The Queen's Entrancing Power

Vincent and Quinn both turned to the direction the knife came from and saw four assassins in their black attire and a man with his face opened running on the roof. The man was obviously a witch, he changed his face instead of covering it like the assassins. They had somehow defeated the guards all around the palace walls and have climbed over the walls to enter the palace.

The five of them landed on the ground and ran towards Vincent and Quinn. Caesar ran to their side as Vincent got ready to fight while Quinn quickly picked up her sword from the weapon's rack just as an assassin swung his knife at her. She blocked it with her sword.

The assasin shot up his knee, but she jumped back. She grabbed his wrist and twisted it, making him screech in pain. She shot up her own knee and slammed it into his stomach. He started conjuring a blue fire ball on his uninjured hand, but she saw it coming and ducked as he fired it.

As she continued fighting the assasisin with fists and her sword, Vincent was fighting two assassins and the witch. The assassin on the right threw a punch at him and he ducked. The assassin on the left came at him with a knife. He lifted his right leg and kicked the knife out of his hand. The witch threw an electric spell at him, but he stepped aside.

That was when he remembered that the curse that was placed on him to limit his powers and affect his health was broken. He could use all his powers now. His lips lifted in a satisfied smile Aa he raised his right hand up at the three people attacking him. They all fell dead on the ground. He turned to the assassin attacking Quinn and moved his raised hand to face him. He also fell dead on the ground.

Quinn looked up at him in amazement as she gave him a grateful smile. Remaining the two attacking Caesar, Vincent knew that they needed them for questioning. So they could not afford them dying. He spread his fingers towards them and they stopped moving as if they were being held in place by someone. Caesar looked at him in shock as Quinn mirrored his expression. He glanced at Caesar, "Restrain them."

"Yes, your Highness." Caesar replied and quickly took the cloth tied around his middle as part of his robe. He tied cut it into two and quickly tied each half around each assassin's two hands.

Vincent let his hand fall and he took in a breath them breathed out. "Take them to the dungeon. We will question them tomorrow."

"Yes, your Highness." Caesar replied and grabbed onto each of them with each of his hand. He dragged them away as they glared at Vincent.

The King turned to Quinn as she stood panting a few feet beside him. He was beside her in a second using his speed and he held her face with both hands as he looked her over. "Quinn, are you okay?"

"Yes, thanks to you. I can see that all your powers are back." She replied as she gave him a small smile.

"Yes, and that is thanks to you for loving me and helping me break the curse." He said as he ran one hand through her hair.

"It is really amazing how you do it. You only need to raise your hand and they all fall dead. You defeated an army by yourself. No wonder the dark witches are so afraid of you."

"Yes, my powers cannot be matched by theirs or any other creature since I am meant to be a protector from my bloodline." He took both of his hands away from her hair and face.

"I now know how lucky I am to have the most powerful being as my mate." Her statement made him let out a chuckle.

"I am the lucky one, Quinn. You are everything and more that I have ever desired in a mate." He said as he looked sincerely into her eyes.

Her smile widened and he took her hand to lead her out of the training field. She tugged him back, "Wait, I need to put the sword back."

He nodded and took it from her hand. One second he was in front of her, holding the sword and another second, the sword was gone from his hand. She looked to the weapon's rack and saw that he had placed it back in a millisecond. "Wow! That was so fast! Will I be able to be that fast someday?"

He chuckled, "Yes, and soon from how fast you are adapting to your new nature."

"That reminds that you said you will help me know what my powers are at the end of the day, and it is getting quite dark." Quinn reminded him as she looked up at the sky.

"Yes, let us do it now." He said, bringing her gaze back to him.

"Alright."

He took both of her hands in his, "Close your eyes."

She followed his instruction and closed her eyes. He gave her another instruction, "Think about your powers and how you want them to appear."

She thought about her powers and how she wanted to know them. As she did, she saw her beauty turning people into her slaves on one side of her closed eyelids and her hands turning animals into cooked food like Vincent had done on their way to the demon Kingdom. She thought more about the beauty image she saw seeing since she did not understand it well.

"Open your eyes, Quinn. You are glowing." She heard Vincent murmur and she opened her eyes to see him looking at her in astonishment.

"Your power is to entrance people with your beauty and have them do whatever you want." He said as she looked at her hands holding his as they glowed golden as the rest of her.
