Chapter 42:The Moon’s Awakening

Jason stood at the helm of his ship, the wind rustling his white hair as the golden gleam of his eyes scanned the horizon. Law and his loyal companion, Bepo, stood nearby, adjusting to the idea of joining Jason's crew. After making his offer to Law, it was time to move forward. But first, Jason had another plan—one involving Bepo.

Jason had recently discovered a treasure in his treasury: an island filled with beasts and 5 billion beli worth of treasure. The island, about a month's journey from Swallow Island, would be the next stop for their crew. Jason knew this would be the perfect place for his crew to grow stronger.

"Set course for the island," Jason instructed Koala, handing her a map. "There's treasure worth 5 billion beli there. It's also the perfect place for us to train before we head deeper into the Grand Line."

Koala nodded. "A month's journey? Seems like a good opportunity to get stronger," she said with excitement.

Jason's attention then turned to Bepo, who was gazing out over the sea. Bepo had been a loyal companion to Law, but Jason had plans to elevate him. Among the treasures Jason had gathered was the Tsuki Tsuki no Mi, or Moon-Moon Fruit, a Paramecia-type Devil Fruit that granted control over lunar energy. With it, Bepo would be able to transform into his Sulong Form whenever he wanted, not just during a full moon.

Jason walked over to Bepo, holding the Devil Fruit in his hand—a strange, white apple-like fruit with craters on its surface.

"Bepo," Jason called out, causing the bear-mink to turn toward him. "I have a surprise for you," Jason continued, holding out the Moon-Moon Fruit. "This Devil Fruit will give you control over lunar energy and allow you to enter your Sulong form whenever you want."

Bepo stared at the fruit in awe but hesitated. "Are you sure, Captain?" he asked, nervous about the consequences of eating a Devil Fruit. "I've heard a lot of stories about Devil Fruits."

Jason placed a reassuring hand on Bepo's shoulder. "You've got incredible potential, Bepo, and with this fruit, you'll be even stronger. You'll be a force on the battlefield, able to access your Sulong form at will."

Bepo considered Jason's words before nodding in agreement. Trusting his captain, he took a bite of the Tsuki Tsuki no Mi, wincing at the fruit's bitter taste. Almost immediately, he felt a surge of energy flowing through him, the power of the moon now coursing through his body.

Jason smiled, pleased with the result. "Good. We'll see what you're truly capable of when we reach the island."

The month-long journey to the island passed quickly. Bepo, now equipped with the powers of the Moon-Moon Fruit, began to grasp its capabilities, but he would truly test his new strength once they arrived.

As the island appeared on the horizon, Jason gathered the crew on the deck. "We'll be spending a year here," he said. "This island is home to beasts strong enough to challenge even the toughest among us. The strongest beast here has the power of a low-level commander. This will be your chance to grow stronger."

Law stood beside Jason, looking at the island's dense jungle and towering mountains. "A year is more than enough time to prepare," he remarked.

Jason nodded. "Exactly. We'll leave when we're ready to face the challenges ahead."

As they prepared to disembark, Jason turned to Bepo. "Bepo, this is your chance to test the limits of your new powers. By the time we're done here, I want to see the full potential of the Moon-Moon Fruit unleashed."

Bepo's eyes glowed with determination. "I won't let you down, Captain," he said, ready to face the challenges of the beast island.

With the crew now on the island, they were ready to face the wild beasts and claim the treasure hidden within. Jason knew that this was just the beginning, and soon enough, they would emerge from this island stronger than ever, ready to take on the Grand Line.
