7- The Gryffindor Common Room

~Adriana POV~

The hat yelled Gryffindor and the table at the extreme corner bursted in cheering while the other tables just clapped leaving the one with green and silver banners.

I went to the table and the twins came and patted my back.

Then I noticed the same Raven hair with green eyes, sitting and smiling at me.

A smile crept on my face and I jumped to sit between Harry and Ron.

"Wow Anna! You made in Gryffindor!" Ron yelled

I nodded happily and then stopped.

"How do you know my nickname?" I asked a little shocked

"Bloody hell! This is your nickname?" he asked and I nodded.

"Wow" he breathed out.

Then I turned my head towards Harry and to my surprise he was looking at me only.

"what?" I asked

"now we can be best friends!" he exclaimed and I smiled.

"was your sister telling the truth that you don't have any friends?" he asked and I turned red.

"No!" I said quickly

"I do have friends but not very, like the one who dance with me are my friends." I explained.

He made an o noise and turned his head towards the platform.

"SILENCE!" Dumbledore yelled and the hall went quite.

Hermione came running in and sat across us.

"oh! I missed the sorting." she said with a sad expression

"in which house did Adriana go? I really wished that she was in our house." she said not noticing me at all.

"I guess the hat granted your wish." I said while smiling.

"OHH! You are in the same house!!" she squealed and I laughed softly.

As I was going to say something dumbledore started.

"Welcome! Welcome to another year at Hogwarts. Now, I'd like to say a few words.....before we all become too befuddled

by our excellent feast." he said.

"First, I'm pleased to welcome

Professor R.J. Lupin, who's kindly consented

to fill the post, of Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher." dumbledore continued.

Professor Lupin stood up and bowed lightly and the hall again erupted in applause.

"Good luck, professor." Dumbledore said.

"Of course! That's why he knew to give you both the chocolate,Adriana and Harry." Hermione said and I nodded.

But then a cold voice said from behind.

"Potter. Is it true you fainted?" a boy with dirty blond hair and pale skin said.

"I mean, you actually fainted?" he said again and 2 students around him started to laugh.

I furrowed my eyebrows and said.

"And if you don't shut your mouth, who knows you will be the next one to faint and.....if we prepare a cue then those pigs will be next." I said glaring at the two boys laughing at Harry for no reason.

The boy with pale skin glared at me and I narrowed my eyes at him.

"You Black,right?" he asked.

"if you had been paying attention on the speech than cracking useless jokes, then you shouldn't had to ask." I taunted and people from the gryffindor table who had been listening the whole conversation burst in laughter.

The boy turned pink and turned to look at his friends while we turned around to look at our table.

"Bloody hell Adriana! That was amazing!!" Ron said.

"Why, thank-you!" I replied while grinning.

"Lily did you see how Anna showed that blond ferret his place" James said jumping up and down like a maniac.

Lily sighed and said "Yes! Now if you could sit down then we can see our son and Ann-"

"Don't. Say. Anna. She is my future daughter-in-law." James interrupted.

Regulus rolled his eyes and shifted a little away from Lily and James because he thought that they were just overreacting.

"Do you see! How cool my daughter-in-law is? I think Harry should propose him right now" he said to the angels grinning widely.

"isn't he like 13?" Satan who was peeking from a small window asked and James with the angels glared at him.

"Lily! Regulus! I'll be back in a minute." James said while walking towards the Satan.

"No! JAMES COME HERE!" Lily shouted but he ignored him so both Lily and Regulus went to watch there family on the TV again.

"Our Care of Magical Creatures

teacher has decided to retire in order to spend more time

with his remaining limbs.

Fortunately,

I'm delighted to announce that his place will be taken

by none other than our own Rubeus Hagrid." he said and the gryffindor tanle burst in a big round of applause.

"Finally, on a more disquieting note." dumbledore continued but in a voice of disagreement.

"At the request of the Ministry of Magic Hogwarts will, until further notice,

play host to the dementors of Azkaban until such a time

as Sirius Black is captured.

The dementors will be stationed at every entrance to the grounds. Now whilst I've been assured that their presence will not disturb our day-to-day activities."

"A word of caution.

Dementors are vicious creatures. They'll not distinguish between the one they hunt and the one who gets in their way. Therefore, I must warn each and every one of you to give them no reason to harm you. It is not in the nature of a dementor to be forgiving." he continued.

