I Became a System

[A/N: While I upload chapters, I encountered some glitches, so some parts may have swapped that I didn't notice. However, if there are some like flashbacks, or prior to that time but only showed later, it is not about the glitch. So, if you ever reach the latest part, you can criticize me all you want... I know I did a bad job that's why I am going to put the whole story in editing with the errors I mentioned.] Aaron was just a normal human being who liked to read books. But apparently, he died by being buried in a mountain of books he had read. He became a system, rune, and power of Ellena, a "cursed child" who was mistreated by the people around her because of the belief that black hairs are cursed. At the age of 15, she was cast out of the family, and just as fate told her it wouldn't be easy, she was captured and turned into a slave. At that time, Aaron was still not activated. In this world, people have abilities that can be obtianed by activating runes on the back of their right hands. However, Aaron wasn't activated even after Ellena's 15 years of living. It was just that some condition was needed for the special power within the rune to be activated. When Aaron was activated, it was already when Ellena suffered the most. Together, they survived the suffering, and Ellena acquired her own ability, with the help of her system, the special power behind her rune. Ellena attained her own personality, but it was something different despite being mistreated for years. She became soft and justful. Perhaps of the longing for protection she was searching for, she was ready to give it to others. It was also connected to her destiny that Aaron diligently assessed for years, until it finally happened. "There were mysteries in this world. The fight between dimensional chaos and those who plunder different dimensions is now affecting mortals. I ask you, Aaron, to become one of us if you want to help Ellena." 'Ellena was supposed to save the world. And I was something special that 'they' were longing to find.' With the passage of time, Aaron started to learn his true self, the real form of his soul that he didn't expect to discover. *** Volume 1: Fear System [Completed] Volume 2: Blessing and Third-Generation Group [Completed] Volume 3: Alias Noelle [Completed] Volume 4: Companions [Completed] Volume 5: Sin of Greed (On-going) *** This isn't a boring story. Read it and enjoy or drop it if not. Also if you ever wanted to leave a review, be sure to read half of the first volume. You aren't leaving a review for the first chapter but for the book. --- [Image, not mine, I just edited it and used it as my cover. If you are the owner, I can take it down immediately.]

Stupid Encounter

The people inside the diner were looking at Ellena's company. They made a scene inside the diner which made the guards move.

One of the guards was a bulky man. He approached the bastard to interfere with the situation. At first, he looked at Ellena then went back to the bastard.

"Sir, may I know what is the problem?"

Although, being only one the bastard was still confident. I think he thought that now that the guard is here, he can oppress them more.

"Amber, why can't we use the perks?" Irritated, Ellena asked a question to keep her composure.

Amber, on the other hand, was just worried. I know what she was thinking. Not all the time, being a noble is good. Nobles have territory involvement, so there are fractions or mini-fractions created in shadows.

Now that Amber said that they don't have any connection in this city, I think Ellena should try to be calm. Even I hate the fact that this bastard just punched Isabella, I have to resist the anger so that Ellena won't get fueled by my feelings.

"Ellena, not all the time we have the advantage. Right now, we have no connection and information."

Ellena just hissed. She retracted her anger a little to help them in this situation.

The bastard stood up in confidence before speaking, "This bitch right here, dare to oppose me. Get her out of here. She's a filthy commoner."

The guard just looked eagerly at the face of the bastard. Even the guard has strong glaring eyes, the bastard just stayed confident. But it was stopped when the guard speaks once more.

"I'm sorry, Sir. But I need you to get out of the premises. They are our VIP's so please refrain from making a scene here."

The bastard's eyes widened. Being surprised by the outcome, he couldn't believe that these girls who wore average clothes are VIPs. Although I can understand the guard's concern, he is thinking of being neutral as much as possible.

"I can't believe you. I'm a noble, and they are commoners! How can even they have a VIP room? There must be some misunderstanding. I am the one who's being oppressed right now!"

