The Flame and The Hothead [1]

I stood against a tree and smoked a cigarette waiting for Aubrie to show up. I blew the smoke out of my mouth and thought smiled.

"You seem to be cheerful. Aubrie on your mind?" Kyu-Pit asked.

"Not gonna lie, yeah she is. Her excitement when I said we would do something fun today brought joy to me. She is taking her sweet time getting ready though." I said and took another puff from my cigarette.

I heard someone walking up then looked to my right. It was Aubrie in a red crop top and black shorts. She smiled at me and held her hand out. As a fellow smoker sometimes, I knew she wanted a puff of my cigarette. I handed her my cigarette.

"I wish I could have brought my bong but I left it at home. Fuck we could have gotten so fucked up tonight." Aubrie groaned softly and took a puff of my cigarette.

"I mean, after today we can...stroll back to your place and get fried together." I chuckled and crossed my arms.

"Mmmm...I like the sound of that." Aubrie smiled. "So...what do we have planned before we go back to my place and get high as shit?"

"I've got a ton of stuff planned. So first we are gonna hit up the malls for a few then after we get your stuff to your house, we are gonna go smoke for a bit at the Outlook and after that we are most definitely hitting up the Karaoke or the Nightclub-"

"Karaoke. I don't want to go to another nightclub. That event that happened seven years ago just..made me dislike nightclubs." Aubrie said.

"Alright the Karaoke then and after all that is over, we are gonna crash at your house and get faded." I said and smiled. "Sound good?" .

"Do you even have to ask? Fuck yeah it sounds good!" Aubrie said then put out the cigarette.

"Then let's go." I chuckled and walked off.

She followed me and began to make small talk with me as we made our way to the mall. I put my hands in my pockets, listening to her talk and occasionally responding back to her. The mall wasn't too far off from where we were. We made it there in roughly around ten minutes.

"I don't know when was the last time I went shopping. How much do you have on you?" Aubrie asked.

"Enough to satisfy your every need." I smiled and looked at her. "You shouldn't worry about spending too much, shop till you drop."

Aubrie looked happy then grabbed my arm, dragging me to the jewelry store. "If that's the case then I'm most definitely going big."

Kyu-Pit watched and smiled then vanished for a bit.

Aubrie looked at all of the different jewelry and didn't know what to pick. I looked around also then looked looked at a necklace with a red gemstone on it. Aubrie walked to me and looked at it as well.

"That's $500,000 and the most expensive thing here." Aubrie said.

"This is our most prized Red Onyx Necklace. The chains are made from pure gold and the Ruby was found deep within a dungeon. It shines brightly in the moonlight." The worker said.

"Do you want it?" I asked.

Aubrie looked at me then back at the necklace. By nature she said yes, but she was a little hesitant. "Are you sure you want to buy this one for me? I can always pick something cheaper."

"Don't worry about it. It's gonna be fine. I'll get it for you." I smiled.

"No no, we are co-workers, but I decided to take her out to do something fun." I said then watched the worker package the necklace.

"Ahh I see. Just being a good friend huh. Seems like you just want to impress her." The worker chuckled.

I looked at Aubrie then smirked. "Maybe I am. May never know."

I paid the worker using a scanner that I could just put my Lover Finder on and took the bag from his hand. "Yeah really, now let's go hit up more stores."

I held the bag and we went off to the next store, the clothing store. We entered the clothing store and she immediately went to look around. I walked around then noticed there were mostly women in the store. The few guys that were in the store just waited for their women to get done shopping. I looked at Aubrie and smiled as she was picking out clothing. I heard one of the guys whistle to call me over to them. I walked over to them.

"You're Leon right?" One guy asked.

"Yeah I am." I nodded.

"And you're on a date with that chick over there? Aubrie Acacia?" He looked a bit surprised. "How did you score her? She's like one of the baddest bitches in Damselt aside from Florence and Clarissa."

I looked at him then shrugged. "I'm just built different I guess. While yes, we are on a date it isn't like I'm fucking her." I chuckled.

"Bro you've got to hit her. Word on the street is she's got that gorilla grip." The man chuckled.

I rose an eyebrow then placed my hand in my jacket pocket. "Thanks...for the tip."

"She might be hot but she is a total slut." The other guy chuckled.

The two laughed and began sweating profusely. Their laughs turned into pants.

"Geez it's hot as hell in here all of a sudden." The first guy said. "Hey babe! We're gonna step outside it's hot in here!"

"Huh- O-Okay...I mean it feels nice to me in here." The woman shrugged and watched her man and his friend leave.

I smirked then stopped projecting my body heat in that specific area. "Even if she is one...She's happy..and that's all I care about."

I leaned against the wall and watched her pick out clothes. She did take a while, but with so many options in the store I can see why it did take her a while.

She finally picked the clothes that she wanted and I walked to the front with her to pay for the clothes. She set the clothes on the counter, and got them all scanned and bagged. I paid for the items then took all the bags from the worker then we left the store. She had some bags in her hands as well, not wanting me to carry all of them. People looked at me and Aubrie. They were amazed at the amount of bags we had. For Aubrie this was nothing, but for everyone else this was a lot.

"I think this should be enough for one day. We should get these dropped off at my house and get on with the date." Aubrie smiled.

"Yeah, but one issue...I didn't come here with a car. Kinda came in this world empty handed. I don't even have my own place yet." I smiled nervously.

"That's fine. I don't usually use cars either since everything is conveniently walking distance." Aubrie smiled.

