After I casted the {Lumos} on my first try, Professor gave 10 points to Gryffindor. He asked me to try to control the brightness of the light. After practicing for some time, I can now control the light from very dim to very bright.
"Stefan, how can you do it on your first try?" Ron asked me with a look of 'it's not fair.' Neville interrupted and asked me to teach him how to cast {Lumos} from behind me.
"Well, first you need to visualize light in your mind and follow my wand movement and say it clearly and calmly, {Lumos}," I instructed him. Ron and Harry also joined him. Hermione, who was listening to my explanation, asked me, "Did you already learn to cast spells before coming to Hogwarts?"
"No," I replied with a shrug. Following me, Hermione casted {Lumos}. While I was teaching Hermione, Professor Flitwick was standing near Malfoy and looking at me very satisfied. "Congratulations, Ms. Granger, for casting the spell second in the class. 5 points for Gryffindor. And 5 points for Gryffindor, for Stefan, for guiding fellow students," Professor awarded points.
Following Hermione, Neville, Harry, and Ron were able to cast the spell after a few failures. Professor Flitwick asked me to help a few students. So, I helped a few of them. When I went to Seamus, who was desperately trying to cast the spell, I asked Neville and Hermione to move for safety purposes. Hermione frowned and revolted, "It's not your business." Neville went to my place.
"Seamus, right, look, you are waving your wand very stiffly. So, relax your shoulder and try it." Before I could finish, he waved the wand, . I stepped back due to my reflex,
Harry's half face was covered with dirt, and Seamus was fully covered with dirt. Hermione, who was sitting next to Seamus, her face was fully covered with dirt. "Didn't I tell you?" I said with a mocking face.
Ron on the front was having a hard time controlling his laugh by covering his mouth and wiping his tears.
Professor Flitwick rushed to the table and checked Seamus and Hermione for any injuries and used {Scourgify}, a cleaning spell, on them. After the class, all four of us went to the Great Hall for lunch. After finishing lunch, I asked them, "Hey, guys, are you interested in a night tour of the Hogwarts Castle?"
Ron backed off, thinking about how scary his mother can be, and Harry was a little interested. While this conversation was going on, Hermione, who sat opposite to me, asked me with the tone of a math teacher in my previous life, "What are you planning?" with a raised eyebrow.
"Well, I am planning to go to the library, and anyone interested can join," I turned my head casually. When I was inviting Harry, two ears were eavesdropping on our conversation with an evil grin on their faces.
I went to the library along with Neville, who tagged with me, and I took one of the advanced charms book. I felt someone was observing me. When I turned back, I saw Fred and George pretending to search for some book when they felt I turned towards them.
If I had no idea about their personalities, I would have thought they were really here for reading books. I continued to walk towards the desk with a carefree expression
When Neville and I went to the desk, we found Hermione reading a set of books intensely. I stopped Neville and hand signaled him to follow me without making any sounds. We found a table far from her sight.
I opened the book and started to look for the {Disillusionment charm} and {Finite Incantatem}. Finally, I found it and started to read about the charm. I explained it to Neville, who accompanied me to the library. I tried the spell by following the instructions in the book with a wave of the wand and said {Disillusionment charm}.
The spell worked, and I cast the counter spell {Finite Incantatem} to revert back to normal. I started to help Neville cast these spells. While I was helping him, I once again felt someone looking at me intensely. When I turned back, I saw the red twins pretending casually to cross us.
I took my pocket watch and looked at the time; it was 1:50. "Oh, shit, it's time for our next class. Neville, let's go," I said to Neville, who was still trying to cast the spell. We exited the library, and there we found Ron and Harry waiting for us.
"Why are you waiting here? You guys could have come inside," I asked them with a raised eyebrow. "Well--" Before Harry could respond, Ron signaled me with a bitter smile towards the direction where Hermione was in a hurry dashing through the corridor.
We went to the dungeon deep beneath the castle. To reach the class, students must go down a winding stone staircase, through a dimly lit corridor, and finally, down a trapdoor.
Once all four of us entered the classroom, we were greeted by shelves and cabinets lined with potion ingredients, cauldrons, and other necessary equipment.
The room was dimly lit, giving a gloomy atmosphere, and there were usually strange smells. At the front of the class was the teacher's desk and a large blackboard.
The desks were arranged for four. I sat at the back of the class, Ron followed me and sat beside me, and Harry and Neville sat opposite us. Exactly at 2:00, the door was slammed open with a loud noise, and a figure with long black robes entered the class.
