"Hey Armin, you motherfu$ker, why did you not share the girl with me?" Kerum said.
"Fuck you, why would I even share my spoil of war with you?" Armin retorted.
These two guys are hunters who recently left the city to hunt demonic beasts. In the process, they encountered a female hunter, and Kerum expressed frustration about Armin not sharing her. Despite the angry exchange, both are friends, and Kerum understands the situation. Armin's dissatisfaction led him to kill the girl, adding a dark twist to the story.
"Hey, did you see that? There's someone here," Armin said.
"As always, your senses never disappoint me," Kerum said with smile.
Both headed towards the direction, discovering a boy with black hair that reached down to his neck. What caught their attention were his unusual eyes—one red, the other blue. While these hunters were accustomed to encountering strange situations, the oddity of this sight still stunned them for a second. Despite the weirdness, they couldn't deny the boy's remarkable handsomeness. Adding to the strangeness, the boy wore old royalty clothes, which stood out in the present society.
Both of them thought this guy might be from a royal family, but they wondered why his clothes were so old. The notion that he might be lost in the forest crossed their minds, but they dismissed it instantly. Every royal member, after all, had advanced wristbands.
Consequently, they concluded that this guy was like a headless chicken, and they could catch him to sell in the slave market.
"Hey Armin, don't injure him. Let's capture him without harm so we can get a good price," Kerum said.
"Okay, I'll use my ability to gain complete control over his body, then you can knock him out," Armin replied.
This poor guy doesn't know what he's doing. It's simply suicide to attempt this because Azkar will kill him in less than a second without a chance to fight back. No matter how powerful someone might be, once they enter his mind or body, they won't even know how they died. Let's observe a minute of silence for this poor guy.
--------
Azkar was walking without a care in the world, almost like he was jogging in his garden. However, the reason behind his carefree demeanor was that he had already taken every precaution. Suddenly, he felt something attempting to enter his mind.
[Alert: Someone is trying to enter your mind.]
[Safety wall activated.]
…!
"Which idiot is in such a hurry to die in broad daylight?" he wondered. Then, he had a crazy idea, so he thought, "Why not try it?"
"Deactivate the safety wall."
As soon as he deactivated the wall, someone entered his mind. Azkar smiled like a devil and checked his mind, observing.
Poor guy was in his soul form and looks like he feeling pain he never felt in his he tried to escape but he activated the safety wall that was with his delete Authority so no matter what he cannot escape.
Observing this, Azkar snapped his fingers, instantly transforming the entire scenery of the mind. It became a simple white room, everything bathed in pure white. Azkar noticed the poor guy still enduring immense pain, with numbers being the only thing he saw.
Breaking the silence, Azkar assessed the situation realizing his guest was waiting. He then constructed a throne, reminiscent of one he had seen in a classic web series from his past life.
The throne he created was totally made of swords, nothing else.
"Hello there, buddy. Welcome to your nightmare, and don't worry; we have plenty of time," Azkar said.
Yes, in this place, the concept of time does not exist. Also, he does not lack mind attributes, so he can keep this up for a very long time.
Armin saw his surroundings had changed, and he felt relieved. Then, he saw in front of him, sitting on a throne, a person he knew very well. He thought Azkar was a headless chicken, but now he regretted his decision, finding himself in front of Azkar and unsure of what to do.
In this space, he felt normal. Yes, it was too normal because he couldn't sense his power or anything; he was like a regular person. That's it. He mustered all his courage to speak because the throne and the person sitting on it looked too intimidating.
Azkar, seeing the intimidation his guest was experiencing, tried to lighten the situation.
"Why so serious?" Azkar said with a smile, though it couldn't be considered a normal one; it was so creepy that even the devil might think twice about the situation.
"I... I... I'm sorry. Please let me go," Armin tried to request the most sincere apology he could manifest in his situation.
"..."
Azkar did not say anything; he just snapped his fingers, and a large amount of data left Armin's soul form. The data flowed towards Azkar, and in front of him, the data began to take shape. It was like a ball that started to light up, projecting Armin's memories from his birth until now. Both of them watched the memories, every part of it. As Azkar observed, his face darkened because the person in front of him could not be considered human. Armin had committed acts throughout his lifetime that went against human values.
On the other side, Armin saw his life history, and he was shocked. However, he couldn't say anything, not that he could speak without Azkar's permission. In this space, everything was data, and manipulating data in his eyes was like child's play. His life history finished, and Azkar also observed the female hunter's situation. Then he sighed.
Seeing this, Armin began to panic, but in this space, there was little he could do. Then he heard something that would be the last thing he'd hear.
"Data Absorption," Azkar said.
A black hole formed, and Armin's soul form began to convert into numerical data. He got absorbed into the black hole without a shred of resistance.
[Large amount of data detected. Do you want to save this data in Codex?]
"Yes, and after this, don't ask this kind of thing. Just save every bit of data in Codex. It's not like there's a storage limit, just adjust data in an arranged manner."
[Command Accepted]
Let's design something before going outside. He thought about when he created the fireball, then he tried the same trick to create his second skill. The first thing he did was to imagine the skill he wanted. He decided on a simple, not very mana-consuming skill because he didn't have infinite mana to spam skills.
He imagined a thread coated with mana, envisioning it to be strong and flexible. Then he received a notification from the system.
[An impossible course of action!]
[You created a skill without any chanting, runic circles, and totems.]
[Your Affinity with mana has been increased.]
[You created a new skill: Mana Thread.]