"But you know,

happiness can be found even in the darkest of times...if one only remembers

to turn on the light." he said while making a candle lit by his hand.

Then he clapped his hands and food appeared on the Golden plates on the table.

I looked at the table with my eyebrows raised.

Harry nudge me and gestured me to eat.

"I am a pure vegetarian." I said glancing at the chicken wing in disgust.

"ohh! Then you can have some mashed potatoes and boiled vegetables,wait, here!" he said while helping me with my plate I smiled at him and started eating.

~Harry POV~

I helped her with some vegetarian food and she smiled at me.

When she smiled I felt something weird in my stomach but I brushed it off and started eating.

We finished eating and now the four of us were heading towards the common room.

We reached the moving stairs and stepped on it.

As hermione was going to tell her about the stairs. The stairs started to change it's place.

We all grabbed the railing of the stairs to balance ourselves except for Adriana.

And as the result she fell on the step of the stair below her.

We were not able to hold our laughs and bursted into laughing.

I helped her stand up as she was busy glaring daggers at us.

I chuckled lightly at her face and after a moment she burst into laughter.

We reached the entrance of the gryffindor common room and met with a flood of students.

We fought our way in the front and met by Neville.

"Fortuna Major" I said

"Here, listen." the fat lady said.

"She just won't let me in." Neville said

"Fortuna Major." I said again.

"No, no. Wait, wait.Watch this." she said holding a glass.

She started singing or more like screaming for about two minutes.

We covered our ears in order to protect our ear drums.

I heard Adriana laugh and I thought that she was mad.

We were busy protecting our ears that we didn't see her breaking the glass by smashing it on the wall.

"Amazing. Just with my voice." she said hopefully.

"Fortuna Major." dean shouted from behind.

"Yes, all right. Go in." the fat lady said in a boring voice.

"Thank you." I said and we entered the common room.

I glanced at Adriana and saw her mouth agape.

Seeing her like this a small smile fought it's way on my lips.

"Still doing that after three years." Dean said

"She can't even sing." Neville said

"Exactly."

"Hey, man."

"Hey, man."

" Oh, God."

"That's awful."

They all started discussing about how peaceful will be their 3rd year.

I turned to look at Ron, Hermione and Adriana.

Ron and Hermione were standing besides me bickering as always but Adriana was not there.

I panicked a little and turned my head frankly around to find her and saw her with Neville, Dean and Seamus taking.

I went to them and they all beamed at me.

"Heya Harry!" Dean said.

"Hello Dean!" I greeted back

"she is so cool! Have you heard she knows how to fight." Seamus said gesturing to Adriana.

I looked at her and found her smirking.

"yeah! I heard her threatening Malfoy also." Neville said.

~Adriana POV~

I just met 3 boys and they were very nice to to me so we started talking.

After 5 minutes Harry came and all of them started saying that I am so cool and I know how to fight.

Hearing that I couldn't help but smirk.

The smirk instantly vanished when Neville said that I have threatened Malfoy.

"who is Malfoy?" I asked.

"the pale guy which you threatened during the feast is Malfoy." Harry replied.

"oh!" I said

"it's a weird name, 'Malfoy'."I said.

They laughed and Dean said.

"it's his last name. His first name is Draco, Draco Malfoy!"

I furrowed my eyebrows and said.

"Still weird! sounds like a dead dragon" I said and they all burst into laughter.

"Mate she is amazing!" Seamus said.

"Oh I know!" i said while bowing dramatically.

"Harry! Send Adriana with me,she is sharing room with me and she wouldn't want to be late on her very first day of school" Hermione yelled and I looked at them with a sorry eye.

"actually she is right, I don't want to be late for my first day at school." I said standing up.

"Good night!" I called as I went to hermione.

"night!" the boys chorused.

I went to the room and saw 4 beds.

I am sharing the room with 3 girls..... Hmmm.. It wouldn't be that hard. I thought.

I went to the washroom and changed into my PJs and hopped in the bed.

It was so nice and cosy that I drifted to sleep immediately.

So, just to make it clear the talk in heaven will be in 3rd person pov and as there is no option for writing in italics so it will be divided by '~~'.
