Chapter 4.

Seraphina's POV

A knock on the library door had me nervous. I was already but for some reason now it was real. A guard let the man in when I said so. Last night Dad gave us a choice in which room we could meet the men in me and Lydia both chose our favorite rooms. I did it mainly because the library is like my safe space.

I've personalized it. I picked out the couch and maintained the area. I look up seeing Nicholas walk in and take a seat in front of me. We both sat in silence until he cleared his throat.

"Hello, Seraphina." His deep voice had a hint of the Italian accent, I mean he is from Italy so I don't know what I was expecting.

"Hi, Mr. Burns."

"Nicholas is okay."

"Of course."

"Let's get to the point, you know why I'm here. Why don't we get the awkwardness out of the way? We are to be married I would like to hear about what you would like of me." He laid out his contract in front of him as I flipped mine to the first revision I had.

"This isn't in the contract but I want to make it clear. I do not want children, at least not yet." I started.

"Of course, whatever you are comfortable with." He nodded his head.

"I want to go to school."

"I can make that work."

"I want access to my family and all my friends."

"Okay."

"You have to be faithful to me through our entire marriage. I don't care what you do before we are married."

"I can do that." He smirked a little and went through his contract when I motioned I was done.

"My first revision is that you must at least tell me when you are going. We both must wear a hidden tracker for emergencies."

"As long as you promise to not use it to control me then yes."

"Then that is it."

"That's all?" I asked skeptically. The contract had many rules about divorce, if one of us was found cheating, any abuse carried out, or if we truly did not fall in love and wished to divorce we could. I figured he would try to cut out those parts.

"Well I had more but you had already covered them with yours."

"Ok. Do you have a timeline you would like?"

"Yes, I would like us to be married next month. I've already asked your father and he agreed. I will take care of everything, you only have to get your dress. But your opinions are always welcome." I nod in shock. I knew I would be married quickly but just not that quick.

"Where will we live?"

"In my home in Italy." I nod as we both sit in silence until a knock on the door alerts us of everyone else is done. A guard sticks his head in and asks us if we are ready.

We stand up but Nicholas grabs my hand before we exit the room.

"Here, text me tonight." He hands me a business card with his number on the back. I hold it in my hand as he leans in and presses a kiss to my cheek and leaves the room without a word. I leave as well and go to my room.

I put his number in my phone and wait for my sisters. Cora walks in first and jumps on my bed squealing. Alice walks in with a small smile. Lydia walks in last with a blank look.

"Guys we're getting married," Cora yells and jumps on my bed.

"Who picked you?" Alice asks her wondering why she is so excited now.

"Victor. He is so hot. I mean his eyes are bright blue and when he winked at me I swear I almost melted. What about you guys?"

"Santiago," Lydia says dryly.

"Damien" Alice again had a small smile on her face.

"That means that little Seraphina talked to Nicholas. I've heard stories about him he is just as good at torturing as he is at pleasing." Cora winks at me causing me to gasp.

"Cora, you can't say that."

We spend a few more minutes talking about the men until I kick them out wanting to sleep. Before I close my eyes I text Nicholas good night as he asked.
