Chapter 63 Two Explosions

Before the Immortals outside can come any closer, Morgan fired a barrage of arrows at the Immortals on the roofs.

In face of the wall of arrows, the Immortals let out blissful smiles. The black translucent fluid in their fist crawled upwards, covering their entire arms.

Like they were swatting flies in the air, the Immortals used their arms to swipe the arrows out of the air, looking like a bunch of playing children.

"Hah! Did she really just shoot us? Who does she think she is? A clown?" One of the Immortals thought as she caught an arrow mid-flight, and crushed it in her grasp.

Before the Immortals on the roofs could resume their pursuit, they felt an odd feeling on their footing.

Some Immortals managed to take a glimpse on how a bunch of arrows are embedded on the foundations of the buildings they were on.

A second later, every single Immortal on the roofs, crashed to the ground with the buildings they were on, causing a great deal of dust to be sent in the air.

Morgan looked at Amber, who was beside her, and said monotonously. "Cling onto me and match my pace. If you slow down, they will catch you."

Amber nodded, clinging onto Morgan, she followed her into the dust cloud outside.

Before she left, she turned around, and looked at the hole in the ground where a staircase is situated.

Where the staircase led is a tunnel, inside Rose and Miya are running for the light at the end. Chrys, who was a bit behind them with Set by his side, called out. "Miya, Rose, get back here!"

The two girls, after hearing their name get called, turned around.

After a second of thought, they did as they were told.

Set looked at Chrys with his calm red eyes, and asked. "Can you let me out now? I don't want to cower in this tunnel."

"No, and we are not going to stay in this tunnel. Miya, Rose, come to our side. I no longer have the need to be discrete." Chrys stated.

With Set, Rose, and Miya within arms reach of him, Chrys raised both his arms, and touched the ceiling of the tunnel.

A second after touching the ceiling, a golden aura spread out from Chrys' hands, and out every direction.

*Bam!*

Another moment later, a massive explosion occured shaking the city like an earthquake. A massive cloud of debris covered most of the town.

The citizens and the guests in town, all hid in the houses as a single thought flowed through their minds. "The Immortals are fighting!"

The Immortals in question, who were near the center of the explosion, emerged from the rubble with only a few scratches and bruises.

A young lady Immortal with aqua-colored eyes stood up from the rubble, and scanned the surrounding area that is filled with a dust, limiting everybody's vision.

Another lady Immortal approached her and said. "Aqua, if this is the action of the man you were talking about, then we have to capture him at all cost."

Another Immortal approached and said. "There's only a handful of people in the world who could do something like this on their own. I'm intrigued on his identity." She then let out a beautiful, yet threatening smile.

Another Immortal came over and said. "I don't care who he is. Just think of what kind off children someone this powerful could produce."

The four of them stared at each other with their predator-like smiles. They then inhaled a massive amount of air into their lungs before shouting so loud that it resembled thunder. "Sisters! Follow our voice!"

Almost immediately, every Immortal in proximity arrived at their location. Without anyone ordering, the Immortals pressed their back onto each other, forming a tight circle with everyone facing outwards.

"Ready?" One of the Immortals asked.

The Immortals replied with. "Now!"

Then, every single one of them, with their arms covered in the black translucent liquid, began to punch the air in front of them.

As they extended their fists to their fullest, the liquid in their arms, shot forward like a speeding bullet. It travelled through the dust cloud, and only stop after slamming into something, mainly buildings, rocks, trees, people, the normal things.

Although it destroyed everything it hit, the fluid had one purpose. It was to catch the dust particles in the air, and make the Immortals' vision clear.

After a few seconds of punching the air, one of the Immortals yelled. "Over there!" She then pointed at the direction where Set, Miya, Rose and Chrys are running.

The Immortals let out a bunch of beautiful and intimidating smiles as they looked at Chrys' group.

Feeling the intense glares behind them, Chrys turned around as he let the others continue.

Chrys firmly planted himself on the ground as he stared down the Immortals with his golden eyes.

The female Immortals then all smiled in excitement as they matched Chrys' gaze. They then cheered to themselves.

"Oh my, what a strong glare!"

"It must be him!"

"His everything I imagined!"

"Oh, what's with this aura?!"

"Although he doesn't reek of blood, the way he carries himself tells me otherwise!"

"Oh, how many people did he kill to have such an attractive and powerful aura of death around him~?!"

Before the Immortals could do anything beside fantasize about Chrys, a massive block of earth raised itself from the ground infront of Chrys, blocking the Immortals view of him, causing them to jeer at it.

Chrys once again placed his hands on the earth block, and made his aura flow through it.

A moment later, the block exploded, causing another earthshaking feeling through out town.

