Chapter 15 Fantastic Friends

POV Mike

Mike had been up early that Sunday. The factory and warehouse were complete nut he needed to get the admin building looking better. Also he had to hide the elevator so others did not learn about the underground complex. Mike might be hopeful to get along with the heroes, but he knew about AIM, Hydra The League of Assasins, cadmus, The hand, Hammer industries. All of these would gladly abuse mobile suits of they were made aware of how overpowered they really were.

Mike shuddered imagining a dead shot with access to Gundam Dynames. Or the Joker in the Jester Gundam. Knowing AIM they would use the tech to create something like the Dark Gundam. Just thinking of these possibilities game Mike a headache. Last thing he needs is a giant ultron with a dragoon system going berserk in New York.

"I have to be careful, the Mobile Suits can do a lot of good especially some of the Variations Like the Hospital Zaku warrior. Mike was thinking of variations to include firefighting and rescue work. Zn0s for under sea exploration, rescue and construction. Some of the Gundam variations from the spinoff like the one that had a camera and equipment and use by a reporter to document warzones, was also a possibility. " Gah" Mike yelled, frustrated. (Mobile Suits have the potential for so much good, but people use them just for war its frustrating.)

Kai was lost in his thoughts as he was eating breakfast. He then got a rather angry phone call from Reed Richards.

"Why didn't you invite me to see that tech yesterday?"

Reed asked.

"We tried," Mike awnsered " When we called you said something about important expiraments in the negative zone and portals to other worlds or something."

" No excuse Mike, that kind of tech I want to see." Reed responded. Mike then heard the air blowing past the phone really fast and got a bad feeling.

"Reed where are you?" Mike asked already heading for the ground floor.

"I'm a few minutes out I knew you didn't have school today so the team and I are coming to visit."

(I knew it.) "You know you are supposed to give notice beforehand, right?" Mike asked, exasperated.

"I did, I called you before we got there." came Reeds response. (Honestly, he sometimes reminds me of Sheldon from the Big Bang theory. Lots of books smarts but social graces suffer a bit.) Mike thought to himself as he walked outside to see a large jet with the 4 on it.

Mike quickly set the security automatons to stand down before they attacked and caused a huge mess. He then went out to greet his friend and meet Reeds team. (Glad I had no AA defenses up yet,) Mike thought.

As they landed the first to come say hello was Johnny Storm. Hir reputation as a people person was spot on. He had a charisma that made you just want to like the guy. He seemed more excited to go explore the beach and factory and flew off in a flash of flames.

Ben Grimm was the next to come out. He was huge and very affable. Seemed down to earth and after a few minutes asked "Can your medical device maybe help me?" Mike looked at the big man who looked like a walking rockpile."We would have to run some tests but I would be glad to look into it to see if it can be done. Do you mine if I get some samples to work with while you guys are here?" Ben agreed and went to look around the property with Mike's blessing.

Susan Storm and Reed Richards appeared next arguing. " Reed you can't just show up." "But Susy his tech is revolutionary." "And, what if he had plans what if we were intruding he might have been in Stark tower. Not everyone lives in their labs." She said that last bit a little a more heated.

Trying to diffuse the situation by saying that he had no plans and Reed and the rest of them were always welcome he was interrupted. "I get that your friends but you have to be firm with him." She explained "He might do something stupid like taking apart the wiring I your room cause his lab needs it more. Or locking himself in a lab for days. Or unleashing a plague of shadow demons." Mike's jaw dropped before looking at Reed who was looking a little embarrassed. "I sometimes get caught up in my work."

Mike finally got around to introducing himself to Susan and she responded by saying " Please call me Sue." Of course Sue" Mike responded before offering the both a tour of the factory. Reed was like a kid in a candystore. Every device from the finished product to the robots putting it together he had questions about. He was fascinated some of these machines were more advanced than his, the ideas he was getting by just being here made him want to go back to the lab. Mike chuckled a little at how excited he was.

POV Susan Storm

Sigh* (I love Reed but he can be a handful sometimes.) She thought as she watched him. She was also impressed by the facilities but she was keeping herself a bit more restrained. At least until Mike lead them to a different part of the factory that had vats of a goldish colored liquid. "These are the nanotech."Mike said proudly. Sue had so many questions and was soon acting like Reed, after all she had a degree in biochemistry and biology and was curious about how the nanotech worked.

POV Mike

Mike awnsered all their questions to the best of his ability. but they had questions that even with the knowledge of Dr J he still couldn't awnser. Eventually leaving Reed to explore the factory he asked Sue to come with him to get some medical samples from Ben. When Sue learned what he was doing she thanked him for helping one of her closest friends.

Mike simply stated "I had nothing, no way to support myself and Reed gave me a chance, he did not have to take an intrest in my work or introduce me to Stark. He and Tony are like family to me and their friends are my friends. Sue looked at him(So young, but so mature.)

Mike's face changed to shock as they found Ben Grimm and Johnny Storm. They had found the elevator to below ground and were having an argument. " Just because the kid said we could wander around downtown mean you can try to go into a locked elevator." Ben argued. "But it is so boring I'm sure he wouldn't mind" Johnny responded. Out of the corner of hos eye he saw Sue holding her head and got the feeling dealing with this group was like trying to herd cats, and felt sorry for the one who had to act as the common sense for the group.

Ahem* Mike cleared his throat. "That elevator is off limits for a reason actually leads to a basement that is unsafe to go to at this time. Maybe next time you stop by I can give you a tour."

Johnny and Ben looked shocked not even realizing they were there. Johnny turned pale as he saw the look on his sisters face.

About then the alarm started blaring and Mike looked at the cameras. He saw a car pull up to the gate with Lois Lane and Clark Kent in it and thought (What now?)
