Ch 15 Jealousy

It's been a month since we have returned to capital. Alaric and I had been meeting secretly. Sometimes, I sneaked out at night to meet him and sometimes, he would sneak into my room to meet me. We talked , danced and sang together in our meetings. I told him so many things about me but still so much more was left. I had many questions in my heart. Sometimes, we would just gaze at each other for hours. Eyes did all the talking. 

Amy was suspicious that my secret lover was someone from palace. She had been asking more questions lately. I didn't tell nanny about him in my letter. I just told her that I was happy and found what I wanted for my life. Winters were on their way to knock here.

Amy told me I was changing. When I asked her how. She told me I was waking up early in the morning. I was distracted most of the times . Lost in my own world. She told me I was more aware of how I looked? 

She was right. I wanted to look preety for Alaric. She asked me," Why did you want to look preety for him?"

" When you are being touched, you care about how you look." I told her. 

But, she didn't understand what I meant to say. 

"Where have you gone?" She asked me waving a hand in front of me .

" Nothing." I told her. 

I was sitting in the greenhouse with princess Akshita. We became friends after meeting frequently. She moved to central palace because she was crown Princess. 

" I was telling you Balder gave me a present the other day and you won't believe what he gave me?" She said. 

" What?" I asked.

She was telling me about Crown prince Balder.

" He gave me a fountain pen." She said while sighing. 

" Fountain pen." I parroted.

" Yeah, on our first anniversary. It was unbelievable. How can he be so indifferent? I thought he would give me red roses and will take me on a date." She said while pouting. 

" Then, what did you do?" I asked. 

" I was so angry and told him to leave but" Suddenly, blush creeped her cheeks. This was something amazing. 

" But..." I asked her while smiling like a Cheshire cat. 

" But, he knows how to persuade me." She said. 

" How?" I asked. 

"I.....I am not going to tell you." She said and started running from there. She was being shy. I wanted to tease her more. 

" Tell me." I shouted with a little chukle. I ran after her. 

" No....." 

" That's not fair. Complete the story. " I shouted. 

I ran after her into palace. I saw crown prince passing by. 

" Then, I am going to ask crown prince." I shouted.

She stopped into her step and was looking pale. She looked at crown prince and then at me. She knew what I was going to do? 

" Your highness."

I shouted and crown prince stopped in his track. He spotted me and smiled at me. I walked to him and greeted him. I saw Akshita running towards us. She was flustered. I could see veins pumping in her neck. I winked at her and turned to crown prince.

" Your highness, Akshita told me that you did...." I was interrupted by a hand on my mouth. 

Crown Princes was stunned by her action. 

"She is saying nothing...you can go.." She told him.

He was looking at me and her confused by our actions.

" She was saying something. Let her speak." He said.

I removed her hand from my mouth and said," Yeah, it's not wise. Princess Akshita. Let me speak." 

She eyed me and I said," Crown prince, princess Akshita told me that..." 

" What's the ruckus?" A third voice came. 

I turned around to see Alaric coming this way. His playful signature smirk lighting his face. His platinum blonde were styled up. 

He came towards us and asked," What are you talking about?" 

" Princess Madeleine was going to say something to me." Crown prince told him.

My thoughts were scattered on seeing him. Alaric turned towards me and said," Really then, let me hear it as well." 

" I.....I.....w..was." I stuttered.

" Nothing, she wasn't saying anything." Akshita said eyeing me.

" Yeah, I forgot." I said. 

Crown prince looked at both of us and turned to Alaric. 

" I was coming to you." He said. 

" Why?" He asked.

" Daughter of Duke Ashford is returning from her vacation." He said. 

" Really, elder brother....."He exclaimed and lighted like the sun on a sunny day. 

" Yeah, she will be returning tomorrow morning." He said while smiling. 

" You made my day.....I am so happy." He shouted in pleasure and ran from there without noticing me. 

Balder chucked at him.

" Why is he so happy?" Akshita asked.

"Camilla Ashford daughter of Duke ashford was his playmate since childhood. They were inseparable as children. She is returning after a year. She went without him knowing and just sent a letter afterwards." He described. 

" Excuse me." I excused myself and went after Alaric. 

Why was he so happy? He didn't even saw me when crown prince talked about that girl. He was so excited like butterfly for a flower. 

He was so excited to see her. Literally, ran away bouncing like a bunny. I got a weird and said taste in my mouth like I smelt a rotten piece of meat. 

I saw Alaric chatting with maids. He was laughing with them. I was already burning with jealousy and those sound of laughters were fueling them. He was mine, only mine. 

I walked towards them with heavy steps. I took each step keenly. I was predator and those maids were my prey. 

They stopped laughing on seeing me approaching them. 

Those maids excused themselves and Alaric didn't even look at me. He kept looking at sky and smiling on something. He was walking without looking forward. 

He looked like he was remembering some good memories. Memories with that girl. 

" Alaric..." I shouted. 

 But he didn't hear. I didn't call him after that. I feared someone could hear me. I decided to go back for now. 

I was walking down the corridor when I heard some maids talking. 

" ....that rumor." First maid said. 

They were talking about rumours. I was going to walk away but stopped in my track when I heard name of Alaric. 

".....Yeah prince Alaric." second maid whispered.

" Prince Alaric has a secret lover." First maid whispered. 

My heart palpitations increased on hearing them. Did they know? 

" I heard that someone saw him sneaking out at midnight." Second maid whispered.

"I also heard that he was seen with a girl." First maid said. 

I was happy that they knew he wasn't single anymore. 

" Daughter of Duke is coming back." Second maid said. 

" So , what are you trying to say?" First maid asked. 

" Maybe the secret lady is Lady Camilla." 

" Yeah...you are right." Second maid agreed. 

I wanted to shout out to let the world know that I was his lover. Everyone was taking about Camilla Ashford. How special she was? 

I walked out of there. I was so angry and upset. He was ignoring me and only thinking about that girl. 

I went into my room and searched for ways to make him think only of me. He was young and there was high possibility he could get attracted to that girl easily and he already knew her so well.

I was looking around in my room and saw a book. Yeah, this was my ultimate weapon.

This book was a R-rated romance novel.The female lead in this book seduced the male lead to love her. I grabbed the book and sat on couch to read it. I opened the book to read. Female lead was wearing a reaveling gown and below her were written-

4.Touch him a bit....

6.Appeal to his erogenous zones.....and blah blah .....

I red that book for two hours. I literally, sucked the contents and I was ready. He won't know what will strike him? 

Amy eyed me weirdly when I laughed loudly. It was now becoming daily occurence so, she ignored me. But, I wasn't going to ignore him. I was ready to fight.
