Attack On The King And Queen

Quinn looked up into Vincent's eyes to see his own eyes on her lips. He lifted his gaze to her eyes and she felt the heat coming from his dark, captivating eyes. "We need to train now, but after, I will make sure that you will never want to leave my bed as well."

She felt a delightful shiver run through her body at his very enticing threat. "I am looking forward to it."

He grinned at her response, showing those pointed teeth. Taking his hand away from her face, he led her to the weapons on the training field while Caesar followed them. She took her gaze away from Vincent and looked around the field. It was very large with trimmed green grass that made it easier for combat, and weapons on a rack by the right side.

They reached the weapons and she saw that they included swords, shields, bows and arrows, knives and more. Vincent  released her hand and glanced at her, still smiling, "Which one can you use?"

She glanced at him then at the weapons, "The sword."

He nodded and picked two swords, "Sword it is then."

He handed her one by holding the hilt to her. She took it from him and studied it. There were intricate designs on the sword's hilt and the blade had writing on it in another language. She looked up at him to see him watching her, he raised his eyebrows in question as he gripped his sword which was identical to hers. "It's beautiful."

"Yes, they have to be as a demon's sword." He replied and she nodded as she weighed the sword in her hand. She noticed that it felt so light even though swords were heavy. That must be because of her turning into a demon. She swung the sword in her arm, left and right to acquaint herself with it.

"Alright, let us begin." Vincent said as he raised his sword in front of him.

She nodded and also raised hers in front of her as they both planted their feet firmly on the ground. She charged at him first, swinging her sword right. He saw it coming and blocked it with his sword. She swung downwards, towards his abdomen and he blocked it too.

Stepping back one step, she grinned at him before swinging the sword towards his right again. He blocked that too, that was how it went. Each time she swung her sword, she became faster, her new acquired vampire speed was showing and he also started using his own vampire speed.

He then switched from blocking her to attacking and she blocked. He swung towards her right side, but she did not see that coming, and he almost pierced her side. Holding his sword back at the last minute before it touched her clothes, he pulled it back and swung towards her neck. She leaned back and swung her sword to block him, their swords clanked as he attacked and she blocked.

He swung his sword to her left and she blocked it, faster than she had ever done before. She then swung her sword towards his neck, but he blocked that too as he stared into her eyes. She stared back into his captivating, dark eyes as she pressed her sword against his. Feeling drawn to him as she saw his heated eyes, she leaned her head closer to him and he leaned his closer as well.

He pushed his sword up to push hers away and she stepped back, letting it hang beside her. He let his hang beside him too as he stared at her with an impressed look on his face. "You are amazing, Quinn. I am very impressed that your level of sword fighting is almost as good as mine. Many here are not close to how good you are, are all soldiers at Neather trained that way?"

She grinned at his praise, "No, my brothers and I were trained by my mother's brother who was an assassin for a demon, and I am very glad that you are impressed."

"Do you know the demon's name?" He asked with a curious look as he walked closer to her and took her sword from her hand. His fingers grazed hers as he did so and she felt her heart beat faster at the contact.

"I think it is Cyrus or Sylver? It starts with that, but I cannot clearly remember because my uncle passed away two years ago and I have not heard of the demon ever since." She replied as he walked to the weapon's ranck and placed the swords back.

He turned back to her, "I do not know any high demon by that name, but he may be lower in rank."

She nodded and he took steps towards her until he was directly in front of her, staring at her face as she stared back. "Did he also teach you hand to hand combat?"

His breath fanned her lips, making her lose focus for a while. "Yes, he trained us on everything he knew about fighting."

"Alright, then that is what we are going to practice now." He said as he took one step back from her.

"Okay, that sounds good." She replied as he formed his hands into fists and held them in front of him. She also did as he did, planting her feet firmly on the ground.

"Okay, attack me." He said and she threw a punch at him, he leaned to the side using his speed and dodged.

She threw another punch at his left side and he leaned to the side, dodging it. He grabbed her wrist and pulled her to him. She landed on his chest as he wrapped his arms around her waist. Gasping in surprise, she looked at him with widened eyes and he grinned at her showing those pointed teeth. He leaned in to kiss her when he suddenly pulled her down in a duck as a knife shot pass their heads.
