I know your secret

I looked at our most recent target, a rather sizeable marine base that wasn't on any maps I could find. But after searching through the memories of a few Rear Admirals, I was able to figure out the location of seven hidden bases with all sorts of goodies and treasure.

"It looks like Cal has her work cut out for her. " I looked over as Leana teleported next to me and stood in mid-air. Her Geppo had reached such an impressive stage that I couldn't even see her jump.

"I think you're underestimating our little warrior. Her haki has reached an impressive level. And Cal has wanted to go full out for a while now." Before I could finish speaking, there was a sonic boom, and I looked over to see a crater in the middle of the marine base.

Leana smiled, "You might be right. It's a shame, though. I've been working on my technique as well." At the exact moment, both Leana's and my eyes flashed, and we moved to the side as a cannonball passed through where my head used to be.

"What type of cannons do they have down there? I didn't even hear the explosion," Leana complained as her arms turned a deep black in preparation for the next attack. Remembering something from the anime, I looked around and saw a small dot on the beach.

"I think I know who's behind this. It shouldn't take too long. The old man probably missed his nap time." Taking my time, I stopped in front of the Marine Vice Admiral.

"Can you stop? I'm trying to watch the show." Ignoring me, the old man wound up again and threw another fastball my way. Sighing, I caught the ball aimed for Leana and looked at the steam rising from the heated steel.

Garp smiled, "I don't know why they assigned me here, but you have a lot of nerve doing what you're doing." Lowering myself to the ground, I tilted my head, "I think you're the last person to criticize me. After all, you've raised the three most dangerous people in the world to the Government."

I could see the surprise pass in the Vice Admiral's eyes, but he smiled. "So you know about all of that did Ace tell you?" Garp asked as he reached for another cannonball.

"No, I figured that all out on my own. It wasn't easy either. But don't worry, I won't tell anyone." I winked at Garp, and he snorted, "No one would believe you anyway." He threw another cannonball, and I blocked with a portal sending it into my void.

Garp's grin widened, "So Kuzan was telling the truth, you do have another devil fruit. I bet the papers will have a blast when this goes public." I shrugged, "I think they'll be more interested. I've toyed with the Government enough now I'm going for the jugular."

Garp started to laugh at my threat until tears rolled down his cheeks, but he suddenly stopped his face grave. "Don't take the Marine lightly, boy. You have no idea what you're messing with."

Snapping my fingers, I opened a door in mid-air out of complete darkness, "Maybe so, but ask yourself how long before I find out." Stepping through the portal, I exited onto the deck of Akuma next to Ace.

"Didn't expect to see you back here so soon. Is Cal still fighting?" I nodded in confirmation, "Yeah, I just ran into Vice Admiral Garp." When I said his name, I saw Ace's fists tightened, and his voice went deadly silent, "Did you two fight? Did you kill him, Soren?"

Smirking, I patted Ace on the shoulder, "Don't worry. I didn't lay a finger on him. After how would I feel if you attacked my grandfather."

"So you knew, huh?" I smiled, "A month after we first fought, it was hard to find out. I also know who you're real father is." Stiffening again, Ace sighed, "Of course you do. I don't think even anyone besides you and Pop's know outside of Grap."

"I don't know why you hide your heritage, but I know you must have a reason, just know you have my discretion." Turning back to look at the marine fort, which was quickly crumbling to the ground.

"You know," Ace said as he leaned in closer, "It won't be long before the girls start asking why you haven't put a ring on them yet." Looking at him sideways, I wondered where this had come from, "Did they put you up to this, also? Don't tell me how I manage my relationships."

"I'm just saying you have two beautiful women who love you, and you clearly love them. I'm just saying I would lock that stuff down." Rolling my eyes, I couldn't look at his shit-eating grin anymore, "Whatever, man. The last thing I need right now is to worry about marriage."

We watched in silence as Cal destroyed the rest of the base, leaving nothing behind but a smoldering island and waters littered with wooden scraps and metal. A few minutes later, Cal landed on the ship with a small bag in her hand.

"That was fun. I haven't had that good of a workout in a while. Also, the storage bag worked great. I might ask you to make some more." Cal opened the pouch and tipped it over, spilling out a mountain of treasure.

I put the treasure back into my storage and smiled. Not wanting to be there every time to loot the vault or treasure room, I created small pouches of storing with a storage void similar to my own though it was not infinite.

"Glad to hear it worked. I'll start making more of them." Cal brushed off the dirt and blood off her hands, "That was the last one right, what do we do know."

Smiling, I made the evil pyramid with my fingers, "It's time to visit an old friend. I have some work to finish."