Bruh... I can't believe this arrogant bastard. Even I think that he can clean this mess, he is just being too stupid. Are his parents just feed him with spoiling? I don't know, but this is just too stupid.

Sighs... My perspective is really getting too narrow. It's better that we're starting to live in this place, and I know that this can't be even compared to the world's image.

Despite these, there's still some anticipation within my insides. Now that Ellena is starting to widen her horizon, it's not too soon for me to also experience the world.

"I'm sorry, Sir. They really are our VIP, I was present when they checked in."

Still doubting, the bastard looked at Ellena's company once again.

"I don't believe you. Get the manager here!"

"I don't accept orders from non-clients. Are you a client, Sir?"

The bastard flinched at those words. He is not a client obviously. His eyes are starting to have a sign of nervousness. I think it's safe to move now.

"Ellena, try to get some pointers from him," I suggested to Ellena. After she heard it, she whispered to Amber to have the crest.

Ellena gets the crest from Amber. She showed it to the guard for confirmation of identity then faced the bastard.

"Which family are you from?" She asked.

"Why? You're not even a noble."

"Sad to say, you don't know me. So which family are you from?"

Keeping her intimidating expression, Ellena confronted the bastard. Thinking about it, I know Ellena's plan.

This really is important for her. Even with how much she despises nobles, Ellena can't change the fact that she needs to live in that world. More or less, be a hypocrite at times.

It is not 100 percent sure that you can manage things with just abilities, backings are also important, even in the corners of the world. If you don't have the reputation or backing, even if you are smart, there's nothing you can do when you face a mountain.

She was provoking the bastard to tell his family name to make him nervous about it. Not showing him and telling her real identity made the situation more unclear for him.

First, their clothes look average but the guard told him that they are VIPs, so technically, he considered that these girls have a high background that he should not underestimate.

I really don't know what is going on with the bastard's head, but I can tell that he is being cautious. I think I should take back the stupid word that I described to him. He is more arrogant than stupid. Well, being arrogant is stupid but never mind. I have my own perspective in every situation,

"I-I am from the Ilgan Family. What do you want?"

The tide is starting to get in favor of us. Now that his mind is messed up, we can collect points easily. I hope that it's at least two or three.

"See this? You just offended one of us." Showing the crest bordered with gold, the bastard widened his eyes in shock.

Seconds later, a point emerged from his head. "I-I am sorry. I was just trying to be like a noble."

I was almost petrified of it. That's something too useless, even a stupid reason that I heard.

Wow... What a reason. That was a noble? I guess I have lied to for my whole life. I am wrong from the beginning! A noble should be arrogant that punches every people they bump to?!

Okay, stop with the sarcasm. It's obvious that I'm getting crazier in my thoughts.

"What do you mean? Even with that reason, I won't forgive you."

The arrogant bastard's face started to get calm. His squinted eyebrows started to get lowered and his personality changed quickly.

"I am really sorry if I punched you. I was just... trying to copy what the other nobles do. I want to be called a noble too."

Now... That wasn't being a noble.

I noticed that the bastard from earlier which I will call right now a boy because of his new personality started to become scared of Ellena. A point emerged from his head.

"That's not being a noble. You're just arrogant." Amber said.

Diana at the back who was just worried about the situation supported Amber's words. "Yes, being a noble doesn't mean to become rude."

"You should apologize to Isabella," Ellena said in a furious tone.

I think Ellena is starting to understand this guy. I mean, it doesn't mean that I believe him, but still, we can't let the situation go further.

"I'm sorry." He bowed.

That was fast. I mean, did this guy is the kind of person that is bipolar? I don't mean the disorder.

"I understand. I'm also sorry for bumping you."

Did my brain just get stupider? I think the pace of changing the boy's personality became too fast.

"But don't think that you'll be forgiven that easy."

Then a fist hit the face of the problematic boy, pushing him backward then hit his butt on the ground. And that fist came from Ellena.
