of the school for me. However, Rose and Do Yoon were the one waiting for me instead. Even though, I'm not happy with the sudden change, I tried to make do with it. Rose and Do Yoon had acuminated me by walking to class with me. Me and Rose were busy chatting about how the test was definitely going to be difficult. I had asked her if she had studied since I barely had time to because of my personal situation which she understood. Of Course, Rose replied by saying that she didn't study either since she had spent most of the with her boyfriend. We both laughed at the fact that we probably were going to fail the test. After school, we both came to the agreement that were going to visit Do Yoon dad's restaurant for a celebration. We were almost in the middle of the semester, so that was something to celebrate. Me and Rose entered our class while Do Yoon left for his culinary class which he too had a test. Me and Rose both sat down beside each other while the professor was handing out the test and put the timer on for us to start.

After the test, all of the students turned in their test and returned to their seat. I was so happy that the test was finally done as I stretched from my seat. Me and Rose tightly hugged each other in support that maybe we actually did good. After everyone finally turned in their test, he assigned us homework for the next module, and we must read over the following chapter as well. The class let out a huge sigh as he wrote the following assignments on the board. I'm pretty sure that many including me, and Rose thought that were going to get a little break - but no. After class, I had to quickly head to my economic class since we were having a meeting. While walking, my eye's got both A-yeong and Jo Woon together hand in hand. At this point, they weren't even trying to be discrete about it and it made my heartache again. However, I tried not to make it bother me, so I began to turn away heading to my class as Jo Woon took a quick glance at me leaving.

In economici's class, our teacher announced that we were going to have a new student. All the students became interested in the news since our class was pretty empty with not many students. Some were even hopping that it would be a girl, and some were saying it could possibly be a boy. I didn't care unless they were a good student and could add something to the class. Not many students took economics since it was one of the uninteresting majors to learn and most even skipped especially those majoring in business. After the announcement, the professor tried to gather people's attention by slapping the board with a measuring stick. She later announced that there were rules for how were supposed to conduct ourselves around the new student. However, I felt weirded out by her statement because this person sounded special or something. For a moment, I thought maybe the new student was probably her son since it wasn't abnormal for a professor to have their kids enroll into their class. So, I didn't think much about this sudden announcement of having a new student.

After class, Rose and her boyfriend met me outside the classroom as usual. We were getting ready to head over to Do Yoon dad's restaurant to go and celebrate. As were walking, Jo Woon had caught up with us as he caught our attention specially my attention. Of course, I tried to see if A-yeong was near since they have been bound to each other for the past few days. However, he reassured us that she was nowhere in sight since she had to stay afterschool to practice, and she had personal business to attend to. I wasn't pleased to hear the explanation since that didn't fix the fact that he has been messing around with her behind my back and the lack of communication.

"Jo Woon, why are you here?" I asked

"I wanted to speak to you about something important." he stated

"Oh! Like the fact that you and A-yeong are dating? Or...the fact that you're going to break up with me?" I questioned

*Gasp* "How did you know?" he asked

"Maybe, A-yeong told me." I answered

"Why would she do that?" he asked

"Because she wants you to break up with me so she could officially be your girlfriend." I answered

"Yeah, she did discuss that with me, but I was unaware that she told you in advance." he said

"It's fine, I'll just go with the initial plan." I said unbothered

"What?" he said confused

"The breakup!" I spoke

"Are you serious? You seriously want me to break up with you?" he asked

"Yeah!" I replied

"Why?" he asked

"You've the nerves to ask me "why", when you were out here messing with another girl and ignoring me. Besides, A-yeong and you were holding hands in the hallway when I was getting ready to head to my economic class. And you didn't bother to wait outside the school like you normally do as I felt lonely. Not to mention, I'm not a part of your world anymore as you don't even include me in things." I explained

"Mina, I understand how you feel. But you never understand how I feel like how it could have been to overhear you and Rose talking about me not making it in the industry. All you care about is yourself!" he said

"I only care about myself?! I've supported you but you were the one who pushed me away. Moreover, I have things that I'm personally dealing with, my mother's health, school, and my father's passing. Where were you? Huh!" I said crying

"I'm Sorry!" he said holding me in his arm

"I forgive you." I said wiping my tears

"Can we just act like this didn't happen?" he asked

"No, we are done." I replied

"But you said-"

"I know, but you are much better with being with someone else that you love. I just don't think we are right for each other, so it would be best for us to just move on." I spoke

"Is this about A-yeong?" he asked

"Enough! Yes! This is about her, you confined in her about our problems instead of discussing it with me. And you were with her instead of confronting me about the problems, which made me feel that you truly want to be with her. She can be a good girlfriend to you that I could never be since she likes you and supports you. Again, we should just move on since the damage has been done." I explained

As I explained myself to him, he just stood there in silence as the tears rolled back down my cheeks. As he stood there, this was my signal to just move on and walk away. There wasn't anything more to say as I vented everything out. As I walked to meet up with Rose and her boyfriend, a part of me was happy but another was sad in sorrow. On the other hand, I knew that I made the right choice because our relationship wouldn't have gone far if I had taken him back. Besides, I would've been really insecure more than I'm already with knowing that A-yeong likes him. Furthermore, I didn't know what other things he was keeping from me either.

In Do Yoon dad's restaurant, Rose and Do Yoon were already seated and eating. As I sat across from Rose, a tear drop fell from my cheeks before I began to let out all the tears. They both came over to me to comfort me as they grabbed tissues to wipe my face. It felt really nice to have friends who really cared about you. Do Yoon grabbed a glass a water and sat it in front of me to drink from all the crying. Of course, they wanted to know about me and Jo Woon's encounter, yet they knew what the outcome was. I didn't really have to go into many details considering I was really straight up about my feelings. They were both satisfy with the outcome as long as I was happy and content with it. Which I was happy since I could just focus on school and my mother. Me, Rose, and her boyfriend ate as much as we wanted and drank until closing. After we were straight drunk, Rose and Do Yoon had sent me a cab since I couldn't walk by myself drunk.

While I was walking the rest of the way home, I wasn't feeling well as my body started feeling hot. I was trying to cool my body by fanning it with my hands, but it wasn't working. I almost felt my body fumble to the floor until I felt something hot against my body. I glanced up and it was man who I didn't recognize. But I knew I had seen him from somewhere because he was wearing black ripped jeans, shirt and a mask on his face. He smelled really good as a laid against his hard chest as I felt something getting ready to come up. Before I knew it, I pushed him out of the way as I threw up in the bushes and he came closer patting me on the back. He escorted me to my house before leaving me.

I was so drunk that I couldn't even change my clothes nor get me something to drink. So, I just threw myself on the bed and took a pain pill so I wouldn't have a headache in the morning. My phone began vibrating and it was none other than Jo Woon. I could barely read his text, so I had just cleared my notification. I put my phone on the charger, turned off the lights and went to bed.
