Mission 103: A NEW WORLD

Taejoon, Mark, Jaehyun, Jihoon, Hyunwoo, and Yeonjun K-Pop brotherhood formed when the members met at the K-Pop agency. All aspiring trainees worked hard to fulfill their dreams of debuting in the music industry. With similar goals and a shared passion for music, they quickly bonded and formed a tight-knit bond.

Taejoon, Mark, Jaehyun, Jihoon, Hyunwoo, and Yeonjun had made it through the audition process, and now it was time for them to begin their trainee period. The group came to SLE that morning at 8 am to sign that contract to be officially a part of the SoundLab family and start their journey as a group. The next day, they began the rigorous training regime they had to follow in the coming days at the agency. The days were long, starting at 6 am and often not ending until late at night. The trainees were pushed to their limits, undergoing vocal training, dance lessons, language classes, and acting classes. They were also trained in stagecraft and public speaking to prepare them for their future roles as idols.

As trainees, the brothers spent every day filled with singing, dancing, and practicing their skills, constantly pushing each other to become better. They would spend hours perfecting their dance routines and vocal techniques, but at the end of each practice session, they would play games, exchange jokes, and learn more about each other. Their time together only strengthened their brotherhood and made them a stronger and more cohesive team.

Living together, Taejoon, Mark, Jaehyun, Jihoon, Hyunwoo, and Yeonjun shared a dormitory with a large living room, bedrooms, and two shared bathrooms. They would all pitch in to keep their living space clean and cozy, taking turns cooking for each other and watching K-Dramas together in the evenings. After months of intensive training, Taejoon, Mark, Jaehyun, Jihoon, Hyunwoo, and Yeonjun were sent to Los Angeles, California, for a change of pace. In LA, they received further instruction in singing and dancing, but they also got to explore the city and participate in new activities. They visited theme parks, beaches, and other tourist spots and met some Hollywood celebrities. It was a refreshing break from the intense training in Korea, and it gave them a chance to relax and bond as a group. Mark was so excited that he was able to come back home for a couple of weeks during his trainee period in LA and was able to speak to his family for a couple of hours before he got back into the rigorous training regime that they had to follow.

Mark: Hi Mom, hi Dad! How are you guys doing?

Mark's Mom: Hi Mark! We're doing good. It's good to hear from you. How's everything going with your training in South Korea?

Mark: Everything is going well, Mom. I've been working hard with my group, and we're progressing daily. We should return to LA for a couple of weeks for our training session until we finish our session here.

Mark's Dad: That's great to hear, Mark. How is everything else going with you, besides just the training?

Mark: Well, to be honest, living in Korea and being a trainee here is pretty tough. But I've formed a close bond with my group members, and we've become like brothers.

Mark's Mom: Aww, that's so sweet. We're glad you're making friends and putting in the time and effort to become successful as a K-pop artist.

Mark: Yeah, it's been amazing. I never thought I would meet talented people and form close friendships with them so quickly. From Taejoon and Jaehyun's amazing vocals to Jihoon's incredible R&B songwriting skills to Hyunwoo and Yeonjun's fantastic dancing abilities, we all have something unique to offer together. We're unstoppable.

Mark's Dad: It's great to hear you've found such a supportive and tight-knit group to work with. It will help you achieve your goals.

Mark: Exactly, and on top of that, I'm also learning so much about our Korean culture and reconnecting to the language while there. It's been such an eye-opening experience, and I'm so grateful.

Mark's Mom: Well, we're proud of you, Mark. Keep up the hard work, and don't forget to care for yourself too!

Taejoon, Mark, Jaehyun, Jihoon, Hyunwoo, and Yeonjun were reminded of their ultimate goal each day and knew they had to keep working hard. They spent long hours practicing and refining their skills, constantly seeking new performance opportunities. Taejoon: Guys, how was your day today?

Mark: It was okay, just a lot of practicing and voice exercises. How about you?

Despite the competitive nature of the K-Pop industry, Taejoon, Mark, Jaehyun, Jihoon, Hyunwoo, and Yeonjun were never jealous of each other's successes. During the training process, they had to film the daily lives to promote the group even though they didn't have a team name yet so far:

Jaehyun: I look forward to practicing and performing with you, but I will miss this place too. We've made some great memories here as trainees.

Jihoon: Yeah, these past few months have been incredible. We've learned so much and grown so much as a group.

Jaehyun: Agreed. We need someone with excellent leadership skills who is responsible and can keep us together.

Jihoon: I think it should be Taejoon. He's always been great at bringing us together, keeping us on task, and ensuring everyone is heard.

Hyunwoo: I agree. He's always been there for us, helping us through the tough times and celebrating the good times.

Yeonjun: And he's always been able to communicate with us effectively and collaborate with everyone to find the best solutions.
