Chapter 4

One time Hadrian was called by his father figure,who looked thoughtful and said"The sons of Adam and daughters of Eve will be arriving soon?"

Hadrian hummed and replied"I am interested in meeting them."

Aslan nodded abd said"Yes,when they arrive.I want you to get them here safetly,since I have feeling Jadis will drawn to them."

Hadrian agreed because he knew the fact Jadis wasn't someone to be feared because the women was resposible for using a spell called"The Deplorable Word". If spoken with the proper ceremonies, this word would destroy all living things in the world, except for the person who spoke it. This 'ultimate weapon' was used by Jadis, the last Queen of Charn, when she lost a civil war against her sister. Her action destroyed the remaining population of Charn and turned the world into a sterile wasteland.

Peter was 17, Susan was 16, Edmund is 13 and Lucy is 10.They were sent to live in the countryside with an old professor called Professor Digory Kirke. 

Lucy enters a random room,shuts the door behind her, spins around and stops. The room stands empty and quiet, almost forgotten. She stares...a wardrobe looms against the far wall. At the window, a fly buzzes loudly, then dies. Leaving nothing but silence.But she hears Peter counting, so she dashes to the wardrobe. She reaches up for the knob. It sticks. Lucy pulls again and the door pops open. Two mothballs roll out onto the floor. Inside, für coats hang on a bar.Lucy takes a breath and dives inside the wardrobe, leaving the door just slightly open.

A sliver of light splits the darkness. Lucy peers through the crack into the room. She backs into the coats. Layers of fur surround her as she hears Peter count"Ninety-seven..."

She puts out her hand, feeling for the back of the wardrobe. Next moment she found that what was rubbing against her face and hands was no longer soft fur but something hard and rough and even prickly and something cold and yelped"Ouch."

She pulls back her hand, then reaches out again, confused.She takes another step and hears...A crunch. She crunches forward and breath steams. Slowly, the darkness around her lifts. Lucy stops. She stares, amazed... at a pine cone hanging from a tree branch. Snow falls all around her.

A moment later she found that she was standing in the middle of a wood at night-time with snow under her feet and snowflakes falling through the air.She finds herself in a snowy wood. She is amazed at what she sees, and is completely in awe of it all.

Lucy was in awe spins in a circle, palms held out to collect the falling snowflakes.

She checks to make sure she can get back out through the wardrobe.

Lucy peers into the forest.She began to walk forward, crunch-crunch over the snow and through the wood toward the other light. In about ten minutes she reached it and found it was a lamp-post.

As she stood looking at it, wondering why there was a lamp-post in the middle of a wood and wondering what to do next, she heard a pitter patter of feet coming toward her.Being afraid she quickly stood behind the lampost.

. Lucy screams as she sees...a faun, who has a man's upper body with horns and goat legs, he had a scarf around his neck, he carries several parcels. Startled, he drops his parcels yelps"Oh."

Lucy ducks behind the lamp-post.And soon after that a very strange person stepped out from among the trees into the light of the lamp-post.

They stare at each other, equally afraid.Then Lucy looks down, where a fallen package lies. She picks it up and offers it to him saying"You dropped this..."

The faun cautiously takes it from her, Lucy asked"Were you hiding from me?

Lucy looks confused replied"English?"

Faun lied"Huh, um, n..n.. no, I..I... I didn't want to scare you."

Lucy was curious questioned"if you don't mind my asking...what are you?"

The Faun was slightly affronted answered"Why, I'm a faun! And you must be some beardless dwarf?"

Lucy laughed and said"I'm not a dwarf, I'm a girl! And actually I'm tallest in my class."

Tumnus curious questioned"But you're saying, you're a daughter of Eve?"

Lucy frowned and replied "My mum's name is Helen.

Mr.Tumnus questioned "Excuse my asking, but are you...human?"

Lucy nodded and answered"Of course."

Tumnus growing slightly serious questioned"What are you doing here?"

Lucy looking back answered"Well, I came in through the wardrobe in the spare room, and-"

Tumnus cut in"Spare Oom, is that in Narnia?"

Lucy now bring curious asked"Narnia? What's that?"

Tumnus smiled and answered"My dear girl, you're in it! Everything from the lamp post, all the way to castle Cair Paravel on the Eastern Sea, every stick and stone, every icicle, is Narnia."

Lucy slightly in awe and fear muttered"This is an awfully big wardrobe."

Tumus smiled at Lucy and with bow said"I'm sorry, please allow me to introduce myself, my name is Tumnus."

Lucy smiled and extends her hand and said"Glad to meet you,my name's Lucy Pevensie."

Tumnus stares at her hand for a moment, curious.Lucy seeing the confusion said"You shake it."

Mr.Tumnus confused asked"Why?"

Lucy shrugged and replied "Um...I don't know. People do it when they meet each other."

The faun shakes her hand and said"Lucy Pevensie, from the shining city of War Drobe in the far land of Spare Oom, how would it be if you came and had tea with me?"

Lucy wanted get back, since her sibkings would have been worried and replied"Oh! Well, thank you very much! But I probably should be getting back..."

Tumnus didn't gear any of it and said"Oh, come on! It's not every day I get to make a new friend! And there's a... roaring fire! And toast and cakes! And maybe... we'll even break into the sardines."

Lucy reluctanly said"Well, maybe for just a little while... if you have... sardines."

Tumnus smiled and said"By the bucket load,Come Along."

But while going back, Tumnus was looking around to see if someone spotted them.
