First class

I and Alice walk through the door to the classroom and sit down. Not many of the class have arrived yet. Considering that the class starts in 7 minutes it's not that weird. It doesn't take long for the rest of the class to arrive, Ethan and Sara arrive, but Asher and Michael don't. I forgot to ask or check what theory class they were in, but I guess they are not in the same as I am.

Ethan finds a seat next to Alice and Sara one next to me.

"Morning, ready for class?" I greet her.

"Good morning to you too. And yes I am excited to know what we will be learning today"

"Yeah me too" after saying that the doors to the class room open and the teacher steps in.

"Good morning class"

"Good morning teacher" we all say at the same time.

"My name is Fredrick and I'm your theory class teacher. Today we will be talking about rules and school currency. This will last until lunch before you leave for your css class. This is the schedule for the rest of the week. Today and tomorrow you will have your css 1 class then css 2 class on thursday, css 3 class on friday. Saturday this week is the same as sunday, self study/rest day except for that you are not allowed to leave academy grounds. Use this day to either self study, find a team, get connections or explore the academy. Now let's get started. I advise all of you to take notes."

Activate program I think and the hologram screen appears before my eyes and I get it ready to write or rather think down notes.

He starts speaking again "Let's start with the school's currency. As I trust all of you have read, other forms of currency other than the school's are not allowed. If someone is to buy something, for example from one of the smith students you can either buy them with the school currency, trade them with other items like trophies or whatever else the student want as long as it's not any other currency then the school's"

"The currency is called NC, short for Nightingale currency and there are multiple ways to get them. Each week you get 350NC, a normal meal at the cafeteria costs 10 NC. The different ways of earning currency is by selling the proof of the monster you earned to the school, like a horn from a horned rabbit. For those of you that don't know the proof is called a trophy. It is only allowed to sell thorphys gathered after coming to the academy and without outside help. Only other students and teachers are allowed to help if you want to sell the trophy. And don't even think about tricking the school.

The other ways to get money are from teachers, other students, tournaments or other ways.

You can receive NC from a teacher if you have completed a mission they have given you or if you have done something else that makes them think you deserve it.

As long as one does not steal or force money from another student there are no rules for earning NC for each other. Either it is by selling stuff, giving missions, betting or because you feel like giving some.

There may be tournaments or competitions later where you can earn NC, but you will know about it then.

The other ways of earning money are byways the school thinks you deserve it, either by giving new information to the school like a new potion recipe or new monster. If you do something that should be almost impossible or really hard like defeating a monster many levels above your own or other feats you may earn extra NC.

NC can be converted into real money that can be used outside the academy, but not the other way around.

A random boy raises his hand "Yes" the teacher says and the student asks his question "Why do we have a school currency instead of using ordinary money?"

"Good question. It's to make all students learn how to earn money, make and motivate them to work harder and not to make rich kids have a big advantage. You were allowed to only choose to bring one weapon, armor piece, staff or another thing that you use for your class of common rarity. This is also to not let rich people get a huge advantage.

The biggest reason why we have the school currency is because you can buy things from the school like weapons, armor, skill scrolls, skill stones, spell scrolls, potions and other things. To be able to buy these things you will have to work hard to earn the currency. Any other questions about the currency?"

"Good, then let's talk about general rules. You are not permitted to leave the academy grounds before all classes are done.

On Sunday you are free to do what you want, either it is to self study, laze around, leave the academy grounds or go dungeon. However be aware that unless you get a teacher to join you in the dungeon we can not guarantee your safety and the academy will not be responsible for any accidents that do occur.

Looks like class is soon over. The last thing I will say today is that all of you have to be in a team of at least 5 at the start of the next week to go to a dungeon. If you by then do not have a team by then we will make teams for you by the students left.

"What have you done now?" Ethan asks me.

"Nothing, he probably just think I'm cute"

"And the narcissist is back"

"Well at least I have the looks to brag about unlike you" I get up from my seat and walk towards the teacher while I hear Alice and Sara giggle.

"Hello Fredrick, what did you want to talk about?"

"Because you were accepted into the academy not too long ago your whole uniform wasn't finished yet. Your pants should have arrived in your dorm by now. So you can change if you have any combat related class after this"

"Great, I thought I had to fight in the skirt" now that I think about it I saw some of the students in class wear pants, but didn't think too much about it. Was it because I was excited for my first class? Wow, I'm an idiot aren't I.

"Also, could you go to the headmaster's office when you are done with class today?"

"Yes" why would I be summoned to the headmasters office? Did I do something?

After speaking to the teacher I leave for the cafeteria. There I meet up with the team as we eat together before I leave for my dorm. When I arrive I see a robot entering my room. When I see inside I see it placing something on my bed. I go inside after the robot comes out. What is on my bed is a pair of pants. It has a theme of black and red like the rest of my uniform. This has to be the last part of the uniform that the teacher talked about then. I get dressed in it and leave for class.
