Mother's Death

Williams, Mia and Yuri go to the Blessing Curse company by car. Yuri sat in the front seat beside Williams while Mia sat behind Williams. Williams and Yuri are still talking about mutant's abilities. While Mia secretly glanced at Yuri with admirations. She feels like falling in love but is not sure if Yuri has the same feeling.

The car they were riding in had reached a gate guarded by three security men. Two people approached the car while one person remained at the observation post.

"You are entering a restricted area. This area is exclusively for employees and clients of the Blessing Curse company."

"Tell Charles that Williams would like to meet him."

"Have you made an appointment beforehand?"

"Could you just say that to Charles?"

"Sorry sir, it seems you have to make an appointment first. Please come back another time."

"Nonsense!" Yuri immediately got out of the car and walked towards the two security guards. His young blood was in turmoil seeing the security's refusal. "Open the door or I'll beat all of you." Yuri asks them to open the gate while Williams get out of the car slowly. He didn't ask Yuri to back off because he wanted to test Yuri's ability.

"Look mate, looks like this cockroach needs to be taught a lesson."

Both security guards immediately took out their batons and attacked Yuri. Yuri, who had studied martial arts in high school, easily dodged the attack. The two security guards started to get angry. They pounded their batons wildly but none of them could hit Yuri who was more agile in dodging. Unexpectedly, the two security guards began to change their forms into iron men and stone humans.

"Wow, wow, what is this? Is this how you welcome guests?" Yuri kept her distance and was more alert.

The iron man immediately charged mercilessly towards Yuri. This time his movement was fast enough that Yuri didn't have time to dodge.

Bugh!

His left shoulder was hit by the iron man and sent him flying far away.

"Yuri!" Mia immediately got out of the car and ran towards Yuri trying to help him.

"Stop right there Mia! Don't come any closer!"

Yuri slowly stood up while holding his shoulder in pain.

Dzzzzttt…

Suddenly his body felt that there was an explosion of energy spreading throughout his body. His brain felt as if it was downloading his opponent's abilities. To make sure what he feel Yuri concentrated using his new ability and he succeeded in changing his form into an iron man too. The stone man immediately took advantage of the moment Yuri caught off guard and smacked his iron face.

Tang!

Yuri was thrown away for the second time.

Dzzzzttt…

Due to physical contact with the stone man made Yuri feels like copying his opponent's ability. Yuri then tried to change his form into a stone man and succeeded. Both security guard were very surprised and immediately stopped the attack. They returned to their human forms.

"Incredible! Your abilities are extraordinary, young man."

A tall old man clapped his hands and smiled broadly.

"How are you Charles?" Williams stretched out his arms to welcome the man.

"Oh, Williams. Why didn't you tell me that you were coming? You should have let us know so we could welcome you properly."

It turns out that security guard at the observation post secretly contacted Charles through the intercom about the incident. Charles did not come alone. He brought his three personal bodyguards, David - a mutant with teleportation abilities, Light - a mutant with super speed, and Anna - a mutant with the ability to manipulate the four elements of water, fire, wind and metal.

"I'm sorry I didn't inform you before you because this is urgent matter. I want Yuri, that young man over there, to join your company. I think he will be useful even though I still don't know what he capable of."

"Oh so he came with you? Where did you find him? He is unique. He seems can copy other's ability by direct contact. It's not a problem for me to let him join us as long as he could pass personality test."

"Do you remember Mr. Asada? He's his son."

"What? You're not joking, aren't you?"

"Just look at his face. Why would I joke after all?"

"I see."

Meanwhile at Yuri's house his mother was in the kitchen cooking chicken curry for dinner. At that time someone entered the house without asking permission. At Yuri's house, the door was rarely locked because the area was safe, there were almost never any cases of theft. The man looked frightened as if someone was chasing him. He also hid in Yuri's wardrobe which was quite large and incidentally not much things in it.

Bruakkk!!

Suddenly the front door was kicked open. Two well built men entered followed by a tall and thin woman who was around 50 years old.

"Get out, Alex! I know you're hiding here." One of the men shouted.

Yuri's mother immediately turned off the stove and ran towards the living room. How surprised she was to find that three unknown people barged into her house without permission.

"Hey, what are you guys doing? Who are you? It's against the law to enter someone's house without permission."

Then the thin woman approached Yuri's mother and said, "We are looking for someone who is hiding here. Tell me where you hid him!"

"What do you mean? I'm all alone in this house. Who are you looking for?"

"Don't lie! I don't like being lied to." The woman screamed as she grabbed Yuri's mother by the jaw and lifted her up in the air and then threw her against the wall.

"How dare you cause trouble in this house."

Mrs. Asada got up slowly, her mouth chanting an incantation as her hands made strange movements. It wasn't long before strange writing and pictures appeared all over the floor of the house.

It turns out that Mrs. Asada is a witch who has been hiding her identity all this time. She has protective type of magic, not attacker type. She has fortified the house and its surroundings with protection magic which when activated will make anyone who is inside it will be cursed except for people who are related by blood to the user of the magic.

The curse was in the form of the illusion of thinking that he was in a tightly bound state and was stabbed by dozens of merchants repeatedly. The pain felt so real that the person affected by the curse would scream in pain like a madman. In fact, sometimes some people decide to commit suicide because they can't stand the pain.

The three intruders began to feel the effects of Mrs. Asada's curse. The two men even screamed while rolling on the floor because of the pain they were feeling. In contrast to the thin woman, she only closed her eyes for a moment then her mouth began to chant a spell while her hands moved like she was dancing. Suddenly, black smoke came out of her body, indicating that the curse had been released from her.

Mrs. Asada was surprised not to expect her to be facing a witch as well. The woman took out a small staff from under her dress and chanted an incantation while pointing at Mrs Asada. The staff shot a white light and hit Mrs Asada's chest. In an instant Mrs. Asada was thrown away into the wall and there was a wound in her chest as if she had been hit by a fireball. Before she could get up, the woman kicked her in the head, causing Mrs. Asada felt very dizzy. Mrs. Asada immediately chanted a self-protection spell but unfortunately she had not finished chanting when suddenly a knife stuck from the back of her neck and penetrated forward. Mrs. Asada died instantly, very horribly.

The woman rummaged through the house and found Alex cowering in fear in the cupboard. The woman grinned and immediately dragged the young man out and took him away leaving her two bodyguards who had fainted and could not stand the pain of the curse.
