"We'll help you find the Weasleys, I'd hate for you to get lost again" Hagrid turned to look at William "you mentioned earlier that they had to buy books..."
"Yes, they're all by Gilderoy Lockhart. Recreation with the banshee, a ride with the evil spirits, vacations with the witches, trips with the trolls, trips with the vampires, a year with the Yeti and of course, trips with the werewolves, I wonder if he would be able to travel with Greyback" William stroked his chin "I'll be sure to challenge him in a duel."
Hagrid and Harry looked at each other, they both knew trouble was coming as to the collective knowledge Lockhart was a powerful wizard, of course to William this was nothing more than a bluff, he after all knew the truth.
"Then it's settled, let's go to Flourish and Blotts" ready to walk they all stepped forward until when a voice was heard from the background.
"William!"
Everyone turned to see the identity of the person, Hagrid furrowed his brow and made Harry back up a little, William was a different case right now and there was nothing he could do as this was a family case.
"Marcus" William mentioned the name of the individual in front of him.
"Who is he?" asked Harry quietly hoping no one would hear him besides Hagrid.
"he is William's brother, Marcus Rosier, the first son of the Rosier family, a former Hogwarts student and as you can imagine belonged to Slytherin, nothing good will happen if you go near him, stay behind me at all times, this guy is crazy" The tone used in Hagrid's voice let Harry know that things were not at all simple in William's life.
"What do you want?" asked William turning away from Hagrid and approaching Marcus.
"That shouldn't be the way to talk to your older brother, William. At home we were all worried about your performance in your first academic year, I was hoping for your return to teach you a couple of curses, but grandfather allowed you to go to Castelobruxo, we really were worried William."
William stared at Marcus directly, his older brother's tone of voice seemed pleasant but that was all. The truth was that everyone in the house was disappointed that he was a Gryffindor, it was likely that the curses Marcus was talking about were the ones he wished to use on him as punishment or of course maybe by second year they would want him to prove himself to be a true Slytherin within Gryffindor house. The truth was that there were a countless number of possible situations, but it didn't matter at this point, Marcus wouldn't try anything in public.
Then before William noticed, Marcus was only two steps away from him, he reached out his arm and put it over William's shoulder, he slowly crouched down until they were at the same height.
"A word of advice my little brother, don't wander away from the castle and go home straight away.... Drawing attention to yourself is not a good plan."
He patted William's shoulder a couple of times and gave him a smile, of course William at that moment felt as if he was in front of Greyback once again, he felt his whole body being squeezed and from his skin cold sweat dripped down. Marcus Rosier no mediocre wizard, that was known among all active pureblood wizards.
Marcus continued on his way, he looked at Hagrid and Harry with a smile on his face "I hope my little brother won't be a bother to you."
There was no response from the duo and Marcus didn't seem to mind, he just decided to walk leaving everyone behind as if he had never seen them at all.
<I was arrogant> William said in his mind, he clenched his fists tightly <the victory against Greyback raised my ego to the clouds, but the truth is I'm still nothing compared to real wizards>.
It was impossible to forget Marcus' cold eyes as he looked at William, for the young wizard these eyes were different from Greyback's wild eyes, Marcus on the contrary was serene and cold, as if they were two icebergs of ice.
"William?" Hagrid's voice reached the boy's ears causing him to disconnect from his thoughts and return to reality "are you alright?"
"Yes..." William scratched his head, Hagrid being one of his few friends, there was no need to worry him anymore "come on, the Weasleys must be worried about Harry and I have some shopping to do."
"I thought we bought everything besides your school books?"
"they are books, but they are not for Hogwarts, I need to buy Legeremancy and Occlumency books" William started walking leaving the duo behind who after looking at the boy's back decided to follow him.
Then as the group walked they were intercepted by the Weasleys and Hermione, Harry was glad to see them all, Hagrid looked around, but couldn't see William anywhere, the boy had become separated from the group, but at least he knew where he might be.
William arrived at Flourish and Blotts, as expected there were a lot of witches with books in their hands, they were all waiting for Gilderoy Lockhart, but that was not important for William, he had more important things to do, he went up to the second floor where he could find what he was looking for.
Many shelves with a large number of books waiting for someone to take them, Flourish and Blotts is not as big as the library of Castelobruxo, it does not have the variety of knowledge that was there, but it was enough for William at the moment. He began to walk through the shelves looking for titles that would be useful.
Guide to Advanced Occlumency, Anthology of 18th century enchantments, Guide to medieval witchcraft, Animagus, Living with legeremancers: choose your thoughts wisely.
William's books include, The Dirty Bloods and How to Brand Them, Spells and Counterspells, The Healer's Handbook, and Common Magical Ailments and Illnesses.
William carried several books that were stuffed into his expansion box, plus the books that were required at Hogwarts for second year classes, everything was ready, it was time to go home.
