20 A Fruitful Breakfast!

After Lingxi got dressed up, Xiao Che told her the deal he had with Qingyue. Not gonna lie, Lingxi was a little upset when she heard that HER man had to act close to another woman that is most definitely not her. She immediately threw her embarrassment aside and kissed Xiao Che on the lips rather passionately.

Xiao Che who suddenly got kissed, Although surprised, kissed her back fervently. Thinking that it was a way to adjust her jealousy, Xiao Che fulfilled her wish. After a round of kissing and hugging, They set out for the breakfast table. The 'breakfast table' they are talking about is in Xiao Lie's pavilion. Unlike many cultivators who don't understand the importance of 3 meals a day, Xiao Che does and he made sure that it is drilled inside Xiao Lie's brains. So, they had been used to eating food together on the dining table for quite some time now.

This probably has been said before that Xiao Mansion is large. Although working with a large mansion, Xiao Che with Lingxi in tow met up with Qingyue and Dongling. Lingxi was clinging to Xiao Che's arms and Dongling was walking right behind Qingyue.

When both the ladies met, the temperature of the surroundings instantly started becoming cold and chilling. Qingyue was glaring straight at Lingxi who was kindly staring back at her. Qingyue didn't bother putting her killing intent to it as she knew that Xiao Che would dispel that. But even now, Xiao Che protected Dongling and Lingxi from her aura. Because if he didn't then by now Lingxi would be heavily injured and Dongling would be just mincemeat. Qingyue's cultivation was an entire Profound Realm higher than Lingxi whose cultivation was an entire Profound Realm higher than Dongling.

Raising his pressure a bit, Xiao Che made the surroundings get back to a normal state. "Yue'er, I don't like you trying to bully my family members. Please refrain from trying that again. Especially when they could be seriously injured if I hadn't protected them."

Although there were no threats or anything in Xiao Che's voice, Qingyue still refrained from glaring at Lingxi whom she thinks is trying to steal her man. Qingyue was trying to be a good wife by listening obediently to her husband. He is hers. This harlot better back off. Aunt or not, doesn't matter.

Meanwhile Xiao Lingxi felt sick. No, this has nothing to do with Xia Qingyue. Although she has no idea why Qingyue lashed out on her, Lingxi felt sick at her own powerlessness. The feeling of having no powers at hand, she didn't pay any heed to this before, but now that she wants to stand besides her man, it makes her feel sick. She regrets being loose when Xiao Che wanted to train her. She will have to ask him to train her again and this time, she will do the drill with complete determination unlike half-assing it like last time. It will be a pain in the ass if he asks why.

Sighing slightly, Xiao Che said. "Let's not waste anymore time here. Grandpa and father-in-law are waiting for us. Let's go."

Saying so, Xiao Che left. Lingxi and Qingyue took a glance at each other and this time, Qingyue didn't bother trying anything as she didn't want to piss off Xiao Che.

Both of them then followed Xiao Che like obedient little wives. Dongling sighed. She could feel her life getting more hectic but interesting.

And did Lingxi have a relationship with the Young Master?? They are aunt and nephew by relation..yes. But are they romantically connected though?

Once sighing and shaking her head, Dongling followed them to Xiao Lie's pavilion. She is only a maid, it is not her place to think up a storm.

Xiao Che and the rest reached Xiao Lie's pavilion. Xiao Lie, Xia Hongyi and Xia Yuanba were sitting at a big table right in the garden of Xiao Lie's pavilion.

Just when Xia Yuanba saw the people coming in, he exclaimed. "Brother-In-Law!!!! Sister!!!! Sister Lingxi!!!!"

He jumped from his seat and went to try to bear hug Xiao Che who was having none of it. The guy was big and all, he felt that Yuanba could crush him with his arms alone. Xiao Che wasn't gonna deal with free full body pain.

Xiao Che swiftly dodged the hug and said. "Hey Yuanba, how are you doing?"

Even though Xiao Che dodged his hug, Xia Yuanba wasn't deflated. He cheered on. "I am doing great, brother-in-law!!!"

They all then greeted the elders which obviously are Xiao Lie and Xia Hongyi. Although Xiao Che was a tad bit hesitant to properly greet Xia Hongyi, he did it graciously under Xiao Lie's watchful eyes. Let it be known that Xiao Che doesn't like Xia Hongyi one bit.

