Chapter 16 Meeting The World's Finest

POV Lois Lane

Lois had been up for hours looking into this company, Morganrote. It was like it had popped up out of nowhere, the only way she even found the address was that it had a partnership of some kind with Stark.

The kid Mike Yamato was in highschool and as far as Lois could tell from public records was the only employee of this company. Her journalist instincts where screaming that there was a huge story here. Just who was this mysterious kid and how did he develop auch advanced tech when he was just a highschooler.

At breakfast she was waiting on Clark. "Smallville, you have to get up earlier. Arnt you farmboys supposed to be up at dawn." She said as he finally joined her at the table. " Sorry had a long night writing the story to send a draft to Perry." Clark responded. " It took me a while but I found the address we can drive there after breakfast it's only an hour or so away.

POV Clark

(I knew Lois was not going to let this go) Clark thought. He had reservations about this company and wanted his friend Bruce to help look into them. Also it was clear that while Mike was sociable he did not like being in the spotlight. Since Lois had found the company he should probably tag along to make sure she didn't get too enthusiastic going after the story.

The drive was peaceful out to the Morganrote complex when they arrived they were stunned by the security. a 10 ft tall reinforced concrete wall with cameras this seemed like a military installation not a kids startup. There was a buzzer on the gate when they pressed it an alarm sounded deeper in the complex.

"Can I help you?" The voice came from the speaker.

" Lois Lane and Clark Kent Daily Planet we met yesterday. can we come in?" Lois responded.

" Not today ma'am, I am busy." came back the response. " Then when?" Lois asked there was a pause. " It will be a couple of weeks Morganrote is still getting on its feet. The line went dead. and Lois was angry. "I will get that interview" She declared.

Later that night Clark made sure Lois was asleep before changing and flying out of the window. He wanted to do a bit of investigation of his own. Something was off about Morganrote and he wanted to know what. About halfway to the Morganrote complex he encountered the Batwing. Both landed outside of the walls far enough that they were out of sight of the surveillance Clark had noticed earlier that day. " So he caught your attention too?" Batman asked.

POV Bruce Wayne

After returning to Gotham Cassandra said she needed to pack. Bruce went downstairs to the batcave. He may have asked her to get closer to him but tonight he was going to do some investigating of his own. It had been apparent something was off.

Mike's Identity, it was one of cobblepots works a good one but he still knew what to look for. Stark sold him some property. The fact is that property was unused for years meant that there was no way it should be capable of producing such advanced technology. Nothing was adding up and it was bothering him. After putting on the batsuit he took off towards the complex to investigate.

Encountering Superman was not that surprising after he saw Clark at the Expo. he had a feeling Clark was also knowing something was wrong here. They landed outside of the complex farther back than Batman wanted until Superman explained that the complex had cameras and the massive concrete wall.

POV Mike

After the Fantastic Four left Mike had spent extra MP to set up an Anti Air warning system to tell him if planes where approaching. just that night he was alerted to objects rapidly approaching the complex he went outside as Superman carried Batman into the complex. Mike guessed they were trying to be sneaky and enjoyed surprising them by standing there and greeting them as if he was expecting them.

"Greetings Gentlemen I regret to inform you but buisness hours are from 5 to 8."
