CHAPTER THIRTEEN

Ash’s POV

Someone was going to the hospital and it wasn’t me. Soon I would have a comatose guy if I kept doing nothing. I whirled around and almost stumbled back in fright.

“What did you say?” Jace’s voice cut in and I whirled around, relief flooded me at the sight of Jace, there standing, fury blazing in his eyes.

Jace looked so murderous, I could practically feel his dark aura behind him and his clear intent to break Jake’s neck.

I gulped down the terror, “Jace.” I tried, but he only glared at me sideways before he continued to glare at Jake.

“Oh hey man—“ He laughed nervously, rubbing his hands on his jeans. “Didn’t know you’re there. Ah listen, so I was j—“ His words stopped midway and his eyes widened. Jace took a double step towards him and his punch landed with a sickening crunch. Jake immediately fell to the ground, groaning and squirming away from Jace.

“Dude! What the he—“ Another punch landed on his face and I winced from the impact.
