He could not help but laugh. It was absurd to think that Heaven would come to bless him. What was heaven? It was not a living thing. 

It was just a made up thing to justify things that no living being could control. It was a force of nature, which was only someone's figment of imagination. 

Although he was a child, he knew that his parents were just making things up the moment they talked about heaven. 

While the child was laughing, Karyk was completely serious. In this world, he had learned to not underestimate things. If the King himself said that Heaven will come down, was it truly a lie?

Even his own common sense made him unable to believe it. He had seen many gods in his own universe. They were what the mortals called heaven, but this was truly just a made up thing.
