Chapter 38

Alyssa was deep asleep in Raymon's hands when she saw herself in the palace dungeon, a man stood far ahead releasing a certain prisoner, and soon everywhere was covered with ancient dark powers, she covered her nose and held her stomach in fear as she tried to run but her legs wouldn't budge. The dark powers soon started to cover her up and she saw blood drop from her body and she screamed in extreme fear.

"My baby! My baby!! Help me!!!" she could barely breathe when she shouted out of her sleep.

"Honey, what's wrong?" Raymon asked as he heard her scream in fear while panting heavily, holding her baby bump so tightly with her shivering hands.

He went closer to her and hugged her lovingly. "It's just a dream, okay?" He said trying to convince her and himself though he knew her dreams always come true, he wished this particular one wouldn't

As soon as he felt her calm down, he gently laid her back on the bed. "I'd get you some water then call the royal physician," he said as he left the room, ordering Enzo; a guard, to watch over the room properly. He couldn't find any maidservant at that time so he had to go get Mira himself. Ordering her to never let Alyssa out of her eyes.

Mira got to the crown princess's quarters and found them unusually empty. There were no guards by the door either, she quickly ran into the room to check on Alyssa but to her surprise, the room was empty. Mira ran out and bumped into Enzo, the guard who was supposed to guard the princess.

"Enzo, where's the crown princess? Mira asked.

"I left her inside, there was a shadow lurking around here, it's quite dangerous," Enzo said as he showed Mira his bleeding arm. The shadow had cut him deep.

"We have to find the princess right now else the crown prince would…"

"I get the picture, " Enzo quickly said. "Take the left hand while I take the right "

They both went their separate ways looking for Alyssa. Alyssa was on her way to the dungeon, walking like she was hypnotized. Despite being scared after having the vision, Alyssa felt controlled as she walked into the dungeon. To her surprise, there were no guards on duty, she had walked in and scanned the area from a distance but she didn't see anything out of the ordinary, she decided to leave but then she felt a strong dark presence.

She dragged her feet and went to the prison gate where she felt the presence and she was shocked when she saw Vera tied to a wall.

"Vera??!!!" Alyssa shouted as she ran to release her.

"Run away from here" Vera weakly said but Alyssa couldn't hear her. "Please Alyssa, please leave" but it was too late for Alyssa to run as she felt the dark presence right behind her.

"Look who we have here, the dragon keeper," Gideon said. Alyssa turned to see the speaker. It was Gideon and Prime Minister David.

Gideon walked closer to her and she subconsciously stepped back.

"Thought I asked you to finish her up," Prime Minister David said to Gideon while pointing to Vera.

"Vera is my friend and I need her to pass my message, especially to Zayn," Gideon said. "I'd be back to take what's rightfully mine, tell Kylie I'd be back for her"

"In your dreams, Kylie is for Zayn " Alyssa spat angrily as Gideon burned with rage.

"Hazel was for Owen but Lucius stole her, I won't let that repeat itself," Gideon said.

"Owen? You know about Owen?" Vera weakly asked.

"Ahhhh'' Alyssa gasped as she stepped back again. "He is Owen '' she whispered as Gideon smirked evilly.

"Your dragons hated me at first sight Abi". He said. "I should finish you off so I'd have fewer enemies to worry about, " Gideon said meanly. He raised his hands and dark powers smoked out of his body, trying to cover Alyssa up and just as she had dreamt about, she could hardly breathe and she felt a sharp pain in her stomach as blood ran down to her legs.

"My baby!" She inwardly cried as she felt too lightheaded to fight back.

"No!! Gideon, please let her go ''Vera said as she watched Alyssa lose her baby but Vera's plea sounded like music to Gideon as he tightened his hands around her.

Onyx felt its master was in grave danger and it tried to break the barrier Alyssa put on the dragon mountain but to no avail. It wailed and growled loudly drawing the attention of the other dragons to their master's present predicament.

**Daichi palace

Mira was able to find Raymon in time and told him that Alyssa was missing. Enzo had perceived the dark powers and had informed Raymon of the present situation. Raymon rushed to the dungeon but as Gideon heard the approaching footsteps he and the prime minister disappeared. Raymon caught Alyssa just in time before she hit the ground, she was cold, unconscious, and bleeding

He carried her and ran out of the dungeon, telepathically communicating with Zayn for help. Zayn and Kylie had rushed over as soon as they got the news. Kylie quickly wrapped Alyssa in her light trying to suck out all the dark powers she had taken in. The royal physician looked at her with mockery, they had tried everything they knew, and Alyssa was going to lose the child. It would be a miracle if she survived.

The bleeding was not stopping and Alyssa was turning cold and white. Raymon couldn't do anything, King Yohan and Queen Tiffany stood in fear, they were about to lose their grandchild. Queen Tiffany felt nostalgia as she had almost lost Zayn, she wondered if Alyssa would even survive the ordeal.

Kylie held out her hands over Alyssa, concentrating all her powers on her before releasing a blinding light on her. Alyssa screamed as the smoke of ancient dark powers came rushing out and got burnt by Kylie's light.

The royal physician ran to Alyssa to check her breathing, it was steady but there was no heartbeat from the baby.

"I'm sorry but we lost the baby," the royal physician said.
