The Unicorn Encounter

It's quite dangerous to deal with unicorns in the Forbidden Forest. Unicorns are magical creatures with significant magical abilities, and if they get serious, one unicorn is enough to beat Jon several times over. So Jon can only think of some less legitimate methods.

Actually, Snape's Disillusionment Charm is very useful; as long as it's controlled well, you can quietly cut off a few strands of hair from a unicorn. Unfortunately, Jon hasn't learned this magic yet. This magic has too much destructive power, and he never thought he would use it, so he didn't take it seriously at all. But it must be said that Snape is truly a genius.

Unicorns themselves can resist most curses and damage spells, so Jon doesn't need to worry too much. As long as he makes the unicorn lose consciousness for a while, it's enough. After practicing for several nights, his hair-cutting technique has become fast and painless.

"Many obstacles." Holding a small knife in one hand and a wand in the other, Jon sneaked towards the unicorn that had been slowed down by an obstacle spell, slightly slower than the other unicorns - in front of this unicorn were two unicorns that Jon had lured away a few days ago, and now they were looking around.

But Jon was well-prepared. With a gentle wave of his wand, the tubers he had placed not far away fell from the trees and landed in the snow. Jon had split a tuber in half, so the two younger unicorns ran over when they heard the noise. The unicorn Jon had targeted stopped and waited quietly for the two young ones to return.

No wonder he had successfully lured the unicorns out every day. It turned out that there were adult unicorns watching from behind, and they were fearless. If Hagrid hadn't found the unicorn sleeping on the ground during his night patrol, Jon's plan would have been nearly flawless.

After eating the tuber, the unicorn would sleep for a short while, and Jon would just take the hair and leave. The unicorn would wake up a moment later and return on its own. The reason Hagrid had found out was that Jon had lured the same unicorn out as the day before and hadn't collected the hair. He had also made some noise while leaving, which had alerted Hagrid, who saw the unicorn lying on the ground.

The poor gamekeeper thought that some dark wizard had quietly infiltrated Hogwarts, so he started patrolling every night, forcing Jon to change his location several times.

Of course, if it weren't for the light blue dye he left on the unicorns he had taken hair from, Jon wouldn't have realized that he was luring the same unicorn out each time. Jon squinted at the two unicorns running away and, after picking up the tuber, it fell next to the unicorn that had stayed behind.

According to Helga, unicorns had little resistance to such delicious tubers. Using scents to lure them hadn't worked before, so now using physical bait shouldn't go wrong. Everything was going smoothly, and the unicorn Jon had targeted couldn't resist the allure of the food any longer. It buried its head in the snow and began to eat the tuber, swallowing it.

After a short while, the unicorn started to sway. Jon knew the potency of the drug. For this older unicorn, dizziness was probably its limit. He quickly cast an Invisibility Charm on himself and approached the unicorn.

"Gentle Breeze."

The tip of his wand created a small gust of wind, lifting the unicorn's tail hair. Jon moved in with his knife, cutting off three strands of hair from the central part. The hair on the head was a bit tricky. Jon carefully held two strands, afraid of accidentally hurting the unicorn.

As the unicorn woke up, Jon wasn't sure if his Disillusionment Charm would fool it. Perhaps it was the unicorn hair in the wand that played an unknown role, but the unicorn in front of him didn't wake up until Jon had collected the hair and sealed it in a ring. This unicorn even knelt down.

"Did I use too much potion?"

Jon bent over, intending to take one more strand as a backup, when he heard heavy breathing behind him.

...

Mr. Unicorn was very angry. He had thought that his wife and two children were just playing as usual behind him today, but he sensed two magic fluctuations in a row and didn't receive any response from his wife. So he came out of their dwelling to see if something had happened.

Sure enough!

That damn, hunchbacked wizard had done something vile to his wife, causing her to faint in the forest. Now, that damned wizard was holding a knife and bending over his wife's head.

Mr. Unicorn sprayed two streams of air and began to gather his strength.

He was determined to turn this damned wizard into a sieve today!

Jon didn't know that to the unicorn behind him, his Disillusionment Charm appeared as a vague circle of magic. He also didn't know that because of his insufficient height, he was mistaken for a hunchbacked wizard. However, he could feel the hostility from the unicorn behind him.

Listen to me! This is a misunderstanding!

Obviously, he didn't have a chance to shout this out. Mr. Unicorn's speed was fast, and if he didn't worry about his wife, he would have been even faster.

"Solidify! Armor! Many obstacles!"

The first spell was unsuccessful; the unicorn directly resisted Jon's Solidification Charm. The Iron Armor spell and the Barrier Charm did slow it down a bit, giving Jon some time to react.

He lowered his body, dodging the unicorn's deadly horn, but he was still sent flying by the unicorn's head. He plunged into the snow, and his Disillusionment Charm was forcibly released.

If it weren't for Jon wearing thick enough clothes and the snow being soft enough, he might have broken a couple of ribs. He rolled on the spot in the snow, folded the small knife and put it back in the ring, then cast another Disillusionment Charm on himself before running toward the edge of the forest.

Everything happened in the blink of an eye. Fortunately, Jon was lucky. Hagrid, who had rushed over when he heard the commotion, stopped the unicorn that wanted to chase Jon, allowing him to escape back to the castle.

At this point, going back to the dormitory was not an option. Jon endured the dull pain in his arm and ran to the eighth floor.

Reciting the password to open the study, Jon rushed in and leaned against the wall.

"Give me a place to heal!"

He said, panting.

The next moment, the study transformed, and a small table with gauze and pain relief potions extended from the wall.