"I mean I could buy a car, it won't be much but I imagine getting a car here should be easier than Earth. I do have my license and such." I said.

"We can do that after we drop my stuff off." Aubrie said.

"Alright." I smiled and nodded.

We got Aubrie's things dropped off at her house after walking 30 minutes from the mall to her neighborhood. Her house was a two story home and in a pretty good neighborhood. She was doing really well for herself.

"Alright to the dealership to get a car." I said then checked my Lover Finder.

We walked to the Damselt Dealership and made some small talk as we went there. She was mainly talking about how she was enjoying herself and how much she really loved being on a date again. I smiled as I listened to her. Her happiness made me happy.

We finally made our way to the dealership and walked inside. We waited until someone was available to help us get a vehicle. We waited about 10 minutes before someone was able to help us. We sat in an office and the man was checking if we were eligible enough to get a car. Everything checked out and I was able to get a deal for a nice blue convertible. Aubrie looked excited and we ended up getting the car.

We got in my new car then I started it up and I let down the roof with a click of a button. I put the car in drive and drove off.

"I can't believe how easy it is to get a car here. I guess since credit doesn't exist in this world, vehicles are very easy to obtain." I smiled as I drove down the street.

"Yeah, it was a quick process as well. Maybe I should invest in a car." Aubrie smiled.

Aubrie put on some music as we drove to the Scenic Outlook.

I parked the car and turned the car off. We got out the car. We made our way up the stairs and went to a table to sit down. Aubrie looked out into the distance and I placed my hands in my pockets, looking out into the distance as well.

"It's been so long since I've gotten a good date. For a while I've been with guys for sex because I just...I don't know...I wanted to know what it felt like again. I mean besides Shiro, you're the only guy who has actually given me a good date." Aubrie looked at me. "Also, I felt...so much nostalgia when I was on this date. I don't want us to just hang out for the day. I'm off for the next couple of days...Let's keep hanging out for a few days. I'll let you crash in my place too."

I looked at her and smiled then closed my eyes. "Sure. I'll hang with you for a few days. I got nothing else better to do." I shrugged and took out two cigarettes then handed her one.

She smiled happily and took the cigarette happily. I lit her cigarette up first then lit mine up. "It's so nice having a smoking buddy as well again. Ashley used to smoke with me from time to time."

"I only recently started smoking out of stress, but now I do it because it calms me down plus it allows me to maintain control over my abilities. But I do need something stronger than flavored cigarettes." I said and blew the smoke into the air.

"Really then you'll love to hit my bong. Come on this cigarette won't be enough to get something happening although it does help with calming me down." Aubrie smiled and blew the smoke from her mouth.

"We can push the karaoke to tomorrow so I can try that bong. I'm curious now." I smiled at her.

"Fine by me, trust me, after one puff you'll be a goner." Aubrie smiled and sat back in her chair.

"I'm trying to get faded, maybe it'll make me forget about everything around me for a while." I said.

"Oh it will, and it'll make you feel other things too." Aubrie smirked.

I rose an eyebrow and smirked at her. I finished my cigarette then put it out. "Really now.."

"Yeah..." Aubrie looked at me, biting her bottom lip.

I leaned forward against the table. "What will it make me feel..?"

Aubrie finished her cigarette and put it out then leaned forward against the table. "You'll just have to find that out yourself, but I can guarantee that we will be hitting that bong a lot to get that feeling going every night."

"Yeah..?" I blushed slightly and smirked.

"Mhm..." Aubrie looked into my eyes. "Come on, let's go back to my place and hit it."

I stood up. "Alright let's go."

I parked my car in the garage of her home after hitting up the mall so I could get more clothes for the days I'll be spending at Aubrie's place. We got out the car then I got my items and we headed inside. We walked to the living room and she went to the closet to get her bong and her weed. I sat on the couch and watched her load up the bowl with some weed. She sat beside me then set the bag on the table. She grabbed her lighter then lit up the edge of the bowl then began to take a hit out of her bong. She took out the bowl then fully inhaled and exhaled after a few seconds and coughed. She put the bowl back into the bong.

"This shit is strong." Aubrie coughed and smiled, handing the bong to me.

I took it and took a bud of weed then loaded the bowl up just as Aubrie did. I took the lighter and watched Aubrie get up to put on some music. I lit up the bowl and began to take a hit as well. I took the bowl out of the bowl then inhaled complete and my body began heating up a bit then I exhaled and coughed. I had a few tears rolling down my cheeks. "Geez...that shit is really powerful."

Aubrie smiled and sat beside me again. "Didn't I tell you? You gonna continue or are you gonna bitch out of it?"

"Let's keep going." I smiled.

She smiled and nodded. "Good, let's get faded!"

We ended up smoking for a good hour or so and we were out of it. I looked at Aubrie and noticed her munching down on the pizza I had ordered. She giggled softly.

"You were coughing so much.." Aubrie said as she stuffed her face with pizza. She looked at me and giggled. "Stop staring at me.."

I blinked then poked her face. "Shiiit...you're not fake."

Aubrie leaned forward a bit and I blinked again. I held her cheeks then she kissed my lips. I ended up kissing back subconsciously. We ended up having a ten minute makeout session. Aubrie pulled away and bit her bottom lip.

"Whoa...that felt sur-" I began to mumble a bit then lowered my head, closing my eyes.

"L-Leon?" Aubrie looked at me. She noticed I had fallen asleep. She smiled and began to munch down on more pizza as I slept and watched cartoons on the TV.
