Life doesn't make sense!!

How did I even end up here? I mean, I didn't meet any God, I didn't get any wishes, and where the hell is my system!!?

This makes no sense, but when has life ever made sense?

I was lying on the grass of my backyard, playing self-catch with a volleyball, I decided that I gotta begin somewhere, so might as well start with Shoyo's exercise. The one he showed to Natsu.

Thinking of Natsu, mom was 7 months pregnant, so the baby would arrive in 7-8 weeks. She is gonna be a March or April baby.

Mom said Dad would come back in March as well, that's when we'll finalize my elementary school. I wish they have a volleyball coach or team there, I'd get a great headstart.

I thought about the current ace players, like the current karasuno or even coach Ukai, but I found no way of finding out how to reach them or how to get them to teach me.

'That's 50 catches, now on to running.' I thought as I pushed myself up.

I was using my past life's home workout with a few changes.

Mom at first didn't like me "over pressurizing" my "baby body". As if I was a baby, I was in the prime age of childhood. I explained how I was going to be the best ace in the world, I did it comically, I mean I am a child here. She found it adorable and was all for it.

Mom did force me to join her at the park every day, something about getting me to do child-like things. I agreed wholeheartedly, Why you ask? Well, I destroyed those suckers at every game we played, I became the King. It might sound childish, but I am allowed, I am a child after all!!

I also found one of Shoyo's friends from Yukigaoka Junior High, it was Yukitaka Izumi, The setter for Shoyo's makeshift team

We became good friends and he introduced me to many of his friends which lead to me getting a big enough circle to satisfy my dear mommy.

I asked around but very few even knew what volleyball was exactly, Izumin true to his future self, loved baseball. I wasn't gonna change it, I'm already quite afraid of the butterfly effect.

I wanted to and am going to join Karasuno but giving up the chance to be besties with the Miya twins is hard. After all, I love Inarizaki, only second to Karasuno.

Fast Forward |!>!>| a month

It was March 16, 2002, and I was sitting patiently outside my house on our porch, I was wearing a jacket and a cap for the cool climate. It was 6 in the morning, Why was I here? My dad was finally coming home!! I would finally get to meet him!!

Mom had fallen asleep, finally, she needed it, she was 8 and a half months in, and the baby could come any day, stress or low amount of sleep was the last thing she needed.

I heard an engine, I got up and ran towards the gate, I had seen my dad in my memories but this was different, I was gonna see him in front of me not in my memory.

A taxi parked in front of our gate, it took a few minutes, he was probably paying, but soon enough the door opened and a man with a head of unruly bring orange hair, light skin, and well, a relatively good height stepped out. The driver also came out to remove the bag from the boot of the car, my father hadn't seemed to notice me.

He probably wasn't expecting anyone, I pushed open the gate and ran to him, I jumped and wrapped my body around him. I buried my face in his jacket as tears made their way out of my eyes, Why was I crying?

A little backstory, in my previous life I was an orphan looked after by my relatives, I never had a mom or a dad, so everything was a new experience for me too. They are real and they are my parents.

It was a warm feeling.

"Ah, Sorry." My dad said as he got pushed ahead by the force of me bumping in him, which lead to him bumping into the driver.

"T'sall good, yer son seems tah have missed ya!!" He had a heavy accent.

"Yeah, he does." My dad said as he wrapped an arm around me, I still had my face buried in his jacket. My dad quickly paid the driver and took his suitcase, he held the suitcase in one arm and me in the other.

"I didn't expect such a warm welcome Sho-kun, you really missed me?" He asked

"Of course, I did, Mom too!! We missed you a lot!!" I said as I finally looked up at him.

He had a set of forest green eyes, "Your eyes still look weird with your hair." I said.

"Hey, no one asked for your cheek." He said with seemingly false anger. He smiled as he put me down next to the door.

"Sho-kun, you have the keys to the door don't you?" He asked looking down at me. I froze and started finding anything but my dad's face very interesting. I blew out whistles, as I ignored the question.

"So you don't, well ringing the bell is the only option I guess." He was about to but his son stopped him.

"Mom hasn't gotten much sleep, she just fell asleep." I said as I held his hand.

"Ahh, I see, quite the predicament we are in." He sat down on the porch thinking, "Wanna get some meat buns from the convenience store? I'm feeling kinda hungry." He asked as he placed his suitcase close to the door.

We shut the main gate and made our way towards the close by shop that opened quite early, probably for students or salaried employees.

We reached the small shop run by an old couple, we ordered 2 meat buns and dad paid for them.

We sat right outside the shop as the morning sun was shining, enjoying the warm meat-filled buns.

"Hey Dad, is it okay for life to not make sense?" I asked him.

Hiroya looked surprised at t he question, "Your mother wasn't wrong, you are growing up fast!!" He said.

"What does that even mean?" I asked, "Mom always says that!!" I said.

"Calm down George." He said giving me a chuckle.

"Who's George?" I asked.

"He's just a curious person, don't worry about it. Life and sense you say, uh, well, those too meet very little, But those rare moments are the reason why life has meaning, it is the reason why people get ambitious. Bah, forget about it. Listen Shochin." Dad said, moving me out of his lap and putting both his hands on my shoulder. He used the "funny" nickname.

(Sochi means son in Japanese, and Chin is used as an affectionate term, like Chan. So he mixes them with my name to make Shochin. He laughed quite hard when he explained this to mom and me. Peak Dad Humour!!)

"I'll let you in on a secret, between you and me. Life is something that no one figures out, it's just a loosely attached string, of moments that take your breath away." He said.

"So you haven't figured it out?" I asked.

"Nope, neither has your mom or Oku-san selling us buns at 6 in the morning or that man running by." He said as I looked at a man, who seemed to be on his morning run.

"That does make sense." I said.

"Sure it does, just be true to yourself Japan's future Ace!!" He said as he punched my chest.

I grinned at him, "I sure am dad!!", We both shared a hearty laugh.

'Life didn't have to make sense, it just has to be lived to the very best capability of a person' I thought.

We heard my dad's phone ring, he picked up the call and put it on speaker, "Hiro, where are you!!? I can't find Sho-chan!!" I heard my mother yell, "Calm down Mom, I'm with Dad." I said.

"Huh, What? Did you two leave me, a pregnant woman alone without thinking of informing me!!? Come home now!! And where are you two anyway?" She sounded livid.

"Um, We were hungry so we came to Oku-san's shop." Dad said, with very low confidence.

"Oh, Get me a few things." She said pretty calmly.

"Sure, what do you want." Dad said as he took a bite of my bun, he had the audacity to lips, "Dad-Tax" To me.

"Figure it out Hiro, I don't know, I'm just hungry!!" She was back to being livid.

"Yeah, sure, don't worry, see you soon, love you!!" Dad said very quickly before hanging up.

He sighed as he got up, "Hmm, I'm sure she'll like the chicken bun right now." He said as he looked at me, he looked like he was thinking, "So, to be safe I'll get one of each. Right? Hm, I am right!!" He said nodding to himself, he looked quite satisfied.

'Yeah, life doesn't make sense, but I like it much more now!!' I thought to myself.
