.Inti's POV

[ Dark. It is so dark. I am alone, very alone, this darkness is my home. I am accustomed to it, so why...?].

" Pee pee pee!?", (Why can I not leave this asshole!?), I could feel my blood boil, as my core shone bright with rage.

" Good morning Inti!", Orion chimed as he came in through the door, in his hands a box that looked twice as heavy as it actually was.

"Pee pee", (I completely despise your existence), I turned away disinterested.

" Come on Inti, don't be like that", Orion whined as he pouted.

"...", [Mmph! I can do so much better than this. I who was born in the deepest parts of hell, where not even the flames of God's judgement could reach], I thought as I ignored the fool.

He tripped over his feet as a large totem fell upon him, " ...Ehmm, Inti can you give me a little hand here?".

[It's so clumsy. I wonder how it managed to live for so long], I scoffed, [The only reason I chose to follow him around is due to the heavy stench of death that is on him].

" Pee pee peh", (Do it yourself), I said as I floated away.

[When he dies I will consume his soul, for it is a special one indeed].

"Ok! Bye Inti!", he shuffled under the weight of the totem.

[...At least that was the original plan].

" (Cough! Cough!) Urgh!", Orion coughed blood onto his palm while sitting at his work table.

" Pee pee", (What is the matter with you mortal?), I hovered over his slouched form.

" I don't feel good Inti", he complained weakly as he clutched at his center, " I've been unable to make any sales this month, because of the broken bridge and the system can't be paused, not even for a while", he gritted his teeth, a dark shadow formed over his orbs.

" Pee pehe...", (Don't worry, you will not die from this...), I sat in his big calloused hand making the blood stain vanish, "...Peepee", (...I'll make sure of that), my core shone brighter.

[His foolishness extends to the heavens and back, but I do not wish death upon him], my core twisted in anguish for his predicament is not an easy one to solve.

" Inti?", he gazed upon my form having a sad look in his orbs. " Peepee", (Shut up and let me treat your injuries), I hissed as my flames burned hotter. " Thank you Inti", he whispered before falling asleep on his work table.

[Foolish mortal...], I thought as I observed his sleeping form. He looked to be peacefully resting. A complicated set of emotions stirred in my core and it bothered me.

"Psst! Hey Inti", my consciousness awakened from it's deep slumber as Orion called to me. "I've found a potential customer", he announced, " A gate just opened in the western part of this territory".

" Pepehe", (Then go meet them yourself, I am resting), I huffed as I assumed a more comfortable position. "Actually I'm scared Inti", he admitted as he propped his head upon one of his hands, " What if I make a mistake?", his orbs looked at me as though expecting an answer.

It was unbecoming, I could feel his sincerity and suddenly lost my interest in sleep. "It's been a long time since I've made a sale", a shadow formed over his orbs.

[Is this mortal blackmailing me?], I huffed annoyed by the possibility.

"Peep",(Fine, I will accompany you.), I lift my form to the air and bolt out through the door.

" Thank you Inti", I didn't see it but I could tell, he had a ridiculous grin on his smug face.

[Hmph! Let us see if this customer is worth it], I thought as I bobbed in the air leisurely.

" Yaay! a customer!", he chimed cheerfully as he followed behind me.

Somewhere in the forest

"Pee peeh p...", (Remember to approach the customer in a way you won't fr...), I turn to witness the empty space behind me.

[That mortal], I sighed to myself, there is a better luck with watching over a human infant than him.

" Good evening Miss, I hate to disturb your personal time but would you be interested in owning a guide in my shop? There are a variety you can choose...".

"Ahhh!".

[The foolish mortal already scared the customer], I scoffed as I observed the customers features from the sidelines. She looked delicate at the same time an air of royalty eluded her.

[Her expression seems lost, perhaps that is why he offered the guide].

I watched him keenly for a while, [The customer may be in trouble. I can feel him struggling with the very nature of his soul to claim and possess her. She is special], I strain my vision to see her properly but fail as the distance is too wide.

" I'm sorry Sir I don't have any money with me now", she said sounding confused. " Oh really! Then what's that?", he pointed to a pouch she had on her, flashing her a dirty smile.

[This mortal looks like a scammer], I sighed in frustration.

" Impossible", she whispered looking into the pouch as though she never knew it was there.

[These mortals will make my brain rot], I sighed.

" So what about now miss? Will you come to my shop, a guide would only cost you five gold coins at most", he looked hopeful.

[I really don't think it's worth it, it's not safe for this customer], I speculated.

" I guess there is no harm in it, let's go", she said as she seemed to notice the gap between the door and the earth.

" May I?", he reached out his hand to offer his assistance. " Thank you", she said gently taking his hand. It looked like a soap opera, this image will be engraved in my mind for a long time, her silver hair shone in the pale moonlight.

" My name is Orion but you can call me whatever you want...".

[This mortal is unbelievable], I stared at him incredulously.

"... and this is my assistant Inti", he said as he pointed to my form. Her glimmering golden orbs are directed towards me.

[I may understand a little, why he spoke so much in front of her], I shift uncomfortably as she gazed in awe at my form, [She has the eyes of a God].

" Inti say hi to the customer", he beamed at me.

[I don't know how to greet people properly but...], I shake my core in the moonlight causing a slurry of colors to erupt from my being, " Pee! Pee!", (Greetings Miss!), I bow low.

" Now that we are acquainted with each other, let's go!", he says cheerfully before making a dash for the forest. " Hey! Wait for me!", she called out as she tried to keep up.

[This mortal is unbelievable], I sighed, [I guess I will stay behind to prevent the customer from being eaten by wild beasts], I concluded.

[We have finally reached the cabin I'm exhausted], I groaned.

" Don't worry Miss, I won't cause you any harm, after all you're my potential customer", he smiled creepily as he disappeared into the refuge of the cabin.

[ This foolish mortal just sounded like an enemy in wait], I sighed deeply.

[I must do something to distract her from what he just said. The fool must have been reading her mind all this time].

"Pee! pee!", (Yaay! I can rest now!), I speed passed her form to distract her from her train of thoughts as I retreat into a corner of the shop to get a little bit of rest.

[That should do the trick], I thought satisfied with myself as I settled down to rest for a while, [Hmph! I'll have to give that foolish mortal a piece of my mind when the customer leaves], I thought as my flames dim in exhaustion.
