Chapter 69: Doctor Visit

Within seconds I'm released from the heavy darkness of my husband's cloak. Blinding light surrounds me, piercing my vision, and it's difficult to get my bearings. My head continues to spin as if I were spun rapidly on a swing. It happens every time Dominic flashes me from one place to another, and I hate it. Thankfully, he keeps his arms wrapped around my waist, holding me steady. He knows I need a minute, but I can feel his anxiety. He's not concerned about me losing my balance. This is different. He's actually worried.

"Your Majesty," a male voice calls out, and I glance awkwardly to my right. "It is good to see you again."

Dr. Walsh stands only a few feet away, an older man, tall and thin, wearing a white lab coat. The smell of rubbing alcohol gets stronger as he moves closer and bows. I see the crown of his head, thick with black and silver strands and try only focusing on him as I wait for the room to stop swaying.
