Chapter 23

Eugene Pov:

 "Well, what is the report," I ask my underling.

 "The house was blown up by Explosives laced throughout its structure. There was also an incendiary device of some kind, we don't know what, inside. It destroyed all physical evidense of the house leaving only ash. We have searched through it and found nothing to explain how those flames burst throughout the island. It seems they had a tunnel set up to escape anywhere," My underling says.

 "Well, find them, our employer doesn't take kind to excuses, nor do I," I say, pulling my gun and shooting him in the head. "This is an example of those who show up without results, if you don't want to end up like him, find out what happened," I say before leaving.

 "One of the helicopters found some sky divers who appeared near the last burst of fire. They are currently chasing them. Another helicopter reported a group of hikers heading into the forest from near another burst of fire. A third helicopter reported a man with a broken leg jumping from a cliff and shot until the water was red with blood," Someone else says.

 "Good, tell them to make sure the others are all dead," I respond.

Mia Pov:

 I know little about this group other than school and intelligence. Not only that, but other than the twins, Snotlout knows his way through the forest, despite what his background says. We were running, staying out of the light and open spaces to keep away from the helicopter.

 "Where and what is point K again?," I ask as I jump over a log.

 "Point K is the evacuation point, or safe zone. It is away from all of the exits so we will not be suspected there. Not only that, but it has materials to hide our appearances and create new Identities," Snotlout replies.

 "Ok," I say. I follow as we wind through the trees and over the forest ground. Lapping over on ourselves time and time again. I guess this is how they keep it hidden. "You really know how to hide it," I compliment, but he just looks around.

 "We're lost, aren't we?," Tuff says.

 "Yeah, but, I can always have Hookfang find it!," Snotlout says, taking something from his bag and giving it to his dog. Hookfang sniffs it before going off, leading us a few dozen feet away, to point K.

 "It was less than 50 feet away?," I ask. He was only off due to time away, damn, that's good in my book.

 "Yeah, well, welcome to Camp K. It is a clearing in the forest with Hobbit holes and tents you can put up. Come on, we need to get inside before the Helicopter covers this area. Despite how it looks, the entire place is hidden to the sky, but not us," He says and we all rush at that to the main Hobbit Hole.

 We get inside and close the door as we hear the helicopter coming closer. It eventually goes over the clearing, and continues on. "Ok, we are good. So where is this stuff?," Ruff asks Snotlout.

 "Somewhere in here, Jake built this, not me. He is the builder and Hiccup is the Blacksmith," He replies. 

 "So you have no Idea, is that it?," I ask. With no answer I take that as a yes.

 "Well, better get to searching," I say as I head out to search.

Hunter Pov:

 I have been swimming up the coast and I eventually find what I am looking for. A cave underwater that leads to a underground cavern with a beach. There is a safe location there where I will hide.

 Diving, I enter into the cavern and swim to the beach. The entire area is lit up by Glow worms and wyrms that seem to be on fire. I reach the shore and drag myself up on it. I had prepared this before we entered Berk middle. There is even a router here to connect to the internet, it connects to a tower in town.

 I grab some of the wood I placed here and start a fire. At the same time I get into some dry clothes. I had my stuff go down a shaft like Jake to get here as well. Grabbing it, I start to set up camp and get my computer ready. I am probably the only one who has gotten to this point.

Astrid Pov:

 We head with Thorfinn out of the cove and through the forest. "We will be leaving the island like Jake and heading to a safe one. Follow me, we need to be quick," He tells as as we jog through the forest.

 "Ok, when will we have satellite up link?," Hiccup asks.

 "When we get to the island, though I wouldn't suggest contacting anyone, never know who would be looking in," Thorfinn responded.

 "Makes sense, but what did you mean by you being retired?," I asked him, curious as to what he meant.

 "I, well, uh, that's a bit hard to explain. In short terms I did not like the chain of command and corruption. So I faked my death a year ago and have been working for Stoick in secret," He told us.

 "Ok," That was not helpful at all, but I am not saying that. We eventually make it to a spot in the forest where we stop. Thorfinn puts his hands into the ground and pulls up a hatch door. At the same time a helicopter can be heard in the distance.

 "Hurry, we need to move," He orders. With that we enter and he follows after closing it. Inside we are in a cave which he leads us through until we reach a cavern. Inside there is a small speedboat at a dock off a rock beach and some supplies.

 "Welcome to my humble abode. We will get on the ship and set sail at nightfall. It is currently around 10:00 so, we leave in 10 hours from now. Until then enjoy yourselves and make yourselves home on the ship," Thorfinn says as he walks off.
