Chapter 30: Hufflepuff’s Victory.

"Who was he?"

Michael looked at Liam and hesitantly replied, "He is Edward Grant, he's just few years older than us, don't worry about him. He just thinks of himself as a great person because his parents are rich and famous."

"No matter how much I look at him, I can't understand how did get sorted into Ravenclaw. His personality is very Slytherin-ish."

Michael looked at Liam dumbfounded, "Since when did you believe in such bull shit." He laughed, "Not all Ravenclaw students are nerds you know." Michael placed his hands on Liam's shoulder and said in a serious tone, "He may seem like an impulsive brute but he is very calculative person. His words and secretive action do much more damage and harm than what his punch may do. And now he may start to target you. Avoid any more trouble with him if you could. Trust me you shouldn't make him your enemy."

"Is that so? I don't talk with people like him anyway." Liam shrugged it off as nothing.

Michael eyes became worried, 'Liam doesn't know what kind of things he can do. I hope Edward doesn't take this to his heart and target Liam.'

Huge shouts could be heard from the Hufflepuff students. Cedric had caught the snitch and won 150 points for the Hufflepuff team ending the match by a difference of 120 points. It was a huge win for the Hufflepuff team.

The Ravenclaw students showed sad expressions. This was a very bad loss for them, they were sure that they would win as they were in the lead, but the luck was not on their side and the Hufflepuff seeker had caught the snitch.

"Let's go meet up with Cedric, we have to celebrate with him." Michael said while holding Liam's hand and dragging him to the stadium's ground where the players were descending from the air.

The Ravenclaw team's Quiditch captain came to the seeker who had been knocked out in the match, he was also waiting on the ground with a bit shame in his eyes. He blamed himself for this loss. If he would have not been knocked out, he could have kept Cedric from catching the snitch.

The captain of the Ravenclaw team walked towards the seeker, he noticed the shame in his eyes, "Captain… I am sorry… This loss is all on me. I promise to practice harder for the next match and will definitely win."

The seeker sobbed looking at the captain, he had tears in his eyes. The captain looked at him with a smiling face and said, "We'll all practice harder and win next time." The rest of the team mates also looked at the seeker and with stern eyes filled with determination.

Liam and Michael had reached the ground and witnessed this small but heart touching moment between the Ravenclaw students.

Cedric saw Liam and Michael coming down and went to meet them.

"That was a very great match Cedric, the ravenclaw seeker couldn't make you fall down even a single time. It was very tense watching you wrestle in the air but you were able to avoid his every move." Michael looked at the broom in Cedric's hand, "Didn't you say his broom was better than your broom, even if he had a better broom you were still as fast as him and very much more skillful. If you had the same broom as him he would never have been able to beat you." He looked at Cedric with admiration.

Cedric was very much confused himself, he doubted his own skills. He was sure that he wouldn't be able to compete with the Ravenclaw's seeker as his broom was a newer model and was better and faster than his own broom. He himself wondered how he was able to stay on par in speed with the Ravenclaw seeker.

Liam wasn't very surprised at Cedric being on par in speed with the Ravenclaw seeker because he was the one who made it so that Cedric's broom would become faster.

Cedric held his broom horizontally sighing at the condition of his broom, "I don't think I can use this broom again, its material has become brittle this broom may break any moment. I guess I overused this broom today."

Cedric looked at Liam suspiciously he remembered that Liam had asked to see Cedric's broom before the match after which his broom became faster.

Liam smiled guiltily as he knew what Cedric's gaze meant, 'I kind of knew this would happen, as the brooms materials couldn't bear the enchantments I made. The balance enchantment which were meant to hold the broom together held it for far longer than I had calculated. It was good that the broom didn't explode.' He laughed with more guilt.

'The enchantments which I did on the broom were able to a boost the broom enough to make it as good as the Ravenclaw seeker's broom but Hufflepuff didn't win because of my enchantment or a good broom, it was all because of Cedric's skill that he was able to catch the snitch.'

Cedric smiled, "I was thinking of buying a new broom anyway." He winked at Liam.

Liam also smiled at Cedric, Michael looked at the two smiling at each other he also smiled.

"Let's Go and celebrate…

After the Celebration Liam returned back to his room all tired at having a overfilled stomach. He ate a lot of food so much that the Hufflepuff students gave him the nickname 'Troll eater' as he had a very large apatite and had defeated trolls.

'Tonight was very god I enjoyed very much.' He got up from his bed and started to undress. A folded piece of paper fell from his pockets, "This…"

He bent down and picked up the folded paper, "Isn't this what Mr. Burton gave me as a gift…"

He unfolded the paper and read what was written on the paper.

"WHAT THE F***…"
