20. The smell of a battle on the horizon..

May 2rd, 2012. Above Tesseracts Testing facility.

Shortly after my last encounter with Fury I had a conversation with the president forming him that I feel like Shield isn't what it was originally built to be, And I think it's been compromised. that's when he informed me of the project and asked me to keep a close eye on them for him which is why I'm in the sky looking down on the facility waiting for it to implode.

Eventually, as I eventually started to pick up excessive amount of energy coming out of the building, which means it is no longer stable and is only minutes away from causing the building to implode.

" Mr. President. I don't know exactly what happened, but I am picking up energy signatures that are dangerous. And they are currently evacuating the building as if they lost control of the tesseract." - "Thank you."

As he spoke, the building imploded underneath me. "What was that noise?" - "The building just imploded sir. It also looks like.. is that Loki?" - "Mr. Stark. What's going on?" - "Looks like we are under attack, sir. From what I can see Loki Thor's brother has stolen the Tesseract and is currently firing upon the shield agents." - "This isn't good." - "No. No it's not. I might need to activate my enhanced Human group." - "If You truly think it is that bad you have full authority to use whatever force you deem necessary to take back The Tesseract." - "I'll keep you updated."

I disconnected, then flew back towards New York.

I Took off my glasses and walked into the other room with a sour face.

Pepper: "Is if time?" - "Unfortunately it is. Sneaky just watched the building implode on itself, and low-key drive away with a Tesseract. So we should get a visitor tomorrow."

Pepper chuckled in the middle of my sentence.

"What's funny about that?" - "Your naming. Sneaky. It crakes me up." - "It fits. it's a remote controlled, lightweight, stealth suit. The name fits and you know it." - "Whatever you say, Iron Man." - "I Didn't come up with that name. I just didn't deny the name.

Where's Jessi?"

I sat down next to Pepper and she leaned into my chest. "Asleep.. So, how about we celebrate now to the successful activation of the Arc reactor." - "We aren't doing that till tomorrow."

She ran her fingers up my chest all the way to my lips. "I know. But you know just as well as me it'll work. And we'll be busy after… so. What do you say?"

I pulled her completely on my lap and kissed her neck. "Mrs. Stark. You are very hard to resist."

I flew out of the water next to a boat after I disconnected the transmission lines.

"Everything is good on this end. It's all up to you two."

Jessi: "You disconnect the transmission lines?" - "Who do you think your talking to?" - "Exactly. Did you? I hope you didn't disconnect the wrong line." - "You're not out of high school yet. You probably wouldn't even recognize the correct one, little miss."

Pepper: "Stop it you two. I swear I have two kids."

I turned the corner and I had a straight view of the tower.

"Light her up."

From the bottom up. The Stark Tower's light's came on.

Pepper: "How does it look?" - "Like I made a masterpiece."

Jessi: "I helped." - "Sorry. Like we made a masterpiece." - "Better."

Pepper: "We need to do some press. I need to go and check on the other three buildings."

"Pep. Slow it down. Focus on the moment."

I flew up and landed on the balcony.

Pepper: "Get in here and I will."

Jessi: "Ew. Get a room you two."

I walk inside the tower as the suit goes back into the unit.

"I did. It's the tower your standing in." - "I'm going to go to my room and rupture my eardrums."

Jarvis: "Sir, Agent Coulson of SHEILD is on the line." - "Tell him I'm not here."

I leaned down and kissed Pepper.

Jessi: "Now I'm going to gouge out my eyes."

"Make sure to wash your hands first."

Jessi: "That's not what you're supposed to say." - "Maybe."

Jarvis: "Sir, he's insisting." - "Make him work for it a bit longer, then let him in."

Pepper: "The levels are holding steady." - "Of course they are. I've mastered this ages ago." - "You still have mistakes every once in a while." She ran her fingers along my chest as she walked to the Champagne.

I followed as I spoke. "You've been talking to Jessi to much. She's just trying to start a rumor."

I took the drink and I kneed down to her level.

Pepper: "Jessi, lie. Never." - "Is this a post celebration- celebration?" - "I like your train of thought Mr. Stark?"

I took a sip then sat it down on the coffee table. "Eh.. Mrs. Stark. Do you think you can bunk over?"

Ding*

I looked at the Elevator and Coulson was standing there.

Coulson: "Mr. Stark." - "You shouldn't waited longer Jarvis."

Pepper: "Phil! Come in."

Jarvis: "Sorry, sir. Next time I'll wait longer." - "Good. Hey. When did he become Phil."

Coulson: "I can't stay."

Pepper: "Come in. We're celebrating."

"Which is another reason he can't stay."

He handed me a device. "We need you to look this over as soon as possible." - "It's a bit late For me to consult on something."

Coulson: "This is isn't a consultation."

Pepper: "Is this about the avengers Avengers? Which I know nothing about."

"If I remember correctly. The Avengers initiative was scrapped."

I walked over to my desk as I spoke. "And I also thought I made myself clear on that anyway?" - "This is more then just you and me." - "We'll see about that.. Mrs. Stark, you got a second?"

Pepper: "Is this what I think it is?" - "It might be." - "What did he give you?"

I connected it to my tower and threw all the files into the air in front of me. "This."

Pepper sat her drink down as she looked at all the potential Avengers. "Looks like we a fight ahead of us." - "We? No. You can take the jet to DC." - "Tony." - "No. please just go to DC. It'll make me feel a thousand times better." - "What about Jessi?" - "I'll make sure she get back to school tomorrow."

She kisses me. "Fine. She better get to school and you better come home safe."

I watched her walk to Coulson then down the elevator.

"Don't worry. My suit is over kill for this fight."

Jarvis: "Sir. Should I turn off the reactor when you eventually leave?" - "… No. The world needs a wake up call. I'll try to minimize the damage. But it needs to be done.

Is everything Prepped and ready?" - "Yes. Everything is prepped and prepared."
