Chapter 8

"You don't even tell me about my mother or why I can't go outside!"

After hearing these words, Oberyn's didn't showed his usual carefree and cheerful self but a sad and sorrowful one.

"BECAUSE ITS DANGEROUS!"

Oberyn shout voice wants one that was produced because of anger but one filled with pure frustration. This sudden shout silenced Jason completely.

"I know that you want to go outside. I also want you to go and experience your life as a normal child. But you just can't do so."

"There are too many people that wants to do bad things to you son. And I won't endanger your life even if that means that you hate me."

After hearing these words Jason understood that Oberyn opinion about letting him outside wouldn't change that easily.

"Then for how long! or are you planning to never letting me go outside!"

Jason shouted frustrated towards Oberyn.

"If its in order to keep you safe, then yes. I won't let you go outside forever!"

Obery answered with a firm and loud voice towards Jason.

"Th-"

Jason tried to refute. However, just when he was trying to say something to Oberyn, A voice came through from the entrance of the tent.

"That problem, this lowly servant can solve it."

Hearing this voice, Jason instinctively tried to look towards the source of the voice. However, even before he was able to see towards the entrance of the tent, Oberyn grabbed his spear and pulled Jason behind him immediately.

"Don't be afraid as I mean no harm"

The person said. Jason who reacted was finally able to see the person. The source of the voice was a slender young woman with waist-length, reddish hair, and dull blue eyes. This young woman was wearing a red cape and a red dress that was simple and had no flashy design or decorations, however even though the dress didn't have any patterns or decorations at all the dress added a mysterious charm to the young woman.

"Beautiful"

Jason said unconsciously. While staring at the woman in daze stunned by the woman beauty. However, this didn't last long as Oberyn voice made him react.

"WHO ARE YOU?"

Oberyn said while holding his spear.

"Fear not, as I mean no harm."

Said while approaching Jason and Oberyn. However, before she was able to reach them Oberyn pointed his spear to the young woman throat.

"I will not ask again. Who are you?"

Asked Oberyn.

"My name is Kurisu"

Kurisu answered to Oberyn's question while looking at Jason who was behind him.

"I didn't ask for your name. You know what I meant when I asked who you are. Answer now."

Asked Oberyn still holding his spear towards Kurisu.

"Myself is just a red priestess."

Answered Kurisu with her usual indifferent and emotionless voice.

"How did you get here and why?"

Oberyn asked.

"Of course, with the help of the lord of light."

Said Kurisu.

"And I'm here to assist and help my chosen one."

Kurisu said while looking at Jason, ignoring completely the spear that was almost touching her throat. However, even after hearing her answer Oberyn didn't put down his spear and still had a fierce look in his eyes.

"I don't believe you. And even if what you said is true, I won't allow it."

Said Oberyn.

"You think I don't know about the people of your kind? Do you really think that I don't know about how your people has messed with the heads of the people that you said were the chosen one?"

"I heard and know about many nobles, lords, and even kings that were ruined because of your people *assist*."

"I saw lords hiring mercenaries like us to kill innocents because your lord of light wanted to do so. I heard about fathers killing their own daughters and sons because your kind told them that it was the only way."

Oberyn's spear that wasn't touching Kurisu before now it touched her throat making a drop of blood drop.

"Then, allow me to just solve his problem."

Said Kurisu looking at Jason.

"And how are you going to do that?"

Said Oberyn with a mocking voice.

"I just need to touch his face."

Kurisu said why extending her hands towards Jason.

"I will give you one chance, try something funny and I will kill you."

Oberyn said. After these words Oberyn made Kurisu wash her hands and made her put a piece of cloth on her mouth so she can't spit or touch Jason with her lips directly in order to prevent any type of poisoning attempt.

Then, the moment of the truth came. Kurisu kneeled before Jason allowing Jason to finally see her properly. His eyes and Kurisu eyes met each other making Jason even more stupefied at how beautiful the woman in front of him was. He saw her white flawless skin, her beautiful hair, and her eyes that were almost like sapphire that didn't showed any kind of emotion making Kurisu look like a goddess and making him think that the woman in front of him was too perfect and beautiful to even be called a human. However, this didn't last long as Kurisu touched his face with both hand of her hands touching each cheek.

"Warm"

Jason thought to himself, feeling the warm of the hands of Kurisu on his cheeks. Filled with the pleasant feeling Jason closed his eyes unconsciously. This moment almost felt like heaven to Jason who was caged like an animal during his whole life in this new world came. However, this beautiful moment didn't last long as Kurisu retracted her hands. Then, she stood up and took a few steps back. Soon after Kurisu did this, Jason opened his eyes.

However, what Jason didn't expect was that as soon as he opened his eyes Oberyn hugged him tightly.

"Dad?"

Asked Jason. However, there was no answer Oberyn just kept hugging him. This made Jason confused as he didn't know just what happened. Kurisu who saw Jason confusion walked towards him and gave him a little mirror. Using the mirror Jason saw his reflection only to see that his purple eyes were now black in color.

"Thank you, I really thank you."

Oberyn who stopped hugging Jason said to Kurisu.

"Then, I shall take my leave."

Said Kurisu walking towards the exit of the tent. However, before she reached the exit, she looked at Jason with a slight smile on her face.

"Thank you for the compliment. I will return in future to assist you if you allow me to."

Kurisu said before she left the tent. Jason quickly ran towards the exit to chase Kurisu. However, when he reached the exit, Kurisu figure already disappeared.
