"Hey look over there! That last examiner we git paired with is a human? Seriously a human!!? How did that asshole survive the rough temperature of Everglaze, to begin with?" Only a second had passed and he was assaulted with a volley of awful remarks about his description

"I can't believe he survived! There's no way he arrived here by himself, I bet you my digits that hes from a rich lineage of humans. The little bastard came here to flaunt his families connection," Even if they were to lower their voices, he could hear every single bit of their conversation

He could hear it all with the help of the natural perks he gained from the abyssal tiger. But never did he pay any attention to their opinion, and continued to scour for any hidden talents. There wasn't any sign of anyone whom he deemed higher than anyone else in his group, and he concluded there close to an expert. He tried revealing a small surge of his fluctuations mana to draw anyone closer, but he never had any luck

'Hmmm, I know there's a genius hiding amongst this crowd. It only lasted a second, but I felt a peculiar aura running amok in this group. If they can conceal their energy to this extent, then I predict that they'll simply win without ever standing out. I've read too many of these common tropes, but I can agree with one thing. "If that happened then everyone else fails...? What's with that reaction? Do you think we're handing out wins? Even if the other four outlasted the rest, if they can't participate in the next round then they're disqualified for good. Also, might I ask why you'd asked this question all of a sudden?" The instructor then realizes the huge smile etched around Neon's face

No words were needed and his change of expression came about the answer of both the instructor and the other examinees. They'vell was said and done, he walks back to his assigned spot where he gave off a sinister grin amongst the examinees. His chosen expression both taunts and scared the living hell out of them when paired with his horrific eyes

"Everyone in your positions! On my mark, all of you will be held accountable for the injuries you've suffered. If we ever heard of anything that you'd decided to hold a grudge then you'll be banned for life. In the count of three... One! Two...! Three~" When he uttered his final words which initiated the battle a surge of mana took them by surprise

"Empower," With just but a simple leap he soared through the skies and landed directly into one of his adversaries

His right foot would send the head of his chosen target straight through the ground where not a single hint of air was to be seen. This left his enemy to flail as its last means of escaping his grasp, but this only engages him and he sent its has deeper to the ground. The others were left speechless about one of their own being ejected at the start of their match

"What the fuck!!! The largest examinee got ejected like that? Who the hell is he!!? I never heard of such a powerful newcomer~ Gaaaah!!!" His next target suffered a direct blow aimed at her abdomen whilst he delayed the flow of his mana

Instead of having his target hurdling away from the stadium, his delayed mana sends a powerful repulsion. The first blow he created damaged the outer surface of the body and the delayed strike pierced and damaged her organs. Before he moves on to his next target, Neon paused and watches their reaction upon viewing the aftermath of his attack

"Bluargh!!!" With his punch stripping away most of her strength, she could no longer bear to stand she dropped to her knees. Blood spewed from her mouth and a few would rose from her nose and before they knew it, she fell from a single strike. When all of that was concluded, he whisked her away and brought her to the instructor's care

"Oh instructor, this examinee needs immediate medical attention... Take this potion as a means of healing her current state. She needs more than that measly potion for her to fully recover," With the examinee's life reaching a threatening phase, he could no longer stand and watch from the side

He took the examinee and left them without any supervision, but what came after surprised them all. Neon never once continued his rampage and sat in the nicely cut field of grass

"I'll give you all a second chance... You better show your true strength right now or else I'll initiate my previous plans. Do you think im a fool? I know there are a few talented people in this group. If you don't want your future to be so bleak then I suggest you show your hand!" He set the perfect stage for those talents to emerge from their shells

The first thing he did was to appear as a powerful adversary who gains joy from stepping on the weak. The second was that he made them fear his capabilities and lastly he created a situation where there weren't any eyes. Though his attacks display pure brutality, he never hit a single nerve for any part of their body to be crippled

"Let me give you guys a piece of advice, a hidden talent is nothing but a wasted one... If you're frightened of showing your worth when there's an instructor, then what a turn of events this is am I right? This is your final chance if you don't take this seriously before the instructor arrives. I'll make sure that none of you will move to the next round," After he said those words, he leaks more of his mana and the amount was enough to leave them frozen in place

The pressure was enough to make them faint but those who didn't only have to deal with the moisture of their trousers. He never wanted things to wind up in such a mess, he never wanted to show his hands. But they've crossed the line, Neon was unforgiving to those who know of their talent but they never intended to be used. The sheer thought of seeing remarkable talent going to waste enrages him and made him susceptible to acts of violence

"Why you insolent primate!!! Do you think you'll get away after threatening the heir of one of the academy's high shareholders~" Before his words would enrage Neon any further, he was silenced by an attack originating from the crowd

The attack came in the form of a spell when released shots out a ball of flame in incredible speed and trajectory. The same aura he sensed not long after would rise again and reveal its true face. An individual shorter than him appeared dragging the foul-mouthed individual

"You're also the one who bet that this examinee came from a rich lineage...? You're the greatest example of a hypocrite, I guess my action sums up my talent. Seeing that you stopped after beating the two, I can guess that you're looking for a few capable allies. Nice to meet you Mr. Psychopath, you can call me Zane," The two of them shared a handshake, and instead of the rest calmly appearing

The two were met with the most unruly introductions they'd ever seen, Neon was even forced to parry the upcoming attack. He held tightly and swung a slow and normal punch and the individual quickly evades his attack. When he thought everything was under his control, an invention a spell fired from his back, it came from Zane. They colluded with each other, but when the smoke had dispersed they see him completely unharmed
