BE A GOOD WIFE AND DAUGHTER

"I can't believe this! My daughter was sold off and bought by Eden Parker! But…. Why…? He is a rich and handsome man who could get any woman he wishes, why would he need to take a wife from such a place?" Alice muttered, appalled by everything she just heard.

She was a little confused as to why someone would go to such a place to find a wife and a mother for his child. Above all the fact that her own daughter was sold off was something that she couldn't quite register in her mind.

"Well, Ma, though I don't know the real reason for this. All I know is that accepting to be his wife will change our whole life. Ma, he said that he is going to send Kate to the best high school in the whole of Graceland and send Nate abroad for his treatment and studies, and also not forget to give you a stable life," Mia said, detailing the benefits they could get if she accepted the proposal.

"He wants to do that..... Who knew a helper would come in such a way," Alice said with her eyes filled with tears.

"Ma, I told you that everything will be alright, God will always find a way to bless us, so don't worry about anything."

"I know Mia, but you…. are going to become his wife? You are giving up your whole future just for us," Alice spoke with a troubled look.

"Ma, I know what you mean by that."

"You don't love him and you are willing to marry him… for us. Wh-h-hat if he turns out to be just like your father? I-I-I don't want my daughter to go through the same thing I went through," Alice scrunched her brows with uneasiness in her heart.

Before Mia could reply, they were interrupted by a firm and exquisite voice.

"There is no need to worry. Your daughter is in safe hands," Eden said, walking closer to the mother and daughter seated on the couch.

When he was close enough, he pulled Mia towards him, before continuing in a declaring tone, "Please know, ma'am that I have taken an interest in your daughter. As long as she is a good mother and a wife, I won't let even a single mark appear on her skin."

Still shocked from being pulled by Eden, Mia just stared at him as he spoke. Her cheeks had a little pinkish tint to them when he mentioned having an interest in her.

Anyone who looked at her now would think she had the world, to have the one and only Eden Parker wrap his arms around her.

"Y-you are Eden Parker, right?" Alice asked, still in shock but scrutinising his cold face to know if he was being honest with his words.

"Yes I am, it's a pleasure to meet you, mother-in-law. I'm sorry I came without proper introduction, but I am afraid we are running too late to do that now. I have to let my daughter meet her new mother," Eden said.

His words were gentle and courteous.

Sighing, Alice said, "Thank you for saving my daughter's life and for agreeing to take care of my twins, I will forever be indebted to you."

"Your debt has already been paid by your daughter so don't worry. Now if you'll excuse us, we will take our leave," saying that Eden held Mia on her waist and was about to walk out with her when Mia freed herself from his hold and ran towards her mother.

"Ma, I will take my leave now, don't worry I will call you tonight and visit you tomorrow. Please don't tell Kate and Nate the full story ok, bye."

"Hmm…" Alice nodded.

After Mia was done, she and Eden walked out of the house together. All Alice could do was pray that her daughter has a happy life with her new family.

Entering the car, Mia and Eden both sat in the back seat. Seeing his boss and wife seated, Mr. Joe then started driving.

Mia couldn't help but steal glances at Eden during the ride. He had a laptop and some documents in front of him. It looked like he was busy with some work, but he still decided to come and pick her up.

This made Mia feel a little happy, no one except her family has ever cared for her like this. Then again when she realised that he was only doing this because of his daughter, her little feeling of happiness was doused by disappointment.

If he could spend 50,000,000 casually on a person just to find a mother for his daughter, what else could he not do for her?

Whoever the girl was, she must have done many good things in her past life to be blessed with a father like Eden.

Feeling the burning gaze from the woman beside him, Eden asked, "If you have something to say, say it!"

Mia fiddled with her fingers shyly before finally opening her mouth to speak, "Thank you for coming! Now my mom knows that I'm in safe hands."

"All I did was come to pick my wife. I don't see any reason you need to thank me for that, and I also got to see my mother-in-law so there is no need for this," Eden assured her.

Hearing his words, Mia cheeks heated a little as she blushed lightly. He did think of her as his wife which made her happy.

Mia never thought that she would ever become the wife of the Evil CEO, who she knew nothing about. Instead she thought she would end up with her perverted fiancée James.

He was a shameless and disgusting man, the only good thing about him was that he was rich and handsome. But he was nowhere comparable to the real Eden Parker, except in looks and net worth.

She never liked him even from the beginning, she was introduced to him. He was a man who Anna introduced to her father, and like an idiot her father gave his daughter's hand to a worthless idiot and didn't even feel remorse at all. He was truly the worst father ever!

Finally they reach their destination, the Viria Villa, Eden's own house where he lived with his daughter.

The Viria Villa was big and luxurious. It was the house of one of the richest CEOs in the whole of Graceland.

Stepping out of the car, Mia's jaw dropped in admiration. The house was the most beautiful thing she has ever laid her eyes on, literally.

She couldn't believe that this was where she was going to be living now.

Looking at the girl's expression, Eden's lips curled upwards. It seemed like he had married a Cinderella.

Entering the house, Eden held Mia's hands and pulled her in since she had lost her senses while still staring at the house.

Mia was completely mesmerised by the house. The inside was even more beautiful than the outside. It was like she was in a noble heaven.

They walked in together and were greeted by a smiling Aunt Mary "Welcome Eden and Umm…"

"Mia! It's Mia," hearing that, Mia quickly told Aunt Mary her name.

"Well, welcome Eden and Miss Mia."

Hearing this, Eden corrected her, "It will be Mrs Parker from now on!"

Smiling Aunt Mary said, "Ok, Mrs Parker, welcome. I'm Mary, but everyone likes to call me Aunt Mary, so feel free to call me that as well."

"Well then, it's a pleasure to meet you, Aunt Mary."

Looking around, Eden searched for his daughter but couldn't find her. He was expecting her to be prancing around excitedly waiting to meet Mia, but she was nowhere to be found.

Seeing Eden's searching eyes, Aunt Mary knew whom he was looking for. With a soft chuckle, she said, "She is upstairs making a gift for her new mother. Ever since you told her you were bringing her new mom home today, she has been jumping and smiling nonstop."

Hearing that made the hairs on Mia's skin twitch. She never imagined having a daughter at this age, especially when the child wasn't even her own.

Just as Aunt Mary finished speaking, a girl with long curly blonde hair and beautiful pair of ocean blue eyes came running towards them.
