26. Return

On hearing my words, Nike got a little emotional and bowed with his head almost touching the ground "Thank you, lord Elior for your benevolence. I don't know how this town will ever be able to relay you"

"You don't need to worry about that. I didn't help this town expecting something in return.

I can see that you are dedicated to your profession. Keep up the good work" I told him with a small smile and threw a bag full of coins at him which he catched.

I conjured a platform made of light and urged the mother- daughter duo to get up and before Nike could say anything, I flew the platform up above.

If I had stayed there for an extra moment, I would have seen Nike bawling his eyes out with snot flowing from his nose while muttering "Ah! such kindness. I can't believe there is still someone so pure in this world. I will make sure that the tales of your kindness reaches far and wide"

On the platform, I was currently being stared at by my traveling companions who had awe in their eyes and it was getting a little uncomfortable.

So I turned towards them and asked "What is it?"

"Little El is such a kind child"

"Brother, you are so kind"

"Kyuu~"

My companions answered simultaneously and I got a little embarrassed at such direct compliments and my cheeks reddened a little.

"Fufu, little El is so cute" aunty giggled while covering her mouth.

"Right, brother is very cute" "kyuu~" and other two supported her.

"Haha" I just laughed wryly while scratching my neck. Like this time passed and I increased the speed of platform a little while still keeping it comfortable for the others.

Since it was my first mission and I was missing my family a little, I decided to return directly to Magnolia without stopping anywhere between after confirming with others.

(A few hours later)

We finally reached Magnolia after a few hours as I couldn't travel faster with my companions. In this time, I bonded with Luna, Cana and aunty Cornelia a lot.

Right now, it was night time so I took them to my house and decided to submit my quest report tomorrow.

As soon as we reached outside my home, I lowered the platform and we all stepped on the ground as the platform disappeared in motes of light.

I knocked on the door of house and soon heard the voice of my sister "Coming~"

As soon as she came out, she saw me, her eyes started watering and she jumped to embrace me "Brother!!"

"I am back Erza" I hugged her back and after a few seconds, she separated from me and took notice of the strangers.

"Ah! I got a new friend for you Erza. Come here Cana" I beckoned Cana to come near and introduced them to each other.

"This is my sister, Erza and this here is Cana. She is also my little sister. I hope you two become good friends."

They were a little shy but with my support they started taking talking a little. On hearing the noises, Irene also came out and embraced me while questioning "Why are you standing outside El. Won't you invite your guests inside"

"Oh! I nearly forgot. Please come in. " I invited

them inside and we all sat down in the hall where every resident of the house including Nina,Yuna,Heine amd Juliet and our guests had dinner.

At first, they were reluctant to sit together with us as they considered themselves beneath us but after I scolded them for thinking like that and ordered them, they compiled and accepted to have dinner with us.

I introduced everyone to each other including Luna. Irene was a little surprised on seeing her and everyone else had stars in their eyes with Erza hugging and squeezing the life out of her.

After the meal, I asked Nina to get Cana and aunty accommodated in the guest room.

We all decided to call it a day and talk about the rest tomorrow.