They all then sat down on the breakfast table. Xiao Lingxi and Xia Qingyue both sat beside Xiao Che, taking both of his sides. Xia Yuanba who wanted to sit with Xiao Che only pouted.

Considering that Xia Qingyue wasn't used to eating meals like a normal person, let alone three meals a day, Xiao Che took it upon himself to point the good sides of it to her. "Yue'er, While you aren't used to eating food anymore and that a cultivator such of your calibre doesn't need to eat food for living, You should practise eating three meals a day. It could prove nutritious to your body and help you in your daily routine."

Although she wasn't that keen on eating three meals a day, she will listen obediently. After all, it's her husband's advice. How could an obedient wife as Qingyue not listen to her husband's advice?

The menu was pretty ordinary for ancient chinese cuisine. A bowl of warm rice porridge, steamed dim sums and dumplings. Pretty conventional menu but it was a perfect menu considering their times.

They all ate food while conversing among themselves. Xia Dongling, already getting used to her new stature, served Xiao Che and then stood behind him, tending to his needs. Only Xia Hongyi and Xia Yuanba were the ones who genuinely needed food for survival, the rest of them ate for the sake of food.

Xia Hongyi is an ordinary man in this cultivation world. As a merchant, no one noticed his rather low cultivation and talents. He was only at the [4th of Elementary Profound Realm]. Once veins are awoken it will take one night's time to break into the Emperor Profound Realm, or even possibly the Tyrant Profound Realm.

Even amongst the Tyrannical Emperor's Divine Vein's wielders, Xia Yuanba's ones are special. That is because he is the child of Xia Dongxue or Yue Wugao who possessed the Divine Stainless Body.

Now only to the ways of awakening the Divine Veins…The way to awaken these Divine Veins is to have the heart of a tyrant and the desire to become an emperor and want to possess power so much that it outweighs all other aspirations.

But if one is incapable of awakening them then they will need to put in 10 times the effort in order to break into the Nascent Profound Realm and will never break into the True Profound Realm.

It is beyond impossible for Xia Yuanba who is extremely kind and innocent by nature to have the heart of a tyrant. Let alone the heart of a tyrant, Xia Yuanba has the heart of a saint. Yuanba also doesn't have any desire to become an emperor.

Xia Hongyi smiled at his son-in-law. "Alright Che'er, you talk to Elder ahem Clan Master Lie for now, I will catch you later. I will spend some time with Yue'er for now."

Nodding at his father-in-law and duly ignoring pouting Yuanba, Xiao Che went along with his grandpa to Xiao Lie's study. A moderately big room filled with only a bunch of books, scrolls, shelves, table and chair. Both Xiao Lie and Xiao Che took a seat at one of the tables.

Xiao Lie started out. "Even before I took control of the clan, I knew that the Xiao Sect would send some of their people to recruit people for the Xiao Sect. At first, they were going to send the 4th son of the current sect master who is named Xiao Kuangyun. I did some quick digging up after him and found out that he is one womanizing bastard. I was honestly scared thinking about him coming here. Given his reputation, He would clearly try something for Xi'er or even Qingyue. That would have been one hot mess."

Studying Xiao Lie's words and expressions, Xiao Che said. "Judging by your undertone of relief and usage of past tense, I take it as the Xiao Sect isn't sending Xiao Kuangyun anymore."

Sighing in evident relief, Xiao Lie said. "Yes, Following my takeover as the Clan Master of Xiao Clan, they are gonna send someone else now. Most probably a sect elder. I just wanted to tell you this and I will probably need your help when they come by unless you are planning to go to New Moon Palace sooner."

"No, I am planning to stay for another month before I set out on my journey. I think Lingxi will probably want to go with me too and Chu Yueli, Qingyue's master, will take her back to her sect by that time." Xiao Che shook his head.

Xiao Lie hummed. "You two already know the truth. So, I don't have any reason to stop your relationship. Infact, I support it. Just keep my daughter happy, Che'er. As her father, that's all I ask of you. And about Qingyue, I leave the ball in your court. You and Qingyue decide what you are gonna do with this marriage. Now if you excuse me, I have some clan work to do."

Xiao Che knew a dismissal when he heard one. He walked out of Xiao Lie's study, already thinking of ways to train Lingxi, Qingyue and Dongling.
