83 New Dawn

Flying over the Holy Land, I looked at the institution that housed the world's supreme rulers and the greatest criminals in the world. In the short amount of time, I had been gone. The entire Island was rebuilt and not a single brick laid without the blood and tears of another human.

Slowly lowering myself to the ground, I looked around at the grand buildings and remembered that I had walked the same road in bondage. I wasn't even allowed to take a single step before alarm bells rang and marines flooded from the building forming a circle around me.

It was a sea of blue and white, all training their guns on me. I spotted ballista and cannon's mounted in the windows, all trained at my chest. And amid all the chaos, someone started to clap.

In one uniform motion, the soldiers moved aside, revealing the trio of World Nobles. "See, I told you, Father, he would come. After all, a dog always comes back to its master." I rolled my shoulder as the grating voice of my enslaver churned a pool of boiling rage inside me.

The three bubbleheads looked as smug as ever, and I almost felt sorry for them until I remember what they did to me and countless others. "Outstanding work Shalria, now we can capture this criminal and bring him to justice."

Ignoring the celestial dragon, I looked at the crowd surrounding me. I wondered if I should spare them. Some had families. They were brothers, sisters, mothers, and fathers. But I shook my head, they knew what atrocities happened on this island, and they still stood to defend those who carried it out and dare to call it justice.

Shalria smiled as she saw the storm pass over my face, "What's wrong? Did you think you could waltz into the Holy Land and kill all of us in our sleep?" Charlos and Rosward laughed at the apparent joke their heads titled back to hold their heads high.

In silence, I grabbed the handle of Sanguinem and unsheathed the black metio sword. "That would be too kind of me." Their laughter stopped and glared, "The dog finally speaks. Maybe before they kill you for the whole world to see, I'll cut off your tongue."

I smiled at Shalria, my teeth slowly growing into fangs, "That's the thing, you don't remember the pain you've caused others. You already cut off my tongue several times. One time I almost drowned in my own blood. Do you know what that feels like to drown while your body is still dry? I do, in a way, you turned me into what I am, and that is the only thing I have to thank you for."

I watched as the faces of everyone around me shifted to ones of horror and fear. My skin burst at the seams as strands of muscles started to overlap my body. I felt as each bone and tissue in my body grew and expanded, and it hurt.

It was poetic in a sick sort of way. The pain I had pushed deep inside me was breaking through, fueling my emotions. I roared as it all washed over me, an unholy sound that shattered windows and made some flee in terror.

A new layer of skin formed over my new body, smooth and unscarred as I finally had an outlet to funnel my pain into. I heard gunfire and the impact of the bullets, but they all pinged off. I wouldn't allow anyone to leave their mark on me.

It was liberating as I looked down at my naked body, my skin the same color as marble. I was nearly two feet taller, putting me at nine feet which was still relatively short in this world. But I now towered over most of the marines.

Summoning a portal, I reached into the void and pulled out a white gi, and put on the robe preserving my dignity. "After today, this Island will not stand. The legacy you have built will come crumbling to the ground. I will build a better world, it will not be perfect, but it will be an improvement from the monstrosity your ancestors created."

Holding out my palm, I created a bone blade and realized that it was the same color as Sanguine. Scanning over my body quickly, I saw that the mineral composition of my bones was almost the same as my sword.

My blade had fused with me during my transformation, turning my bones almost indestructible. "There is a new era, and fortunately, it does not include you." I kicked off the ground forming a crater and toppling through the marines to wrap my hands around Charlos' and Rosward's necks.

Then like breaking a twig, I snapped their necks. Dropping them like the sacks of shit they were, I looked at Shalria. "Do you remember all those years ago when I left you a little present. Of course, you do. But I think it's time I added a few more."

But before I could carry out my revenge, I felt a searing pain drip down my back, groaning. I pinned Shalria's hand to the floor with my bone spike, and she screamed the first of many I would squeeze out of her.

The lava on my back dripped onto the ground melting the stone. Looking to the rooftops, I saw the three figures standing in the sun behind their backs.

"So they did call you here, but you weren't quick enough. I already killed to of your masters. The three admirals glared down at me.

"Arvil D. Soren, " Akainu said as he dropped down from the roof, turning the stone around him to molten slag. "You are guilty of killing two World Nobles. I will carry out your sentence."

I smiled at the literal hothead, "I don't think you understand how outclassed you are. I'll make sure to put your skull as my new figurehead." I could see that Akainu didn't take my threat seriously as he surged forward on a wave of lava, uncaring for the marines in front of him.

Sighing, I touched the ground turning the stone into a portal sending all the marines into the void, "Just sit tight. I'll take you out later."
