Xia Hongyi chuckled seeing his daughter almost panic. "Haha! Yue'er, it's okay. I do not mind. Though I wonder how will Che'er cope up with you? After all, every man wants an obedient wife. While you can be obedient, I do apologize but you don't have the qualities of a perfect wife. Most people have been after you because you are beautiful, Yue'er. But you lack the skills of a perfect wife."

"W-what d-do you m-mean?" Xia Qingyue's whole body trembled, shocked that her father chose this time to bring up her insecurities. It's not like she wasn't aware of her flaws. It's just she was trying to ignore them and was in her own little blissful world where her husband will ignore her flaws as well.

Xia Hongyi leaned back into his seat as he struck a thoughtful look. "I am your father, Yue'er. While spoiling you is my duty, teaching you is also my duty. Though I failed miserably there. When your mother left us, you cried your heart out and then eventually became an emotionless doll. It was technically my fault. Because as a father, It was my duty to look after you and Yuanba, my children. But I ran away from you guys, as even looking at you two reminded me of her, I indulged myself in my merchant work. I looked for several excuses just to stay away from home."

"What are you getting at, father? I can't follow…" Xia Qingyue asked, not being able to understand what Hongyi actually meant.

Hongyi out right ignored her question as he went on. "Say, Yue'er. Do you know how to cook? Do you know how to clean? Do you know anything about sewing? Do you even know any courtesy? Any social etiquettes? Can you tackle a house guest?"

Xia Qingyue shook her head as she answered Hongyi's questions only by a gesture. She didn't trust her voice right now. But the first thing Xia Dongling was told to was not trying out her weapon but it was to stabilize her cultivation. After Xiao Che opened all of her profound entrances and gave several pellets which were sufficient enough for her cultivation to jump up at least two small realms, she sat in a lotus position and started cultivation.

Just as Xiao Che waved his hands, a rune appeared under Xia Dongling and the profound energy in the air started getting denser and better. It was one of Xiao Che's creations.

After he found out that the profound energy in this city was a lot thinner than compared to other places. In fact, he knew that the profound energy in this planet is a lot thinner than higher planets.

So he found a counter for it. He created a rune that swallows up all the profound energy in the area and another one that lets you use all profound energy saved up by the other rune. It was a cheat but Xiao Che loved cheating.
