Chapter 5.

Seraphina's POV

Wedding Day Countdown- 12 Days.

The reminder looks back at me. Cora made us all install the reminder when we received our wedding dates. Weirdly all of ours are within a week. First, it's Lydia then Alice then we have a day in between, and then Cora and then me.

With less than two weeks we all decided to go wedding dress shopping today. Since meeting Nicholas, we've been talking to each other. We text every night and morning and he routinely asks me questions about our wedding. We decided to choose the colors dark blue and dark fuschia color.

He would send me photos of things for my approval. So far everything with him has been great but who knows what's gonna happen when we are together. I mean we are technically engaged without any of the feelings and love you should feel for each other. It feels weird to plan a wedding with someone who I barely know.

I know that I will get to know him over our marriage but I wish I got the chance the meet him even just a little bit.

Grabbing my purse I leave my room heading downstairs to get in the car with my sisters. Everyone's wedding is planned out and we all decided that Dad will get to see our wedding dresses on an actual day as a surprise. Leaving only us four to see our dresses.

Getting in the car I slide over and wait for my sisters to follow. Soon enough they all get in the car and we are off to the bridal shop. Pulling up after a few minutes we all get out and head inside. Dad arranged for us to have the shop for ourselves and the employees.

We enter the shop seeing dresses on mannequins and jewelry in the giant cases on one of the walls. Standing there with the light music, a team of 5 girls come out and greet us.

"Welcome, girls. I'm the manager Zoe. These are Debra, Callie, Kelsi, and Fay. We are gonna break off a little and you going to tell one of the girls what you would like and then we can get started." She claps her hands and the girls each move and introduces themselves personally to us.

Fay comes over to me and takes me over to one of the corners of the building.

"Do you have an idea of what you like? And I mean any idea it can be something you like and even stuff you don't want."

"I guess nothing with a train for starters." She nods. "Not too much bling, I would like something on the simpler side."

"Do you have any idea what style you would like or top?"

"Not really."

"Well, why don't you look around for some that catch your eye, I'll do the same and we can meet together when we have a few options. In the back, there is a door with your name on in which you can put anything you find." She points to an entry in the back of the building. I nod and we separate.

I start on one of the racks finding a few dresses that look cute but none that I would want to try on. After about 15 minutes I take a few dresses to the back. Fay finds me and both head to the back to try on whatever we found.

For each wedding, we decided to not do bridesmaids since we are all getting married. We also will be trying on dresses and showing off the final decision or showing when we really can't pick one.

Looking in the room I have about 7 dresses I need to try on, and if none of these are what I want then I'll have to get more dresses.

The first dress I put on was beautiful but I hated how the high neckline looked. I hate to talk about my figure because it's weird, but I'm pretty average height at about 5'4". I have a slight hourglass figure but mainly because of my boobs. I don't have a large cup size but it's a noticeable size. With my boobs, the neckline looked awkward and felt awkward.

The second and third dresses were a similar style but they had too much bling on them for my taste. After the third dress, Lydia found her dress which looked beautiful.

The fourth dress looked amazing but it just didn't feel like my dress. The fifth had bell sleeves that didn't seem to fit the dress. Cora had found her dress and showed us, she looked amazing.

The sixth dress I had picked and now with it on I'm questioning what I was thinking, it was similar to a ball gown style but a little smaller. With the size, it made it hard to move.

At this point, I'm losing hope. I tried on six dresses and was denied six dresses. Fay complimented me on each one and when I denied it she would try to figure out why I didn't like it. One last dress though.

I put it on and had Fay adjust it by clipping it in the back like it had alterations. When it was done she had me turn around to face the mirror.

I looked at the dress to see a satin fabric in a more sheath style pinched at the waist. It had a loose boat neck and thin straps. I like how it showed off my assets if you will but didn't make it too showy. It had no gems which I loved. It had a small trail but not a bothersome one. It rested in a small puddle on the floor without shoes.

"Let me go get you a pair of shoes to try on." Fay walks out to find a pair of shoes. She comes back in with a chunky heel white shoe. I put them on and we tied the string that went around them. The shoes added about two to three inches to my height and caused the dress to just barely graze the ground.

I walked around the dressing room for a second to see if it was comfortable.

"Let me go get your sisters." Fay walks out of the room. I hear them all waiting and I walk out and stand on a slight podium.

"Wow."

"Beautiful."

"That's the dress."

With everyone's approval, I get changed and measured for the dress to fit me properly. We decide to trim it just a little on the bottom and adjust it in the waist to fit me. While waiting for Alice I start looking at the jewelry options they have.

I found a few necklaces that looked cute but none caught my eye. Fay asked me if I wanted a veil. I said no, I plan on having my hair down and I feel that the veil would look weird with my hair. And I have a satin dress with no lace so a lace veil wouldn't match ultimately.

Alice finds her dress and we leave the shop. I thought we were done with the shopping for today but nope. Cora is forcing us to get a new dress for each other's weddings and then a few outfits for our new life.

After hours of shopping, Cora releases us and we head home. Cora suggests we should start packing which I have been doing. Anything that I don't need daily I've packed. I plan to start packing up the rest of my stuff next week.

The last thing I see before closing my eyes is a text.
