Chapter 123: she's dead.

May and David were waiting from outside when Gladys came back. She had gone home to change clothes and prepare some breakfast so she cams with her food box to find May and David.

She was very surprised to see David whom she expected to be in Africa.

" Mr Wong..you are here ? " She asked stopping before them.

" Yeah. We had come to check on Alyssa. " David answered.

" Then why aren't you inside ? " She asked turning to face the door when David held her by the hand.

" Something happened to Alyssa. The doctors are working on her. " David said.

" What do you mean ? I left when she was fair and Calcel was on her side. What happened ? " Gladys asked getting worried.

" Ma'am, I was there when she begun breathing difficultly so I rushed to call the doctor. " May spoke out.

" You were there and..." Gladys was asking when the doctors came out.

The three stared at him anxiously.

" Doctor , Is my daughter fine ? " Asked Gladys impatiently.

The doctor removed the mask to talk to them.

" Ma'am, Mr and Ms..." He said to all the three.

" We regret to tell you that we couldn't save her life. " The doctor declared.

Gladys felt shock and her body trembled immediately as tears found their way out from her eyes.

" Doctor...you said....my....my daughter is dead ? " She asked in a shaky voice still not believing it.

" We sorry Ma'am. " Said the nurse who was standing besides the doctors.

May suddenly grabbed the Doctor's coat by the collars and said.

" It can't be. I and Father just entered when she was doing fine. How can that happen ? " May questioned showing concern.

" She became out of oxygen. " Said the doctor.

" May calm down ! " David implored.

" Father...it's hard to believe. " May burst into crocodile tears leaning back to David.

" No....I will see her myself. "Gladys walked past them and entered the room to find the body already covered with white sheets. She burst out in more tears and pulled away the sheets.

" Alyssa...How can you do this to me ? Please wake up ! Wake up ! Mom is here to see you. Wake up please ! " She cried until David came inside and pulled her away.

He held her into his arms and hugged her. Gladys continued crying helplessly.

While the situation was like this, The original Alyssa in the other room was being transferred to the operation room so that her face would be operated. Robert had offered a photo of Marvis after having a talk wouth Gladys who had a greed to do all the payments. But now Gladys daughter is dead, Would she still help them ?

May stayed outside and a smile formed on her face. She had not thought that killing Alyssa would be so easy like this. After this she got her phone and rung Cynthia.

" Mom.." She said talking in a low sad voice.

" I heard the news already. Alyssa got a miscarriage and our plan was successful. What is it now ? " Cynthia asked from the other side.

" Mom, She's dead. " May said forcing a shaky voice.

" What are you talking about ? " Cynthia asked getting up from her sofa.

" Alyssa...she just died. " May said.

Cynthia's phone fell out of her hands on hearing this and unlike May a tear dropped from her.

" Is it possible that we killed her ? OH MY...why didn't I think that things would end up like this ? " Cynthia asked herself and then picked up her phone amd purse.

" I should hurry to the hospital. "

Calcel had decided to go to the company after leaving the Mansion. He didn't want to collide with David and May from the hospital.

He first did his work and gave the workers assignments and it was clocking to 3:30pm when his phone rung and it was none other than David.

' Now he just wants to quarrel again...." He thought and put the phone is silence not wanting receive it.

When the call ended the phone went on again and it was David.

Calcel finally received the call ready to be scolded by his father.

" Father...it's me.." He said.

" Hurry to the hospital right now. Something happened to Alyssa. " David didn't want to he so direct.

Anything concerning Alyssa Calcel didn't need a second thought. He rushed of the company and drove to the hospital.

Calcel arrived just after Cynthia was there. He found them all in the room , Gladys was seated on the sofa with David besides her. He was still trying to comfort her. The same was with May and Cynthia.

Calcel looked at them and then at the body on the body on the bed. She was fully covered with the white sheets.

" What is going on ? " He asked already assuming what it was.

" Alyssa....is no more.." Gladys managed to declare.

At this point May and Cynthia's focus went to him. They wanted to see how pain swallowed him and prove how much he was into her.

Calcel went and opened but the face still had bandages on it. He knelt down on his two knees and raised his arms to her. Her eyes were closed. Though the face had been covered, The eyes nose and lips had been given space to allow the life support system. But still one couldn't figure out if this was really Alyssa or not.

Calcel sighed and tears escaped from both his eyes as his hands touched her face.

" Alyssa why ? " He asked loud as if he had forgotten that his father and his wife were right there.

" Why did you have to leave me like this ? " he questioned.

" Is it because I didn't protect our baby and you decided to go with it ? Or...it's because ...because....I failed to protect you . No.... you left because i am married and you were worried about breaking my marriage ? " He asked all these questions while shading tears.

" Alyssa tell me , What didn't I do ? " He asked. " I was ready to sacrifice everything to be with you ? "

" Why leave me now ? " He asked as he cried helplessly as a baby. He was really wailing loudly his crys filling the whole room.
