A Few Days

Ethan

The oxygen mask on my face felt like it had started to cut into my skin with every passing second. I knew I could barely breathe without it, but at that point I was willing to take my chances. Some hair from my curtain bangs stuck to my still slightly sweaty forehead even though Pa had tried to wipe me down as best as he could.

For someone who was always used to being so active to suddenly be bed bound was the most frustrating thing in the universe. How I had even caught pneumonia I was not even sure. I always took vaccines and made sure I was always up to date with them but I figured with the long line of people I had met, the risks were always there.
