With a heavy body, his eyes opened to glimpse at a single ray of light from nearby. A chilling frosty air embraced him, which made him all the lazier.
"Uggh… What happened?"
Rubbing his blurry eyes, he lethargically woke up from his slumber. What he saw was odd, that's for sure. Strange, he thought, because there was nary but a single candle lighting the entire shack in which he slept.
"… Lavy? Are you there?"
His first conscious thought was that of his companion, but there was no reply. And yet, somehow, he could feel her presence. This could only mean that she too was asleep. It was after that realization that he remembered what happened to the world.
'Oh, yea… There are no more sun days,' he thought of an abhorring idea ever known to man. Imagine having only one weekend day. The horror.
