“Thank you, but aren’t you cold?” Percy asked. “It’s almost winter, and the temperature is getting much lower by the day.”

Rohan shook his head. “I’m wearing my turtleneck, a thick pair of jeans, and boots. Besides, I’m an alpha. I’ll be fine.”

An alpha’s natural body temperature was generally higher than that of a beta or an omega. Percy smiled at Rohan, and Diego couldn’t deny he was irritated by the sight. He might be great in social settings, and he was definitely a better conversationalist in comparison to Rohan, but the other alpha was more observant and caring. Diego wasn’t angry at Rohan, though. He couldn’t be, especially since Rohan was wrapping an arm around his waist and tugging him closer. Rohan was damn charming and attractive in his own way, and Diego couldn’t deny that. Suddenly, he felt uncharacteristically shy about his close proximity to Rohan, and he quickly attempted to lighten the atmosphere by snickering at the other alpha.

“I’m an alpha, too. Remember?”