As another dust cloud covered the place, every other Immortal in town looked at the second dust cloud within the span of a minute after the first one.

The Immortals stopped whatever they were doing, and stared at the massive dust cloud with blissfilled smiles.

On top of a tower, a male Immortal with grey hair is sitting in a chair, casually sipping some tea before the second explosion shook the tower, sending some of his tea flying into the air.

The man masterfully caught every single drop of tea that was spilled within a single breath.

The man stood up from his chair, and looked out the window with the cup of tea still in his hand.

The man then casually spoke. "I feel like I should say something wise or cool..."

"Ah, fuck it!" The man continued.

The man's face then revealed a joyful smile as the man, and every single Immortal, who watched the second dust cloud, had one single thought flowing in their mind. "Someone noteworthy is here!"

And almost immediately, every Immortal, including the grey-haired man, ran towards the second dust cloud like a bunch of hungry predators.

Some of Immortals, who were initially heading for the source of the dust cloud, stopped mid-way. For they saw something that caught their eye, it was Morgan and Amber running away from the dust cloud.

Once the Immortals met gazes with Morgan's emotionless eyes, they immediately knew what she was doing.

As if to confirm their thoughts, Morgan drew her bow, and fired at the female Immortals. Like before, the Immortals blocked the arrows with their arms covered in the black translucent liquid.

And also like before, Morgan caused the building, the Immortals were stood on, to collapse. But the few who were running on the street, continued their pursuit towards Morgan.

Morgan prepared to shot them full of arrows, but suddenly, one of the Immortals began to punch the others to the side.

The Immortal is dressed in white blouse, very reminiscent of what Morgan is wearing. Her hair, a shade of orange-brown, and her eyes, a bright orange.

"Celine...?" Amber asked herself as she looked at the Immortal that helped them.

After seeing that Celine has pushed the other Immortals to the side, and was now standing infront of them with an arrogant expression.

Morgan fired an arrow at her, only missing her unflinching face by only a few inches.

While still looking very smug, Celine said. "Made you miss."

Morgan met her statement with a blank stare.

Suddenly, Chrys approached from behind with Set, Miya, and Rose.

"Get a move on, you two." He said as he ran past the two women and also Amber, who immediately ran with them.

With the group reunited, the Immortals were in hot pursuit from behind while using every footing they can, also known as buildings, paths, stalls, and trees.

With the Immortals closing in, Set calmly said to the group. "Let me out."

Without looking back, Chrys replied. "No, you'll just fight aimlessly again."

Set then calmly said. "They will reach us at this point."

Chrys continued to run ahead of the group without saying a word.

"Let me out, Chrys." Set calmly repeated as he raised his right arm that was still encased in metal.

After hearing his name get called, Chrys looked back at him, and stared at Set's calm, yet determined face.

Chrys let out a sigh before saying. "Fine. Come over here."

Set ran into the front of the group where Chrys was at. He extended his encased right arm as Chrys reached for it with his hand.

Then suddenly, before Chrys could touch Set's arm, his body swayed to the side as a female Immortal, that seemed to have come from one of the building to the side, drop kicked him on his side.

The Immortal and Chrys continued to be carried away from the group and through a building.

Set then moved towards the Rose's side, and raised his right arm as another Immortal from the side released an axekick on him. Set was then pinned to the ground from the force of the Immortal's kick.

Seeing as how they were slowly being picked off one by one, Morgan monotonously said to the girls. "Run with all your might, and head for the ship on your own. We'll meet you there."

Morgan and Celine then stopped running, and turned around while the three girls continued to run.

Set, who was still pinned to the ground, was then kicked by another Immortal on his side that was still wrapped in badages.

Without even letting out as so much as a groan, Set was sent flying off to the opposite side of where Chrys was sent.

He seemingly got crushed as the building he was sent into, crumbled to the ground after he was sent through it's walls.

The female Immortals then focused they're attention towards Morgan.

Although Morgan fired arrows at them, they eventually got close due to their numbers and strength.

Morgan transformed her bow into it's spear form as she parried the Immortals' attacks as she made her way to the side, leaving Celine alone.

Celine casually stood there as an Immortal asked her. "Judging by your appearance, you are one of our sisters, aren't you?"

Celine entered her stance, a blank translucent liquid covered her arms like the Immortals before her as she replied while looking extremely arrogant. "Never was. Never will be."

Meanwhile, after having been sent through a couple of buildings, Chrys emerged from a pile of rubble without so much as a scratch or even a pebble on his body.

The Immortal that kicked him also emerged from the rubble with only minimal injuries.

"Hmm..." Chrys then calmly took in his surroundings as more female Immortals poured into the place he was in, all while wearing a calm and collected expression.
