"Okay, how about I call Dr Meyers then and we can see what we can do?" There I was again bending my arm for Demyan when I knew I had to be the voice of reason for once in my life, but even I was struggling to do that.

He tried to suppress his smile. I could see it in the way the corners of his lips turned up but he pressed his lips together to seem passive about the whole situation. He looked away from me then shrugged, "Very well."

I wished I could flick his forehead at that exact moment.

"Well, your blood tests came back very good. I think you are past the point of no longer being contagious at this point therefore I think it is safe enough that Demyan may come in. He is fully vaccinated as well and just to be safe we'll make him wear a face mask and maybe scrubs so he doesn't pass anything to his clothes," Dr Meyers smiled and spoke loud enough for Demyan, who was standing in the doorway, to hear.
