CHAPTER 32

FOUNDATION DAY 3

It's still early that's why there are only few students roaming around the campus and I'm here outside the gate to wait for Lou's arrival. We are allowed to come late because of school's event that's why our friends won't come here this early. Besides our university is open for other students from different universities to witness our event. When the clock strikes at 9 am the campus is almost over crowded because the other students won't let this chance to slip it off. Our university only allowed the other students to come here when it's a foundation week. Most of the students wants to study here because it's the most prestigious school here in the country yet this university has a high standard so the students should pass an arduous exam. People keep on staring at me because they know that I'm always late before that's why I understand if they are not used to seeing me this early. I can see the shock in their eyes like it's so unbelievable that I'm here early and when they caught my eyes they look away. I can also hear a lot whisper and blabbering why I come here early and stood here outside the gate.

After a while, Lou arrive wearing high waist jeans, tuck-in sky blue shirt and white sneakers. She's so simple yet whatever she wears, she still manages look to elegant and classy. I call her and wave at her because she keeps looking around to look for me though I'm just here looking at her since she arrives. I know that she's not used to wear branded and glamorous things because she resembles a princess of a big kingdom. She's a prim, proper, classy, elegant and most of all she has a good heart. A perfect girlfriend material understanding, sweet, supportive, knows how to cook, kind-hearted and know how to go along to your trip.

Nowadays, it's so hard to find a woman like her, oh God, I really like her. But, I know she's still not ready for a relationship that's why I'm contented to be her friend for now. We decided to eat breakfast at the coffee shop in front of the university and when we come inside I let her look for a vacant table for us while I go directly at the counter to order for the both of us. I ordered cheese cake, pancake with caramel syrup, café latte and café mocha and sit on the chair to wait our order. While we are waiting our order to be serve, we are surprise when our friends occupy the vacant chairs on our table. "Hey, you two! Why do you keep hanging out without us, huh? You guys already forgot us that we are still your friends" Jenny said dramatically while wiping her fake tears.

"I'm sorry, I just want to enjoy my freedom while I'm outside. You guys already know that I can't go out if it isn't about important matter besides we know that you guys won't come at school early that's why we don't tell you about it" I said sadly and smile at them weakly. "Always remember this, Lou; we are always here for you and don't be shy to open up with us, okay? We are waiting for the time that you are ready to open up with us because we know that there are a lot of things that you are keeping it up with yourself. We don't want asks you and you'll be open up unwillingly that's why we are waiting for you to be ready" Miks said with a smile while holding my right hand. "Thank you for understanding my situation" I said with them gratefully and smile genuinely.

After we ate breakfast on the café we choose to come back at the school immediately. When we came back there are a lot of students roaming around that's why we went directly at the gymnasium because all of us have a game today. The boys have a basketball game, I have a volleyball game, Jenny will be playing tennis while Miks will be playing girls' volleyball. After we wear our varsity shirts and shorts last year we went to our team mates to listen at the announcement of schedules of the game and who will be our contender for today. The first games that will happen for this morning are track and field, soccer, and volleyball that's why we sit on the bleacher to watch Miks's game against tourism department. There are a lot of students that scream especially boys when the two teams come to the court and as we know boys they wouldn't miss the chance to whistle and catcall the players because the girls are wearing short shorts which shows too much skin, their smooth and white legs.

One of Miks's team mate is the one who serve which the other team didn't oppose that's why Mik's department rejoice. The other team can't acquire a lot of points because they lack of team work and they are frustrated at what's happening in their team. Miks's team got twelve points more as the other team that's why they look irritated now. On the second quarter the other team starts to play dirty and their goal is to injured the valuable player of Miks's team. That's the reason why they get eight more points and they started to be more competitive to win this game. As the game is still on, you can hear the loud cheers for the two teams and when you look around at the gymnasium you see can a lot of banners for their supported teams. Every time their supportive teams got points they make a drum roll that can destroy ear drums of every student.

The volleyball game ends with Miks's team victory and after that the next game that I'll watch is tennis game. I'm just waiting for Miks to change clothes so we can go together to watch the game. Few minutes had passed before she come out on the locker room wearing a black tube, plain V-neck shirt, denim short shorts and white sneakers. While I'm wearing a black loose shirt tuck onto the high waist denim shorts and gray Korean shoes. Jenny's contender is Faith Alvarez which is known as a campus model for her fashion for clothes. As in every day she wears a branded and elegant dresses like she would ramp on a fashion show. We don't have a uniform that's why we can wear anything we want on school events although on regular classes we can't wear short shorts, miniskirts, crop tops, low neckline clothes or anything daring.

When we reach the field there are a lot people here to watch the game, because I'm with Miks it's not difficult for us to sit on the bleachers in front. From our direction, I can see clearly that the game started early and the two players are seriously playing tennis like it's a national contest. I can see that Jenny's contender still has no point but for a while she got a lot of points almost tie with Jenny. I can see how good they are with playing tennis because their game stands an hour and half besides Jenny only got one more point to Faith. It's just they are the one to match with almost same excellence and talent that's why their game is more enjoyable. If I didn't witness how they play tennis I would think that they have a misunderstanding yet they are also a training buddies. It looks like they are playing at the NCAA and they are playing at their best as they represent our university.

As a matter of fact, they are both known as one of the best tennis player in the country; they did a fist bump then a cheek to cheek after the game ends. Aside from that, most of the people are comparing the two of them whose more excellent in playing tennis though they didn't mind it and it doesn't affect their friendship. Jenny wins that's why there are a lot of people who wants to congratulate her after excusing herself, she runs to us with a grin on her angelic face. I'm shock when she jumps at us and hug us like koala then pinches our cheeks with a playful smile on her face. We are busy with our chitchats while we are walking to the cafeteria to buy snacks before we watch the basketball's game of our friends. I just hope for our unending happiness as we are together and enjoy every moment that we are spending together.
